"A restaurant with a strong focus on flavour and the true soul of Peruvian cooking under the baton of chef Irene Gutiérrez. In the indigenous Quechua language of Peru, “sumaq” translates as “delicious, sumptuous or beautiful”, an apt description for the recipes on the extensive à la carte (which includes a section specifically devoted to ceviches) plus a tasting menu that offers a true culinary flight of fancy. The cod here, Sumaq’s signature dish, is well worth trying." - Michelin Inspector

Outstanding food - Peruvian dishes full of flavour and beautifully put together, from fresh ceviches to rich plates. The tasting menu is especially good if you want to try a bit of everything. The atmosphere is relaxed but stylish, and the service is just right - friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to guide you through the menu without being pushy. It feels special but not pretentious, and the quality you get for the price is excellent. Definitely a place I’d go back to on my next trip to Palma.

We had a wonderful dinner at Sumaq! Tried many good dishes – the stuffed potatoes, shrimp, tuna steak, and the beef were all excellent. We paired everything with a lovely Mallorcan wine, which was a great choice. The setting is cozy and romantic, perfect for a nice evening out. The staff could be a little quicker and more smiley, but the manager who looked after us was fantastic and made the experience really special. For dessert, we had a rich chocolate cake (can’t remember the name, but it was delicious!). Definitely a must-visit in Palma if you enjoy great food and wine.

Our party of 4 had dinner on a Saturday night around 2230. Fortunately, there was no wait and we were able to be seated immediately even though we didn’t have a reservation. The staff and our waiter were attentive and friendly. Our drinks came out relatively quick and were very tasty. As far food, we shared the Langostinos Crujientes, ceviche clásico, and a tres leches for dessert. The shrimp was cooked to perfection and was deliciously crunchy. The tuna and sea bass in the ceviche were also delicious and the plate had a good balance of lime, onion, and seasoning. Only downside to the food was the portion size, but definitely worth it.

Google
Michelin recommended restaurant in very busy area of Palma. I really liked their take on lomo saltado. My wife tried cod and she did not like. The atmosphere was fantastic- the restaurant is beautiful inside and they also have live piano music playing while you are eating. Their ceviche is fantastic, but on spicy side. Overall it is great spot for a date.

A very nice and friendly restaurant. Excellent selection of appetizers and drinks. Friendly service. As more and more guests arrived, the wait for the meals became longer. We waited a very long time for dessert. Parking is a huge problem, especially on weekends; there's absolutely nowhere to park. It's better to walk or take a taxi.

One of my top five meals of all time. Not only is the chef inspired and technically excellent, the whole experience was calm, yet elegant. The specialty drink was AMAZING!!

Yelp
Hands down the best meal we had in Spain (after visiting Valencia, Barcelona & Ibiza) from start to finish. Also the restaurant with the most impeccable service! We had the; - Potato stuffed with sirloin stew -- these were fire! Crispy on the outside, hot potato-y goodness inside and an ample amount of meat in the center. Absolutely one of the best bites of food we had in Spain. I love that they didn't skimp on the meat! - Trio of ceviches -: My husband doesn't really like ceviche or sushi but he devoured his portion of these ceviches. Each one had it's own bold flavor and great texture from either corn, or onions. The fish was fresh and the portion size was perfect - The cod -- my cod was buttery soft, the sweet potato puree was a nice contrast to the lime foam. I wish there was a crunchy element on the plate but the flavors were all fantastic. - Australian lamb with quinoa -- it was good, the lamb was cooked nicely. The quinoa was okay, not remarkable. - Lime pie for dessert -- we loved this dessert! It was sweet and tart the way lime pie should be. The cream foam on top was light and helped balance the sweet pie and the pop rocks on top were just a fun addition and added a nice sensation in my mouth. Highly recommend and no wonder this place is Michellen starred!

Yelp
Sumaq was one of the biggest highlights of my trip to Mallorca. My favorite dishes were the ceviche, duck confit and the scallops. We tried all three ceviches and they were all hits each had there own distinct flavors and Id recommend trying them all. The scallops were buttery and delicious. Beware I didn't see a single vegetarian option, so be prepared for a fish and meat centric meal.

Yelp
Wow, just wow for this place. We booked dinner here, got there a little early and they were super accommodating. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The food has a Peruvian vibe and it is TASTY. I have never tried ceviche, but I did here and I was blown away by the flavor. I had tuna for dinner (photo) and it was very flavorful on its own but the accompanying sauces enhanced it. We tried the dessert platter and, apologies, I can't remember what they were, but it didn't disappoint. Highly recommend this place. Wonderful ambiance, food, and staff.

Yelp
My BF and I arrived a little before their opening time, but they were happy to seat us. Food was 4 star (still great, but didnt 'wow' me), friendly staff was 5 star. If you want a bit of change from the local food, this is a great place to go.

Yelp
Exceptional fusion Peruvian food comparable to/better than New York's finest restaurants and chefs. Interestingly, this is not the restaurant recommended by local concierges who place a premium on views. However, this is a foodie's paradise! Every dish was bursting with flavor and that is probably an understatement. I wish I could have sampled the entire menu! Nuno the waiter was exceptional too. Exotic ceviche: fresh fish in an amazing concoction of spices and fruit juices Crispy Shrimp: great combination of avocado, yuzu and the crispiness of the kataifi wrapped shrimp Australian lamb with truffle honey and quinoa: delicious sauce to accompany the lamb cooked the way you like it Shrimp and Fettucine: perfectly cooked pasta with an intoxicating lime-honey and pepper sauce to boot Tuna: perfectly cooked tuna (to your taste) with a tasty black rice Suspiro: heavenly unique dessert (top 3 of all desserts I have tasted), the brandy foam could have stood on its own

Yelp
Delicious food, good atmosphere. The restaurant is a bit small, so call in advance to make a reservation. I had the 'causa with octopus' and the 'aji de gallina': spectacular. I'm coming back on my next trip to the island for sure :)

Yelp
A little bit overpriced but the food is great. Good choice if your looking for a Peruvian restaurant with a modern twist.
