What a disappointment. I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant whilst in Split, as it has a Michelin Bib Gourmand - but I think it might be time for the inspectors to visit again!
The service was slow and the waiter seemed stressed. In took 35 minutes from ordering to our starters arriving (cold starters too). We then waited 45 minutes for our main course, and another 12 minutes after finishing for the waiter to notice we were done and clear our table. After waiting for almost 15 mins to see if we'd be offered a dessert menu, more drinks or perhaps coffee, we flagged down a waiter who was clearing and emptying tables (rather than paying attention to the customers still there) and asked for the bill.
The food itself was good - although they could have been more imaginative when it came to dietary requirements. The substitutes were lacking.
The vibe was interesting. They had a DJ which was good, if not a bit unexpected for a restaurant. But it meant that plenty of passers by were stopping and asking for drinks, and being turned away (or in a few cases completely ignored) by staff because it's a restaurant rather than a bar.
Overall K.uzina has the potential to be great, but the service hugely let it down.
