"Head up to the first floor to this retro-style restaurant, where you pass a welcoming lounge bar before moving into the main dining room adorned with an attractive fresco. The “culinary journey” offered by the chef here follows the rhythm of the seasons and showcases local traditions, enhanced by the occasional international influence. Although at lunchtime you can order à la carte, in the evening the choice is between three tasting menus (four, six or eight courses) with a wine-pairing option (labels from Slovenia and further afield) or a choice of non-alcoholic drinks. The tiny summer terrace has just a few tables (book in advance)." - Michelin Inspector

One of the best places we’ve ever been to. Finally, you could try a wine before ordering it—yes, it was a choice between two bottles (we described to the perfectly professional waiter what we’d like to drink, and he offered two options), but it was still a choice. Not to mention the tasty compliments before and after the main dishes were served. A great combination of quality, service, atmosphere, and price. If we are in Ljubljana again, we will definitely come back.

I don’t have the appropriate vocabulary to describe how wonderful this meal was. This is definitely the fanciest meal I’ve had in the last three months in Europe, and it was spectacular. Worth every cent. The staff was perfect and friendly, setting was immaculate, and the food was indescribably good. Hats off to whoever came up with the menu here. Don’t let the unassuming exterior of this building fool you into going to another restaurant. This is a historic building and the restaurant shares it with other entities. They are located on the second story of the building. I’ve included photos to guide you to wonderful food.

Amazing experience. Food was superb, very intense flavours. Service also exceptional. We had one dish that we really enjoyed and as a joke complained that it should be more because it was so good and after the main we received another plate of it free of charge. This kind of gestures quickly separate you from the rest. Wine is very reasonable priced for a restaurant of this level. Highly recommended!

Overall experience was great. Had a bit of trouble finding it though 😄. The atmosphere and staff were excellent, food was local, somewhat traditional, but with a modern twist. Good wine pairings, with also local wine. Would recommend!

We attended the New Year's Eve gala dinner, and it exceeded our expectations. The service was outstanding—exceptionally attentive, friendly, and swift. While my wife enjoyed the wine pairing, I opted for a craft beer, which took a bit longer. The waiter acknowledged this deviation from their standards, apologized, and mentioned the beer wouldn't be on the tab. This gesture epitomizes their world-class service. We indulged in a 5-course menu, which felt more like 8 (so much food!). Each course was delectable; personal preferences aside, it was a culinary delight. The wines, thoughtfully chosen from different Slovenian regions, perfectly complemented the dishes, elucidated by the waitstaff. I highly recommend opting for the wine accompaniment. Overall, a flawless evening—this restaurant is a top-notch choice for food enthusiasts willing to invest a bit more for an exceptional experience! PS: Card payments are accepted, but remember to carry cash for tipping, as it's not possible via card.

This restaurant is really great. The food is delicious, the waiters are professional and every dish has a nice story. We came for the second time in a few months and no dish was the same which we really love.

One of the few restaurants in Ljubljana that you can keep on returning to on special occasions (like today) or just because you want to spend some quality time with your friends in a lovely environment with superb food and service at the same level. We enjoyed the terrace view and dishes from the seasonal menu - my personal favourites this time: Sebesa (dentex marinated with elderflower vinegar) and turbot fillet with pork cracklings.

I think it's the best food I've ever eaten. I should leave it at that. But perhaps I should qualify. I was part of a group being hosted by hosts from this country. We had a taster menu with paired wines. None of the foods have I ever had before and I would never be able to make any of them. It's not a place to do to eat. It's a place to go and enjoy taste and smell. Staff were very nice, too. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves Edit. Apparently this review was not allowed to be posted - "may not follow our policies". I referred to the hosts by the name of people who are from this country. I've deleted it. If this review gets posted after me doing this, then Google Maps is on notice.
