This restaurant has been repeatedly awarded a Michelin star year after year — and it truly deserves it. Its reputation in Zagreb is well-earned and widely recognized. Upon arrival, we were greeted with smiles, and the atmosphere is somewhat dark and mysterious, adding to the experience. Once the food arrived, it was immediately clear that this is top-tier Japanese cuisine, with flavors that perfectly matched the impeccable presentation. My favorite dish was the pork belly bun, and I will definitely return multiple times. The only minor critique is the music, which currently plays pop from the radio rather than matching the Japanese theme — I hope this is adjusted before my next visit.

the ingredients are of good quality, hence the food tastes fine. we had some sushi, noodles and tempura shrimp. all were nice. nothing extraordinary though. we expected a bit more from a michelin guide listed spot so maybe a bit disappointed because of that. the staff was very nice and helpful. the ambiance is alright

One of my all time favorite japanese restaurant, we had gyoza pouches salmon mixed sashimi and shrimp burger super tasty the presentation is superb and the staff are so friendly , if you live japanese cuisine this place is a must 👌

Super cold on the terrace with them rationing the heaters as if they’re coming out of the server’s paycheck. Leaking roof. The chicken gyoza tasted like if I told you Tokyo was in Mexico actually(why so much coriander?). I don’t understand all of the Michelin recommendations. Such a mid restaurant. Plus all the servers are dressed in black taekwondo/karate outfits?? Idk someone just make it make sense please.

On our spontaneous trip to Zagreb we were looking for a great restaurant. The choice of Izakaya was the right one. Restaurant is amazing and the food even better. Excellent sushi in creative styles. Really delicious. Desserts also very special. Fully recommended and all the honours are well deserved.

A really strong offering of asian cuisine in Zagreb, offering great variety of quirky cocktails, various appetisers, a large selection of great quality sushi and substantial main courses. Although we haven’t had one the desserts look lovely and the space, decor and atmosphere are great. The location is also convenient with a ton of parking nearby and the place has fair prices compared to the rest of the current market.
