We were on the hunt for some restaurant, any restaurant besides the Le Pain Quotidien nearby. And then we happened upon this little gem on a side street with a small storefront. Upon walking in, it was VERY nice, upscale and they took our crew, wearing jeans and t-shirts, along with a messy toddler.
We thought, Mexican food in Spain? C'mon. Could it be that good? Um, yes. It was that good.
Service was a tiny bit slow, BUT we were the first ones in there for the day. Drinks - excellent - very trendy - mixologist type of vibe for making them.
The tacos? There were like 5 per order - frankly, I was expecting only three so that was a nice surprise. I had the queso tacos where the shells were made out of cheese, with beef, and THEY WERE SO FRIGGIN good. The crunch and saltiness were a perfect pair for my Paloma alcoholic beverage. My family enjoyed their meals too. Oh man, and I didn't mention the soups - we all enjoyed ours. Mine was the pozole which wasn't as good as my friend's homemade pozole, but it still was great and came with all the right fixins' for me to add.
