Restaurante La Yedra

La Yedra completely exceeded my expectations. The setting is charming and intimate — think lush greenery, soft lighting, and a cozy, elegant atmosphere perfect for lingering over a glass of wine. The Iberico ham was simply outstanding — rich, perfectly cured, and sliced to melt in your mouth. But the star of the evening was the pork tendon — tender, beautifully glazed, and served with golden, crispy potatoes that added the perfect balance of texture and flavour. A true delight. Excellent service, an exceptional wine list, and a peaceful courtyard that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something secret and special. I’ll absolutely be returning.

We had the pleasure of dining at La Yedra in Carmona twice this week – once on Wednesday evening and again tonight – and both visits were absolutely outstanding. I started with the tempura prawns, which were light, fresh, and absolutely packed with flavour – a perfect beginning to the meal. For my main, I had the entrecôte, which was cooked to perfection – beautifully tender and full of rich flavour. The desserts were also amazing – I had the cheesecake with panna cotta ice cream, and it was truly to die for. The wines were lovely, thoughtfully chosen, and matched the food perfectly. But what really stood out was the incredible service. The team were warm, attentive, and went out of their way to accommodate my pregnant wife – setting up a cool, comfortable table and ensuring all of her food was fully cooked while still absolutely delicious. A real gem in Carmona – elegant, welcoming, and memorable in every way. We’ll definitely be back!

Outstanding food and service. Particular highlights were the fillet steak, pork tenderloin, croquettes and cheesecake. Superb food and lovely ambiance!

The restaurant is in a courtyard, which is lovely and relaxed. Our hostess explained all of the dishes on the menu and the specials available on that night. The service was attentive and very friendly. We were a party of three, we all had starter, main and dessert, each dish was excellent, the hake I had was the best I have tasted in years. I have no hesitation in recommending, absolutely no complaints.

Monica, the owner, welcomed the 4 of us silly Americans with open arms! She made great recommendations on food, wine and desserts and the service was timely and friendly. Food was excellent, especially the shrimp and anchovies appetizers plus the Salmon specials. All the food was flavorful, fresh and perfectly prepared. We were lucky and walked in without a reservation early on a Saturday, but recommended making one for such an intimate and special place in the middle of old Town.

Excellent restaurant, in a lovely courtyard in Carmona, for a romatic dinner under a citrus tree. Intimite setting and a very pleasant meal.

That potato egg super thin jamon truffle and foie ... could be the greatest dish is Spain. Seriously how did you make it sooooo god damn electric

I ate here over a month ago, and am still thinking about it! My company was holding team meetings in Carmona and we wanted a nice dinner out. Even though there were 11 of us, the staff were able to quickly accommodate our group. The food and wine was delicious - everything that we tried was perfectly prepared! And the space is so beautiful. Highly recommend.

The hours are currently very limited, so double-check before planning to go -- I was thwarted both Tues and Weds night because Google said they were open and they weren't. But, I finally caught them open on my last night in town, and am glad I did. I tried the ajoblanco (cold soup) calamari toast, and grilled foie, all of which were excellent. Finished up with a glass of Matusalem oloroso sherry that they recommended. Probably really 4 stars, but given it's one of the few fine dining options in the area, definitely worth a meal if you're around when they're open.
