Restaurante Oliva

Outstanding meal (tasting menu and wine pairing). Every dish had our mouths watering. The timing between courses was perfect, the staff were very professional and service was on point. Better than some Michelin Star restaurants we have been to and great value for the quality of the experience. Cannot wait to return in September for our Wedding meal! If you want a special meal or celebration then this is your place.

The food is great, the portions are set so you can eat multiple courses without feeling stuffed, so just a main course might not be enough. The food is beautifuly presented and tastes just as good, I would definitely recommend the Fillet steak. The service was professional and organized, and without unwanted interruptions. Nothing to complain about here. The atmosphere is nice, you sit right next to a big open area with other stores around. Lots of space between the tables, so you don't feel like you're sitting up against someone.

We were very impressed with the creativity, even on small things like the butter served with bread that looked like a plant. Details like these show there’s some real passion in the kitchen!

We had the tasting menu with the wine pairing - both were fantastic. Great service too. The turbot & prawn dishes were particularly tasty.

In our opinion, this is the best restaurant in Nerja. Lovely atmosphere and service + incredible food served in very aesthetically pleasing ways. You can tell the chef put a lot of thought into both the look and taste of each dish. Five stars all round!

We booked El Oliva as past experiences have been excellent but sadly this time it was extremely disappointing. The atún rojo, carpaccio and gambas starters were good but the foie miscuit was awful, similar to a lump of hard lard. The lamb main course was bad and not an adequate meal. A tasteless spoonful of couscous wrapped in a cabbage leaf with a tasteless piece of chewy lamb and the amount presented was not an adequate meal and overpriced. The pluma ibérica was also a very small portion. The Ribera del Duero was €6.50 a glass! The service was impeccable as usual but the food and wine is overpriced. The foie and lamb mains were not charged which was appreciated.
