Where to begin? The restaurant is so stunning. From the natural light to the tableware, everything has been thought of, and it is beautiful. Then the service, it is incredible. Everyone is really working at the top of their game. Finally (and it should never be, it is just how this review came together), the food. It is unreal. The menu has been put together with so much thought and consideration - it is incredible. It is a must do when in Madrid.

Second time here — and it’s officially my favorite spot in Madrid. Outstanding food, a curated wine list, and the perfect blend of industrial-chic decor, music, and lighting. You can feel the love and taste behind every detail. Pure class.

Ovillo Madrid restaurante is a truly unique and special dining experience. The restaurant is located in a former leather goods factory, and the owners have kept the original industrial-chic style of the building. The service at Ovillo is also excellent. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they are always happy to help you choose the perfect dishes and wines. I also appreciate that the restaurant is committed to social responsibility. Ovillo is part of the Fundación Raíces "Cooking with a Conscience" project, which aims to involve vulnerable young people in working and social environments. Overall, Ovillo Madrid restaurante is a must-visit for anyone looking for a unique and memorable dining experience. The food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch, and I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Madrid. We visited Restaurante Ovillo in October 2022 with my wife, mother and newborn. The experience amazed me since I entered the old leather goods workshop. The refurbished internal patio is simply amazing, and much better with an amazing background jazz playlist! At the end of the patio you will find very well-kept kitchen, modern and of great quality (no smell at all). Staff is great, very helpful and in the right time and place, considering that long menus are complex to serve, explain and pace… Regarding food, we enjoyed 2 Ovillo menus and my mother had some very well cooked meat. The menus are a surprise but you will always get: an amazing scallop, the best mushrooms you will ever have, Wellington beef, and the most creamy cheesecake ever! (Save some room for this!)

Excellent lunch at this converted factory space with lots of light. Good service and original food. Take the tasting menu, high quality raw materials. It should improve with time (only open 7 weeks ago)

Had the tasting menu with three aperitivo dishes and six main dishes. The food is absolutely great and still reasonably priced for the complexity you see in the dishes. I enjoyed the combination of shellfish/fish combined with earthy flavors. Definitely worth a visit!

The food was outstanding, the service was stellar, the decoration is warm and cozy. The knives were rubbish (quite dull) however, their saving grace was that the meat was so tender they could even cut it.
