Went here on May 7, 2025. Atmosphere was great as there were not a lot of people around. Lady at the front when I walked in was welcoming and showed the restaurant around and allowed me to choose where I wanted to sit. Each table/booth has a QR code that you scan to access the menu, although they do have physical ones (only because the waiter was trying to show that there are half order options for some of the main courses, and I was practicing my Portuguese with the waiter and I didn’t quite understand what he was exactly saying haha). Waiters were kind nonetheless Food was delicious and definitely large especially for just a solo traveler (definitely come prepared to eat a lot! Although if you have a group of people, it’s great!) Some of the main courses have a half size option which is nice. You can even request to pack leftovers if you like to take some with you. I ordered the feijoada and the frango com farofa (big pot with chicken and cobbled corn covered in some savory sauce with lots of different sides). Good taste of mineiran cuisine. Do note that the food is a little pricey but I personally think you could get your money’s worth if you come with multiple people because the food portions are big! Overall good experience. Probably a place worth trying once if you are a traveler like me!

Lovely place to enjoy great freshly prepared Minas food. I didn't like the QR way to order. it's unhelpful to a lot of people, and a normal menu with a friendly waiter is much better.

An amazing restaurant to try the local Minas Cusine. The restaurant is located a bit away from the city but the ambience is amazing. The restaurant is huge but in weekends it may get extremely full so need to reserve a table. The place is famous for meat but have very good chicken and vegetarian dishes. The taste and quality of food was amazing and they did a very good service. You pay 15-20$ per person which is super reasonable compared to the food you eat. Definitely recommend to try this place when you visit Belo Horizonte.

One of the best things I did in Brazil so far! Great local food, just like from Brazilian books! My waiter was David, he was exceptional, he recommended my meal and it was outstanding. Great atmosphere! Highly recommended !

Fantastic place to feel and experience authentic Brazillian cousine. Place has an amazing atmosphere, good prices and very kind stuff. Portions are very generous and best experiences with at least one other person.

Just amazing. Food was so fresh and traditional. The ambiance was relaxing and welcoming, waiters were nice and there was a lovely musical group playing around the restaurant. Must go for a real taste of Brazilian food.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. The stuffed pumpkin with carne seca and cheese is a must-try! I will come here anytime I'm in BH.

I was served by the best day manager at Xapuri. His name Diogo dos Santos. The lime desert was one of the best at the restaurant. Very friendly people and cozy place to have lunch with someone. I saw Edu ( cruzeiro's player) having lunch that day. Overall, very satisfy.

Yelp
Xapuri is the perfect place to enjoy a very authentic comida mineira in Belo Horizonte. It is a big place, excellent for groups, family and kids. At the same time, the service is very efficient and fast. I would recommend the "picanha", frango a molho pardo (chicken on its own blood sauce - open your mind, it is really amazing!) and frango com quiabo (chicken stew with okra). As an appetizers, the "dadinho de tapioca" (tapioca cubes) with local jam is really good!

Yelp
Amazing food! Had the "picanha" with fantastic side dishes of okra (best okra ever), kale (best kale ever) and farofa and fried bananas. Everything is delicious. The location is beatiful and looks like a Brazilian farm. Laid back and a feels nothing like the big city outside. Great place to unwind and have some great food. The desserts are incredible and deserve a review of their own.

Yelp
Very authentic mineiro food. Beautiful location great for groups. We had 3 courses in a group of 10 and it was $R80 each. Very close to a beautiful lake which is great for a walk before or after.

Yelp
For a full Minas food experience this is the best place in town. Their food food is just amazing, I love their Frango ao Molho Pardo (chicken in Brown sauce), for a starter the linguiça com cebolas (sausage with onion) is a good call. This is absolutely a place to go and spend some time with no hurry. The decoration is beautiful. Great also for kids as they have a mini farm in the back. Lovely!

Yelp
A little far from the city center, which makes it more local! Food and service were great. Very local, run by their owners. They prepare their own sausages and jams. Good to go with friends, for business, or with family. They have a playground for kids and even horseback riding classes!

Yelp
It may be a little out of the way for a tourist, but it is a MUST for anyone traveling to Belo Horizonte. Minas Gerais is known for their food, and this is Minas at its best. The food is good, and the atmosphere is rural Brazilian, rounded off with little monkeys, called micos, and horses for good measure. A pleasurable experience every time, with exceptional food. : )

Yelp
One of the best steaks I have had in my life. great ambiance and very hospitable staff. And the most fun part having all those small little monkeys roaming around. Definitely a must go if you are in belo.
