Flama - Review - Eixample - Valencia - The Infatuation

"Flama is the go-to for fish and well-cut meat cooked over an open flame, surrounded by polished concrete, shelves of wine, and the smell of smoke drifting in from the kitchen. The steak tartare arrives engulfed in smoke like it wandered in from a forest fire, and the grilled tellinas—tiny local clams—pack a salty punch that pairs perfectly with a cold glass of cava. If it’s fish night, go for the Cantabrian turbot, a meaty gem of northern Spain, or the San Pedro that they’ll present to the table raw for you to admire before they grill, cut, and debone it right there. Feeling carnivorous? The steak doesn’t miss. End the night with the brioche cremaet with cappuccino ice cream comes hidden under a massive cloud of cotton candy—a nostalgic nod to Valencia’s boozy coffee drink and a finale that’ll have you grinning like a kid at a fair. All Food was amazing! The wagyu was way too fatty to our liking and I saw the table next to us experiencing the same.. is not their fault but I prefer a lower grade or different cut that is naturally "leaner"

Great food, steak and turbot was grilled right at the point! And positively surprised by the dessert as I’m normally not into dessert, the orange flavor is fantastic. We brought the baby with us and the staff was changing our table to the side with more space right away to accommodate. In addition, good wine selection!

Absolute class restaurant. Really enjoyed dining here! Big recommendation, it’s worth it!

I enjoyed the place and the food. I am shocked when I see people who rated the minimum (1 star) because "it is not possible to have a seat without reservation" or because they were bothering the staff and customers with their baby scroller (without telling in advance). Those people are so frustrated in their lives. This place definitely does not deserve a 1 star. Hope you will enjoy this place as I did.

Delicious and unique flavors. The tradition of the Valencian fish escalated to a new level. Amazing atmosphere, presentation, spectacular service and food quality. I really recommend it.

This is the first time I have come across such arrogance from restaurant workers in Spain. I booked a table for 4 people (I my wife and two children). When we entered the restaurant with a baby stroller, the employees began to whisper among themselves and look at us with displeasure. I asked what was the reason? The administrator answered me that we did not warn that we would come with a stroller. I had to call and ask permission to come with children and a stroller?!? If there were a professional administrator, you could help me remove the stroller or show me the place where you would like it to stand. Instead, there were some whispers and dissatisfaction in the eyes of the staff. I still tried to figure out the reason for such arrogance, the administrator answered me that the baby stroller would cause inconvenience to the restaurant workers. The restaurant is very beautiful and externally makes a very good impression, I don’t know what mission the founder of this restaurant had, but he needs to approach staff selection very competently, it seems to me that today’s team is working out of place.

Good atmosphere and great staff. The food is OK, not especial in any way for the price. There are way better restaurantes in Valencia.

What a fabolous experience! My friend and I are still talking about how much we enjoyed our dinner at Flama. We decided to pick a selection of dishes to try different things from their fantastic menu and we were totally amazed about them all. I can't say enough about this place, the flovours, the high quality of the ingridients, the attention to the details on the preparation and of course, their impecable service!! The stsff was so attentive and professional but at the same time friendly and made us feel like we were regular customers 😀. (This is not something easy to find everyday). I would go back for the anchovy on brioche and sheep butter in a heart bit, but also for their wagyu meat and of course their beef tartar on bread......:) Well is a 10/10. Highly recommended! Gracias Flama!
