Veiramar Arcade

"Thanks to the completely glass-enclosed dining room, guests can enjoy delightful views of the mouth of the River Verdugo. Simply constructed dishes that are based around excellent ingredients and with a strong focus on the sea, although high-quality meat and rice dishes are also available." - Michelin Inspector

Options were few on the ground in Arcade but this one came well rated, I’m glad we stopped here. The highlight were the Galician oysters which were gentle while remaining flavoursome. We also indulged in the seafood platter which was more than enough for the three of us - the marinade on the king prawns was a stand out.

The place is simply amazing. The view is great (ask for a table with sea view) and it looks like the restaurant was recently renovated. The food is simply quality! Everything is fresh and cooked great. Be aware it is not a cheap restaurant, so if you are ok with that, please do not hesitate in going! Get any seafood honestly, you will not be disappointed!

Outstanding.. Worth a detour! Great service, lovely ambience and I think I had the best Zamburiñas ever.

Best meal so far in Spain. The house red wine was spectacular. We had the house salad and steak. They were both cooked perfectly. We highly recommend this restaurant on the Camino!

Be not fooled by google maps - they do not seat for dinner until 8:30 and when we returned at 8:30 they begrudgingly seated us even though there was not a soul in the restaurant. Maybe it is because we don’t speak Spanish but the staff was very chilly, snobby, and acted like they did NOT want us there. The food for the most part was very good (don’t order the asparagus- it is giant white spears that taste like they were canned - not the green veggie side we were hoping for). But again the service - very disappointing.

Service was quite snobby and arrogant when we ordered a tinto de verano, beer and „only“ a seafood paella for 2 persons. We had to wait half an hour until the kitchen reopened which they told us upfront, while waiting we got Serrano and bread with our drinks. That was nice. The seafood paella was quite salty but lots of mussels, unfortunately it gave us food poisoning.. on the plus side is the view over a small bay that looks beautiful while sunset.

Beautiful view while dining! We enjoyed the octopus and scallops, which were served in their shells. Both were specialties of the region and excellent in taste and texture. We complemented this with a fresh mixed salad and white Albarino wine. Very pleased!
