Tried a few appetizers and a couple of mains. The food is good but nothing that stands out. The fish with seaweed rice and the shredded cod fish were both cooked well but lacked flavour. The croquettes of fish were again nothing special. The ox tail meat croquettes were delicious. The cured ham was well cured ham. The service was attentive but not particularly warm or friendly. The ambience was beautiful with a central skylight filtering the evening light into the dining hall. Overall a decent option but not special.

The service was very attentive and the cuisine was delicious! I love duck and have had it many times at fine restaurants all over the world. Last night's duck dish, the special dish this month, was the best I've ever tasted. It was the perfect combination of flavors!

My husband & I had dinner at Real by Casa da Calcada this evening & thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We had an octopus and a 3 cheese starter. The octopus was done to perfection & the cheeses were amazing - 2 fuller flavored & 1 milder. I had the bacalhau & my husband had the monkfish - both interesting & perfectly prepared. Dessert was a shared leite-creme. We loved that the menu & wines were all Portuguese influenced. We will have memories about this meal & the evening. Highly recommended!

A beautiful restaurant located in the heart of Porto. The menu had a variety of delicious options to choose from and an extensive drinks menu. Our waiter Daniel was exceptional and took care explaining the food and drinks origin in great detail. He was also extremely knowledgeable about the city and the history of Port. Easily the best waiter I've ever had at a restaurant and a credit to Restaurante real. Every course was a treat! I'd highly recommend this absolute gem of a restaurant!

Absolutely delightful meal and night. What stood out is the attentiveness and warmness from the service staffs, especially Daniel. He was very friendly throughout, patiently explaining everything and also recommended a good cocktail. The restaurant paid attention to my booking request and arranged a perfect seat for me. Highly recommended for anyone to come, especially for special occasions. Very nice interior and atmosphere.

A very good restaurant experience. The service is satisfactory. Staff explained the food they served. The quality and the taste of the food are really great. I would recommend octopus rice. For dessert, I enjoy chocolate cake. Inside area is huge, comfy and clean. Compared to this service level, price is reasonable.

Excellent food. Had the oxtail croquettes, followed by grilled octopus served with turnip top greens all delicious. Staff attentive. Elegant decor. You feel like you are in an upscale place which could be anywhere so lacking distinctive Oporto feel.
