Restaurante Rios O Freixo - Serra de Outes

Amazing gourmet experience! We had gambas (cannot be more fresh), arroz con bogavante (rice in paella style with lobster) and OMG! They managed to surprise us with the quality of their food. Rice was just unbelievable, properly cooked, with great sauce and most fresh lobster. We finished it in 10 mins 😅 The dessert they baked just before serving (mil hojas), it tasted like heaven. Great choice of wine, selection of more than 800 types. Very attentive service incl. somelier. Small place for 8-10 tables with modern design. We were very happy with our dinner and I cannot recommend this place more!

The “arroz de bogavante” was probably one of the best (if not the best) rices we’ve ever had. Also, the “vieiras en salsa albariño” were tremendous. Special place that we recommend for a dinner if you’re staying around the area. The staff was also friendly and very professional.

This is by far the best quality value seafood in Galicia. It's worth a special trip just for this restaurant. They have such a great variety of fresh seafood that you don't find in most places such as the santiaguino de roca. It's like tiny lobster without claws and spine. Two for €26. The oysters, ostra rizada, for €2.80 each was as good as the French Girardeau. The signature dish of centola, spider crab, €54, was absolutely delicious and prepared so differently from other places. The tender almost translucent tiny shrimps, camarones, for €35, were succulent. We didn't try the rice with gambas but definitely we will next time. It looked delicious at the next table. So many dishes and a nice bottle of Albariño from Forjas del Salnes all for €21. It would have cost a lot more in similar restaurants. Definitely worth a special trip just for this restaurant.

Superb Galician seafood in an elegant place fully renovated now. I still recommend the upper floor and ask for a table close to the windows with views to the sea. Rices and big fishes are its speciality but everything offered will be always best quality. Great wine list with affordable pricing and good service for a great overall experience.

We opted for this restaurant as we were looking for a romantic dinner merged with the culinary culture of Galicia. We couldn’t be more satisfied with our choice. The restaurant design and location, food and wine options as well as customer service is outstanding. Although we want to thank the whole team for the great job executed, we would like to personally thank Angel. Angel kindly guided us through the menu with an incredible and deep passion for Galician culinary and historical traditions. Thank you Rios O Freixo, thank you Angel.

Sat upstairs with both seats looking out to sea as the sun went down. Romantic. Tomato salad was literally the best ever with crumbles of goats chease with the home grown toms. Almejas the plumpest ive ever had. Nice twists with every course elevating already great galician produce. Oaked godello recommendation was excellent. Service excellent. Make a detour

Fantastic restaurant, nice design and of high standard. Lobster was delicious and we would highly recommend the cheesecake - it was incredible!
