Newly arrived to Madrid and still getting used to the local ways. This was my first experience at fine dining here. Very different taste profile from the understated nordic style in my home town, very Spanish, with much bolder tastes, difficult yet to appreciate which parts are traditional and which innovative. I had the short tasting menu and the very first dish 'gilda' has such a strong taste combination that I felt a bit shellshocked. The main dishes felt very rich, might enjoy them even more in the winter season. The pace of service could be a little slower to allow for better appreciation. I had the starter and first three dishes in 15 minutes, had another 15 minutes to myself, and then the rest of the food arrived in the next 15 minutes. Would also be good to update website with correct prices, the food was priced 10% more than advertised.

I chose the standard menu with beverages included, and even though the menu was in Spanish only, every bite was absolutely amazing. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the tartar was to die for—one of the best I’ve ever had! The experience was made even better by Kike, the sommelier, who was incredibly friendly and took the time to explain everything in detail. His wine pairings complemented the meal perfectly. If you’re looking for a top-notch culinary experience in a warm and welcoming setting, Poncio by Willy Moya is a must-visit!

Stunning meal and a wonderful recommendations and service. The tomato was so light, fruitful - a heavenly joy of a dish and the such a subtle delicacy. True talent from a wonderful kitchen Duck and Beef ribs were also on another level with a wonderful depth of flavour and the incredible subtlety

My wife and I made a reservation in advance for our last evening in Madrid. Since we arrived a little early, the chef came out to us and offered us a drink while we sat outside. The waiter was professional, smiling and very sympathetic and asked us if we were very hungry. When we said no, he offered us the short tasting menu (6 dishes) and this gesture in itself was very nice. And most importantly, the food was flawless, delicious and creative and each dish was better than the last. In addition to the menu, we got an anappetizer of two small glasses of wonderful gazpacho with pate on the side, and homemade bread.The organic dry white wine, Verdejo de Menade was also great. And so was the dessert in the style of the French thousand leaves with a wonderful cream between them and a scoop of coffee ice cream See you at the next Michelin star, well done!

We can not say enough wonderful things about our dining experience here. From the attentive service from our waiter Juan to the skillful and innovatively prepared tapas and dishes by chef/owner Willy Moya it was a culinary evening we won’t forget. We look forward to returning as soon as we can.

Great food! 100% recommended! Out favorite dishes were the Bbq ribs (melts in your mouth and it serves 3 people) and the Gildas (very traditional with just the right amount of innovation). Definitely coming back

The restaurant is on the ground floor of a tall building in a quieter neighborhood in Madrid with a tiny park in front and a very laid back vibe. We arrived before service was open and was seated as soon as they were ready but it didn't take long before the place filled up. Our server was super attentive and helpful even though they were pretty busy and gave us a ton of help with the menu and also told us about a couple of off the menu specials so be sure to ask for those! We got a bottle of wine based on his recommendation which we really enjoyed and also got a little intro to pouring etiquette in Spain which we really appreciated! The amuse bouche were great and we wanted to try everything on the menu. Some of the highlights included the tomato with fermented honey, the crispy skin pork belly, the leek, the baby squid and the beef rib with tortilla. The chef even came out to say hello to check on us as we were leaving and took a picture with us. Just a wonderful experience overall and another great example of Spanish food and hospitality!

Restaurante Poncio by Willy Moya serves some of the best food I’ve had in Madrid—the ribs are to die for, and every dish was amazing. Food: Ribs: fall-off-the-bone tender with a deeper, savory glaze. Other dishes: uniformly excellent; fresh ingredients, thoughtful seasoning, and impressive technique throughout. Service/Ambience: Not very busy when I visited, and the place stayed cool and comfortable even on a 40°C night. Value: Prices sit at the higher end for Madrid, but the quality and consistency make it worth it for a special night. Verdict: Recommend for standout execution and consistently delicious flavors
