We had a great lunch at Pica-Pau. Food was delicious and the environment was comforting. Iara was professional, attentive, and gave good recommendations to the food and wine. Thanks for making our day.

Everything is soooo good! Especially pork Presa and loin skewer madeira island style. We orderws another Pork presa for desert(not kidding). Is so soft. We will come back for sure. Best restaurant in Lisbon for sure

Pica Pau in Lisbon is an absolute standout and an easy 10/10. The chef’s recommendation—the duck rice—was phenomenal: rich, deeply flavorful, and perfectly balanced with tender shredded duck, chorizo, and smoked bacon. Every bite felt indulgent without being heavy. The experience was elevated even further by the incredibly friendly staff; my waitress was knowledgeable and had a nice smile, and her wine recommendation paired beautifully with the dish. Warm hospitality, excellent food, and thoughtful service make Pica Pau a must-visit when in Lisbon.

Excellent Portuguese restaurant with incredible service. Everything tasted very good, the service was attentive. My only regret is that there didn’t seem to be any Portuguese people there, probably because it’s a bit pricey, but that gave a slightly inauthentic vibe to the place.

We went for lunch and shared a skewer that cost €40. The meat quality was good, but the portion was unfortunately only enough for one person, not two. Service was the biggest disappointment. Our waiter initially said she could change the wine if I didn’t like it, but later when I asked to switch it, she became irritated and said I was “making her life difficult.” After that, she essentially abandoned our table: dirty dishes piled up while the restaurant was nearly empty, and nobody came to clear them or offer a dessert menu. I eventually had to look for it myself, and only later a hostess brought one — by then we didn’t want to stay and just left. Overall, good meat but disappointing portion size and service. We wouldn’t return.

We got to the restaurant 2 hours before closing but unfortunately the kitchen was already closed. However we were able to order the snacks from the Menu such as bread, olives and other things. The prices are fair and the restaurant itself has a cozy atmosphere and interior. The staff was also nice

Nice energy and vibe at dinner. There was bit of a lineup when we finished. Decided to order 3 small plates - roasted chorizo salt cod cakes and suckling pig filled pastry. Main was grouper and shrimp rice. Dessert was sponge cake with custard. Service was helpful and friendly. Food was excellent except for the chorizo which was too salty for my taste and may have been over cooked as it was dry and chewy - not what I was expecting. The rest were excellent. Would come back for sure.

This restaurant provided a truly outstanding dining experience. Since it was recommended by a relative who ravels extensively and spends LOTS of time researching and trying restaurants, our expectations were high. Even so, it exceeded our expectations. the service was . So we went there with high expectations - and still, this place exceeded all expectations. The service was exceptional - not robotic or distant, but demonstrative of the teamwork it takes to deliver this kind of experience. The menu was varied and the food was fabulous. A minute or two at the table already gets you delicious home made bread, a custom butter, olives and other appetizers, and a drink order. Our food was produced pretty fast. Anything on the menu is worth devouring, but I especially enjoyed "duck rice" (a blend of deliciously seasoned rice with mixed portions of duck and sausage and toped with parsley), and the octopus entre, which adds whole baked potatoes to tender pulpo. Vegetarian options were also available. The drinks list is extensive, though I was content with a special brewed iced tea infused with orange and mint. Fabulous desserts can follow the meal or can be had at the dessert bar on the way in. In sum, words cannot do it justice. It is highly recommended.
