Murakami

"This spectacular designer space features a long bar table that is divided into three sections facing the kitchen—where the spirited chef can be seen hard at work. The single tasting menu changes daily, and since there are only two seatings per night, reservations are essential. Expect contemporary Japanese cuisine with a focus on light, eye-catching dishes (especially fish and rice) where quality and simplicity shine through." - Michelin Inspector

What a fantastic experience. Once you step off the busy São Paulo street you enter an oasis of calmness and tranquility. The interior decoration is modern minimalism a real sign that they let the food do the talking. The quality of the sushi is very high and the flavors are exceptional. Would highly recommend to any sushi lovers out there.

Simply amazing. Perfect balance between Brazilian and international fishes (and dishes). Murakami is at a global level regarding Japanese cuisine. Kudos to the chef and staff.

Everything at Murakami was top notch. I loved the seating arrangement with being able to view the chefs preparing the food. The staff was so friendly and professional. They made it such a pleasant and enjoyable dinner for me. The sake recommendation hit the spot and the whiskey was so smooth tasting. The food had a lot of flavor and you could taste how fresh it was. I loved the creativity of the tasting menu and the presentation of the food. Murakami is a must in Sao Paulo for any foodies:)

An incredible culinary experience! The food was divine, with perfect flavors and textures. The service was impeccable and the decor was discreet and comfortable. The dessert was fantastic! I highly recommend, 10 out of 10. A great option for dinner or lunch. Kudos to the Murakami team!

Tsuyoshi Murakami is a genius in the kitchen! He creates a wonderful ambiance from the moment you walk into his restaurant. My husband and I had the tasting menu and wow! So clean and fresh and the team was able to create the same flavors for my husbands menu which was vegetarian. 10/10 recommend trying and staying for a drink!

Everything we got was amazing! Excellent miso soup, flavorful glass of sake and the most aromatic salmon carpacio. We went for lunch there, calm and minimal atmosphere, English speaking polite service. I will visit again!

Price: R$2800 for two people (dinner + Sake) Overall: great experience, would 100% return. This is a well deserved Michelin restaurant! The food is amazing! There are unique dishes and less complex ones (for all tastes). Personally, I think the difference of price from Jun Sakamoto it’s not completely justified. However, since there were 3 bluefin dishes in the day we went… I can see why people could disagree.

Dining for two, our tab was R$3745. The food was fantastic, but the service and atmosphere were kind of subpar for a michellin star. We arrived with reservations, and we're seated at a dirty table while we waited our turn. No one came to ask if we wanted something to drink. We were the last to be seated from the omasake group, after another couple complained and was moved to a bettwr spot. The owner was great, but we were seated below a leaking unit. When we asked for the staff to clean the water droplets from our place setting, he said it wasn't his job. For a michelin star restaurant, the service left little to be desired. Again, did I mention it was R$3754 for 2 people?
