Traditional basque food but at a pretty high price for the area. Service is very lackluster, ambiance is okay. Dishes were generally quite great and I enjoyed them. Unique and flavorful across the board, but for the price I found the service to be poor and wait staff a bit rude, and ambiance could be a bit better. Reservation needed on weekends.

The food, the staff and the place are great! I've tasted the best Steak tartar ever! My girlfriend loved the mushrooms and cheese cake, and still remember their taste after a week :) We were lucky to get a last minute free table, and we don't regret coming to that charming place. We'll come back for sure. Agur!

Admittedly nervous due to reading someone else's negative reviews before going. I found only positive things to say after a wonderful meal. Mushrooms(Boletus edulis) and Steak(t-bone) were fantastic! Steak has optional hot stone for searing if too rare. Service was quite attentive and good. We had the earliest reservations @8pm on a Monday. Restaurant was full before receiving last course. Menu did not list wine by the glass, but they obliged when I asked.

I recently had the pleasure of great lunch time that exceeded all expectations, providing us a truly memorable experience. When we had to change our party size almost double last minute, the staff was incredibly accommodating, making us feel right at home with their welcoming attitude. They went the extra mile to help us pull off a surprise birthday celebration, bringing out a cake with dazzling sparklers and creating a truly festive atmosphere. Every dish we tried, from the tender octopus, the tuna cheek to the mouthwatering steak, was absolutely amazing and impressed everyone at the table. This unforgettable dining experience became the highlight of our trip to Bilbao, and we all left with wonderful memories. I can't recommend this restaurant enough for its outstanding service and delicious cuisine.

Loved the place for the impeccable service and relaxing atmosphere. This restaurant is both cozy and elegant inside, perfect for a dinner date or a calm family gathering. Menu has a variety of categories(like fish, meat, etc), but not so many options in each of the categories, what, in my opinion, is a good thing. I think it would be great to add a vegetarian category too as I believe this restaurant has all of the potential to create awesome plant based main courses. I had a salad with fish and it came out to be very filling, because of the amount of fish and vegetables in it. The only thing that could be improved is a boiled egg on top, It made the dish look too simple, so swapping it for a poached egg for example would elevate the whole look of it as well as the taste, because the fish itself is quite dry. Other than that loved their dessert options, it has quite a few, and it tasted absolutely delicious. Also, the presentations were unique for each dish and pleasurable to look at. Overall, I think the restaurant can be quite pricey, especially for the tourists who are on a budget, and the quality/price ratio could be improved. Still, it was a great experience and the place is worth a visit.

Had a fantastic dinner at El Nido! The chuletón was absolutely amazing, cooked to perfection, and the dessert was delightful too. The service was incredibly attentive, making us feel welcome and well taken care of. The atmosphere added a great touch, creating a warm and inviting environment. Highly recommend for a memorable dining experience!

At first, the interior seems quite eclectic and kitsch, but with the amazing food and wine it grows on you quickly. Waiter seemed like his shift ended way better than it started, but the owner who greeted us and served us during our almost 4hr lunch was the most wonderfully accomodating, and very kind. She recommended a wine that was an incredible surprise. The food is absolutely exceptional, one of the best carpaccios and burratas I've ever had, and ive had plenty of those. The chuleton for 4 of course, was perfect. Left very happily inebriated and satisfied! 👌
