The 18 Best Restaurants in Ibiza | Eater

"In its 14-year history, La Paloma has maintained its position as the island’s most perennially popular restaurant among locals and in-the-know visitors. Part of its popularity can be chalked up to its charming location in an ancient finca (estate) and its surrounding gardens, but it’s the Mediterranean menu, mixed with international influences and impeccably sourced ingredients, that cements its place as one of Ibiza’s most consistently enjoyable dining experiences. The affiliated cafe is open during the day and serves exceptional smoothies, salads, and sandwiches — much of it with Middle Eastern touches. [$$ -$$$]" - Christopher English

This is a classic traditional place, unlike the young chic restaurants down the road. Some of their dishes are excellent. We especially loved the crispy suckling pig , duck ravioli and the baked scallop on the shell.

A great restaurant. Top-class food. There is a very diverse menu where you will find hare and pigeons, oxtails and veal kidneys and much more. Mille feuille is the best of the best. 10 out of 10. Excellent service. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Difference choices of French and Basque cuisine. We liked everything we ordered and products are definitely high quality. Decoration and service very amenable. The only catch for me are portion sizes, which could be more generous. Recommended for family and friends gatherings.

I rank this restaurant at #1 in Madrid. What an absolute delight! Try their Taste Menu, which might be different from what we tried, but it will be worth it! 10/10! Well done, Chef! Well done, staff!

Google
Good service, cosy ambience like a family kitchen, food is definitely impressive. Though pricy, it’s worth. Highly recommended if you want a high-quality meal. You can start dinner at 2000 which is very convenient for people who prefer early dinner.

The food was great. So when our friends came we wanted to go back. We arrived at the terrace to ask for a table. The waitress looked straight at us, walked away to chat with people seated at a table. This kept on for over 5 minutes, so we took our business to la bien aparecida.

Yelp
La Paloma is an old fashioned classic Spanish restaurant. By "old fashioned", I mean old furniture, white linens, and no tourists. Staff does not speak English, but can figure out your needs with some hand gestures. The menu is Basque, so there are lots of seafood items. I opted for the tasting menu, which is usually what I get at a new restaurant. There were a few items that I liked, and a few items that I wish I hadn't spend any calories on. I generally liked the appetizers more than the entrees, however, nothing really stood out that would make me return again. Likes: * Gratineed bay scallops * Crispy prawn rolls * Apricot soup * Puff pastry apple tart So-so: * Grilled sea bass with a tomato and thyme compote * Roe deer baked with red fruits sauce Dislikes: * Carpaccio of foie gras The tasting menu includes a glass of white and a glass of red wine, which do go well with their fish and game meats. I have never been to Basque region, but hope Basque food is better than what was offered here.

Yelp
Saturday @ 8pm Came to the restaurant after reading the eater Madrid recommended list of restaurants and wasn't disappointed. We were the first ones to dine as busier time in Madrid is around 9:30pm which is too late for us . The ambiance is more towards the classic and formal type of dining . The place is adorned with beautiful paintings , tables with formal while tablecloth and decorated plates . We enjoyed the food which included the crowd favorite - shaved foie gras and scallops . For main , we had the steak , cod fish , crispy pork and oxtail . Service was impeccable , our server was very attentive ( one that is of a Michelin restaurant).

Yelp
Wonderful seafood! Great vibes! Service is great! Go for great seafood after the Rastro!
