Restaurante Los Caballeros

A much needed break and amazing meal on the Camino journey, right next to the albergue. The service is amazing and the food is really good, especially love the steak, it is what I call a real beef steak rather than the many beef slices throughout Spain. The wine list is really good and affordable as well! Great atmosphere and decor as well.

The most wonderful food. The best staff. We had prawn carpaccio for the first time in my life and it was phenomenal. Then we had cod and lamb, both exquisitely prepared. The dessert was even better. A fine combination of fruits, cake and custard. Very accommodating staff. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting rioja.

The atmosphere and the food are wonderful. The individuals working there are fantastic and good-spirited. But as amazing as all those things are, their flan is the best I have ever had in my travels throughout Spain and almost all of Spanish America. There's nothing like it, and when I go, I throw caution to the wind and order a minimum of three orders of flan, much to the embarrassment of anyone eating there with me. But who cares, their flan is stupendous. I might eat five of them next time.

Quality food. White linen. Very good service. Done well. We were 4 ppl $220 Euro with wine and dessert wines after dinner. Nice night out.

The restaurant dares to charge 18Euros for a white bean soup with squid (but no squid is to be seen and no squid favor is to be detected). This was quite a surprise to find fine dining in this lovely town.food was wonderful. Staff was delightful

The whole dinner was unpleasant from the very first moment when we ordered water and were told we had to buy a 4 euro half liter bottle, because they were unsure if the quality of the tap water was good. Really??? So what water are you cooking my food with?? Annoying. Cod was undercooked which is a negative surprise for a place where cod is supposed to be the main thing. Vegetables felt soggy. Very disappointing experience. Will not come back. Try nearby La Cancela instead! Desagradable toda la cena desde el primer momento en el que les pedimos dos vasos de agua del grifo y nos dicen que ellos solo beben en botella por seguridad. Lamentable que en un sitio tan Caro no te pongan un vaso de agua sin cobrarte 4 euros por una botella de medio litro. No volveremos

This is one of my favorite restaurants ever. The food is fabulous, prepared simply but flavorfully. The wait staff couldn't be friendlier. My brother and I agreed that they served the best cod we've ever tasted. I would recommend ordering it "a la plancha" (meaning "grilled" in English). It just melts in your mouth. This food certainly compares to the best I've had in Catalunya and Pais Vasco (Basque County). I can't give this place any higher a recommendation. Eat here as soon as possible!

Excellent food and service. I don't even like cod, but the bacalao escalfado (a la rioja) had an amazingly smooth texture perfectly balanced between firm and delicate. Best cod I've had. Gazpacho was very flavorful too. Friendly accommodating staff. Highly recommend. One of the best meals I've had in Spain.

This restaurant was excellent. Very inventive dishes and super-nice staff. For a starter, I had the Rioja style soup and my husband had the anchovies. Both were very flavorful and well prepared. We shared a salad and the Haro wine that was recommended went well with both my scallops and his lamb. We are going back tomorrow for another meal. Definitely give it a try if you're in the area and want high quality food!

Fantastic food. The lamb was absolutely fantastic. The Rioja cod superb. This place is really nice. A little expensive, but the atmosphere and service was first rate. If you want to splurge, this is the place to do it. Highly recommend.
