Restaurante El Semáforo de Finisterre

Nicely decorated restaurant but dish+utensil were dirty. Ordered halibut and it stink so much and I couldn’t finish it. My friend ordered fish of the day (hake) and it was okay. Steamed vegetable comes with main dish and no taste to it. It’s in great location, so you pay for the view, not for food or service. Bar side staff were kind, but not in restaurant especially a guy who were sitting behind check in desk.

One of the most beautiful settings we have had for dinner anywhere. Food and as ok, but would have expected a little better for high end restaurant. But the atmosphere was so good it more than made up for any other shortcoming.

In such a prominent location, one would expect a restaurant that lives up to the standards of the owner, as signaled by its prices. The plate was large, the portions remarkably modest and small. Charging three euros for two rather mediocre mini party rolls is a proud gesture. Clearly, what you're paying for here is primarily the location. Unfortunately, neither is the view, as I was assigned a high table right next to the bar and service area, which simply didn't offer such a view. What was truly unpleasant and unacceptable, however, was the arrogance of the waitress (the manager?).

Waiters were attentive, fun and helpful in wine selection. Service was well timed. Food was plentiful. Desserts were so good that one in the group ordered a second!! Very much recommend and note you cannot always judge on negative reviews that have gone before.

Great coffee, lovely ambience sat on the terrace with peaceful music playing, reasonably priced for a swanky hotel.

Awful customer service..... The young waiter serving us first was very rude, I asked for 4 different white wines on their wine list, and they didn't have any, and every time they had to go away to check if they had a wine on their own list, it was treated like a task. Then when they eventually had a wine I'd requested it was brought to the table warm in a bucket of ice. I then had to settle for another bottle of wine that was cold, and then the young waiter began to mock me & my wife with fellow colleagues. The food was average at best, over priced and not fresh. The only thing's that salvaged a 1 star review was Jorge the waiter, a salad and a cheesecake. How is this a Michelin recommended restaurant

What can be better than an excellent dinner with great wines and service in an outstanding setting. Just had dinner at O Semaforo with my husband and 5 friends from NJ. The views from this location are breathtaking. We ran late for our reservation because we couldn’t stop looking out over the Atlantic. The restaurant is lovely and the windows overlooking the ocean framed the room. We had the Albariño and Mencia recommended by our gracious waiter. The were local and delicious. The navajas were fresh and delicious, the croquettes de choco were also delicious. Clams in green sauce, tape, entrecot and lubina were also delicious. The Abuela’s cake is cookie and chocolate a hit. I from Galicia and I brought my friends here for. An unforgettable experience. Next time I’ll stay at the hotel too!!
