Si! Mon Is Slinging LA’s Best New Fried Chicken in Venice | Eater LA

"I heard Carles recall going to Restaurante Vietnamita in Panama City and being absolutely in love with the fried chicken’s dipping salt, a roasted-rice powder that stuck with him; that experience directly inspired his own rice-and-shiitake finishing-salt blend used to coat his fried chicken." - Cathy Chaplin

Great Vietnamese cuisine! Spring rolls are amazing 🤩 summer rolls not my type. Pho is great and tasty! 🤤 Will come again 😁

One of the very few Vietnamese restaurants in the country. In fact, it is the very first of its kind since 2014. Happy to say that this place had my usual favorite items such as beef pho soup, spring rolls with fish sauce, summer rolls with peanut sauce, and coffee with condensed milk. All the items I tried tasted good. The beef pho soup was served with a side of culantro and bean sprouts. The dining area is air conditioned and clean. Features both indoor and outdoor seating. Parking lot is tiny, only fits a few cars so you will have to find street parking. Service is decent. I feel obligated to say that I have experienced many amazing authentic Vietnamese restaurants in New York City. This place does not compare. But no need to worry because the taste is good enough. This restaurant will suffice as a good enough Vietnamese restaurant. It has the most reviews of all such restaurants in the city. And the rating is very high, so many people are satisfied. But if you are someone who is a devout fan of these restaurants, do not come here with high hopes. Just letting you know. Vietnamese restaurants have been in this country for less than a decade. For sure they will improve over time. I will return in the very near future to try the beef pho with sauteed meat.

This location we found through a lonely planet referral. We were very surprised. Lonely planet food locations are very good, but not this place. The good. The pho soup was actually very good. The iced coffe was excellent. The bad. The grilled chicken was the worst I ever had. It was not grilled, deep fried. The spring rolls were very oily and no taste. I had the grilled pork combination spring rolls and vermicelli noodles. This was ok. I would not come again and can not recommend this joint. Service was ok.

Good Vietnamese Pho. Slightly different compared to US version but was still very good. Fried spring roll was delicious. Excellent service.

Authentic vietnamese restaurant. They have all the original vietnamese dishes and drinks. The waiter was excellent and bi-lingual. Food was hot and fast. A definite recommendation for foodies.

A very authentic place. It is basically a house being run as a restaurant, with wooden chairs, table mantles, and bare white walls. The food is very authentic, no frills and tastes great. Service is above average and the staff is very helpful when asked about the different dishes. You should try the rice rolls (which you have to fill up and roll) and the shrimp crackers.

Their was a bug in my friends’ food. Pho wasn’t good, wasn’t too many options to choose from meat wise.
