"A third-generation, family-run restaurant that has always shone a light on the gastronomic traditions of Almería, a fact highlighted and recognised by a statue of its founder Antonio Carmona Gallardo, on one side of the street. Occupying the hotel of the same name, it features a pleasant bar with a food display counter, a regionally inspired dining room, plus an attractive terrace. The extensive, traditionally focused à la carte features dishes from the region, grilled meats, fresh fish and seafood, daily specials, along with an appetising set menu. Comfortable room and friendly and quick reception. Unfortunately the restaurant was shut on the Sunday I came for a private event which was very disappointing after an expectation of a delicious meal. I had a decent pizza elsewhere instead but had to hunt for it as Vera is quiet on a Sunday night.

Have eaten here a number of times and always enjoyed it immensely. This time we stayed at the hotel for two nights because we were in the process of buying an apartment nearby and all the paperwork was being done in Vera. The hotel is spacious and well laid out. It is a little old fashioned but in a good way. Our room was spotlessly clean with a super shower. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept very well. The internet was also excellent. Breakfast is basic - toast, etc but freshly made in the bright dining room downstairs. Everything about this hotel is well run and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Cannot recommend it enough.

Such an authentic Spanish experience! The atmosphere and decor are fabulous, the service impeccable. Spanish specialities using fresh, quality ingredients. A real dining treat, thank you for such a beautiful evening. We will return to your restaurant very soon!

Probably one of the cleanest places we have ever eaten at in Spain. The tapas were all delicious and the place is spotless and the staff are so professional. A lovely Spanish vibe. The Christmas decorations are gorgeous. A great place to eat and relax.

Never stayed here. But it’s my favourite place for breakfast, it’s not the biggest toastado, it’s not the dearest or cheapest, but it is all so perfectly well done. Lovely area on the terrace and the waiters are like lightening. If you’re ever near call in for either afternoon tapas or desayunos it’s just great. One day I’m going to eat in the restaurant.
