Torrey Peters’s Grub Street Diet

"A cute, sand-floored seafood restaurant in the Los Cocos sector that can be affected by nearby sewer overflows but, on good days, delivers strong seafood dishes: mariscos al ajo (conch, shrimp, mussels, and calamari in garlic butter) is described as delicious, while others order a creamy cazuela or a bandeja de mariscos." - Rima Parikh, Maanvi Kapur

Good alternative for sea food. Place is crowded so you want to get here early. Services was absolutely great. The food was good but on the high price compared to other places around town. If you are looking for sea food variety, this is a good place.

Several people recommended this place and we tried it for the first time today. It was really good. The place is cozy, even though there is no AC inside, it does not feel hot at all, it has great ventilation. We had the fried green platains with ahogado (onions and tomatoes.. so yummy) as an appetizer and they were very good. The lemonade with spearmint was really good ... like really good and refreshing. We also had the coconut lemonade which was also good. We placed our food order and boy did it take long!!!! We waited a bit longer than normal for our food.. when it finally arrived, we truly enjoyed it. Prices are not bad, portions are perfect portions. Flavor was great. Our waiter was very caring. We would definitely come back !!!

7 staff walking in the floor, 4 tables to be serviced, waited for every aspect of our lunch which turned into dinner. Each time had to call a server to get a menu, to order, drinks, and waiting for 10 min to get a bottle of water, canceled (yet it was still on the bill). I don't want to be that American, but I have traveled to 47 counties, rated hundreds of places. 90% of the dishes are just overly fried, the others are just mix of seafood stuff. I had a shrimp dish and they tasted as they were right out of the freezer, not fresh at all. While I can't recommend a place close by, I wouldn't waste your time going here.

Great location! I dined late on a Sunday evening, so service was slow, but otherwise good experience meters from the beach. Food was great, but mixed drinks could use some help; perhaps an experienced bartender.

Great place with not a lot of tourists. Waiting line was about 15 minutes around 13.00pm. The menu scanned showed they offered vegan dishes but when ordering them, they weren't available. So I ordered a simple salad, arroz con coco and platains. The waiting time for our food was indeed super long, as other reviews showed. The salad was served with a dressing that definitely wasn't vegan and the platains came with a cheesy white sauce. My friend had fried rice with salmon and seafood. Seafood wasn't great, salmon was very overcooked (but apparently that's costumary in Colombia 😂) rice was lukewarm but very nice! Overall really not worth the wait and will not visit again

Friendly and fast service. Octopus was very tender and juicy, fish filet was a bit dry and overcooked. Ceviche was spot on. Recommended for authentic experience. Would definitely go back again.

Authentic Colombian Costeña food hall, I was the only gringo there on a packed Sunday afternoon. I got a coconut lemonade and the Cazuela de Pulpo. Delicious, good service (remember, this isn't the US, you have to get their attention) and not too expensive.
