Overall, I would give the dining experience an A-. We were very warmly greeted by a gentleman at the front door, who quickly sat us, even though we were early for our reservation. Unfortunately, that’s where the warmth ended. After sitting at our table for about five minutes, a waiter came to the table and bluntly asked, “what do you want to order?”There was no conversation. No discussion about recommendations on the menu, no greeting, and no smile from the waiter. Overall very cold and lackluster. We placed our order and our plates started coming out in a timely fashion however, they were just sat on the table without any explanation, nor did the waiter return at all during any course of our meal to ask how things were tasting or if we needed anything. To speak for the food, the pork chicharonnes were good however not mind blowing. I would describe them more as a mini pork egg roll. The selection of ceviches was phenomenal. Each one had a different and unique taste, and the fish was incredibly fresh. Our entrées consisted of the bluefin tuna, which was out of this world, and the seafood rice, which was also delicious as well, but a little smoky in flavor for my liking. My husband, however, did like it, and the seafood portion was generous. All in all, if a dining experience was based solely off of food, this restaurant would be amazing. However service can really make or break a dining experience and in this case, the service definitely overshadowed some aspects of the food.
