There 11 of us after a few morning stops for some food before here as our last stop.
So, we reserved for fried porridge, lala beehoon, Hokkien mee and some yam/sweet potato pastes.
The yam paste not very sweet but there is something missing, it wasn't that rich. Maybe the absence of pork lard. Well, to me Penang still holds the trophy.
The fried porridge came with yau zar gwai crispy pieces with g yau zar as garnishes. Tasted great! There's the thin strips of dried sotong/octopus, it must have been fried before pouring in the porridge thus the colour of the porridge is a bit brownish.
The Hokkien mee was a let down to us as compared the better ones. The lala beehoon was fried as we thought it was soupy, everyone said it was nice with the tiny lalas.
