Restaurante O Forno

Had to come here specifically for the salmon I kept seeing mentioned and I was so happy we did! We came here for dinner unfortunately no seating outside was available but they do have a lovely indoor area as well that was fine for us. Food did take a little while but we were there a peak dinner time so it was expected and worth the wait. We ordered poncha a salad the salmon, coleslaw and enjoyed everything. Staff was very friendly and I would definitely recommend to anyone to check out. A must visit!

We had a fantastic lunch here at O Forno. The beef Espetata is do die for as was the Caesar Salad. Fish n chips were very tasty too. The staff is absolutely welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere in general is great. We will definitely come back next time we are in Madeira. Thanks for this amazing experience!

Grill restaurant w nice vibes. We got the skewers and whole grilled fish 🐟 Portions are huge, could definitely be split between two ppl. Side salad was nice and fire-baked potato was also tasty 🥔 The beef was a bit chewy but the pork was great. Fish was fresh with lovely smoked taste. We got early dinner excited about the house cheesecake but they were sold out 🍰 So we got the lava cake which was delicious with plenty of ice cream🍦 and the grilled pineapple 🍍 which was missing some sauce tbh and was served with frozen strawberries that were a bit tasteless so if you order dessert, opt for something else. But overall nice experience and lovely service 👌🏻

The food was so fresh & delicious and so nicely served. The restaurant was packed when we came, but we managed to get a table. Highly recommend it for dinner!

The restaurant was a nice find, we had to come here twice. The food is a mix of different cuisines, but they also have local dishes. The sweet potatoes are a must order, the beef skewer and the surf & turf are our favourite!! The coffee is also amazing, the iced version and the cappuccino. We would come back a third time but we decided to give a chance to other restaurants haha

If you're in Ponta do Pargo this is a great restaurant to try out. Has Tex Mex feel to the decor. Nice outdoor area also. Meat is cooked on an outdoor open grill. They have quite a varied menu. A lot of items you won't find on most menus on Madeira. One of those items we ordered. Stuffed jacket potato salad. Baked potato with bacon , cheese and baked beans surrounded with a mixed salad. We also had the beef picado dish. Do yourself a favor and order the small. We were splitting it and ordered a medium. It was huge. Comes in a terracotta casserole dish that about 3" high. It was full. Beef , mushrooms, french fries and covered in gravy. It was really good. Also tried the tempura mushroom appetizer. Not overly breaded which is great. Really nice. Staff is very friendly and attentive. We would definitely eat there again.

Dourada (fish) was great. This is a tourist hot spot. The waiter did not speak Portuguese (we are Portuguese), the place is also not very traditional, the food has also lost the local “Madeirense” touch but regardless it was good in general. We were expecting something more local and traditional.

The most delicious food within a 50 km radius, and definitely the best restaurant on this side of the island. Everything is grilled on-site — I had the chicken “O Forno” style and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it to everyone!
