the ingredients are of good quality, hence the food tastes fine. we had some sushi, noodles and tempura shrimp. all were nice. nothing extraordinary though. we expected a bit more from a michelin guide listed spot so maybe a bit disappointed because of that. the staff was very nice and helpful. the ambiance is alright

One of my all time favorite japanese restaurant, we had gyoza pouches salmon mixed sashimi and shrimp burger super tasty the presentation is superb and the staff are so friendly , if you live japanese cuisine this place is a must 👌

Authentic Japanese cuisine in a cozy atmosphere with great service. If the weather is good choose the terrace…the cool music adds a nice touch….

Finally decent sushi. It's actually very hard to find those in Croatia. Amazing service. They even have somelie ( that can't find the difference between rose and red wine but ok😅) Book the table a day before, despite the location the restaurant are full in the evening. But it worth it!

On our spontaneous trip to Zagreb we were looking for a great restaurant. The choice of Izakaya was the right one. Restaurant is amazing and the food even better. Excellent sushi in creative styles. Really delicious. Desserts also very special. Fully recommended and all the honours are well deserved.

A really strong offering of asian cuisine in Zagreb, offering great variety of quirky cocktails, various appetisers, a large selection of great quality sushi and substantial main courses. Although we haven’t had one the desserts look lovely and the space, decor and atmosphere are great. The location is also convenient with a ton of parking nearby and the place has fair prices compared to the rest of the current market.

Restoran Izakaya has a welcoming ambiance and attentive service, making it a pleasant spot to dine. While the overall menu is diverse and enjoyable, the sushi falls a bit short and could definitely use some improvement in terms of freshness and flavor. Despite this, the other dishes are well-prepared and flavorful, and the atmosphere makes up for the sushi’s shortcomings. A good place to visit, but there’s room for refinement!
