Given Osso’s many awards and its Michelin-recommended reputation, we walked in with high expectations. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite live up to the hype.
We ordered the dry-aged steak, which turned out average at best — reasonably juicy and somewhat flavorful, but also a bit tough and far from memorable. The sides we sampled were fine, but not remarkable; the fries, in particular, felt ordinary and uninspired.
The appetizers were the highlight: both the ceviche and the corn croquettes showed creativity and solid execution. Still, when visiting a celebrated steakhouse, the protein should be the star — and here, it fell short.
As a devoted carnivore, I left Osso wanting more. In a city known for its world-class beef and steakhouses, this one didn’t deliver. We won’t be returning.
