I’ve been working with Dr. Greg Zimmerman for a while now and have had such a positive experience. He isn’t just a great practitioner—he also has extensive knowledge of herbal medicine and a deep understanding of TCM. He takes the time to carefully listen and understand my condition before making recommendations. Most of the time, I do online herbal consultations with him, and the customized herbal formulas he creates get drop-shipped straight to me, which is incredibly convenient and makes it easy to stay consistent with my care. When he’s in town, I also receive in-person acupuncture and bodywork sessions from him, and they are always spot on. The treatments feel deeply restorative, and I always leave feeling more balanced and relaxed. The office environment itself is also worth mentioning—it’s very soothing and healing, located in a beautiful historic building. The treatment rooms are surprisingly spacious, which is rare to find in the city, and it makes the whole experience even more comfortable and grounding. Even as an acupuncturist myself, he’s the only practitioner I choose to see because I trust him more than anyone. I really appreciate the thoughtful care and flexibility he provides, whether online or in person.

Retreat Acupuncture is amazing! Rachel is an incredible acupuncturist and cares about your entire well-being. I highly recommend seeing her as my back pain really subsided. Very clean facilities and the staff make you feel so comfortable and right at home. It's a spa-type experience for acupuncture!

I've seen Karinn at Retreat Acupuncture several times, she's a wonderful practitioner. The office is serene and calm, I'm always relaxed and centered after a visit at Retreat. The front desk is efficient in booking appointments and managing insurance billing. I highly recommend Retreat!

Edith is not only an amazing acupuncturist, but also wonderful person who truly cares about your well being and health. I have never had such a gentle and effective treatment. She truly knows and is passionate about the practice!

An amazing, peaceful, and healing space. Located in a gorgeous historic building with a spacious front garden, you swiftly feel a sense of calm and good vibes. Edith is *HEAVEN-sent* -- has an ultra-soothing demeanor, is compassionate, positive, super-knowledgable and talented! Over a few sessions, she whittled down a gross (visible!) knot I had in my shoulder to nothingness, restored my range of motion, reduced my chronic pain, *and* was happy to explain what she was doing, why, and what I could do at home to help self-heal. I also had one lovely session with Karinn, who is incredibly personable and strong! My muscles felt tenderized (in a good way) after the session. Even the front office is super-welcoming and kind (Cassandra, Liliya, & James!) Really, I have nothing bad to say about this place. I wish I could go every day.

They both listen carefully and intuitively, and their gentle approach and touch has eased my needle anxiety while maximizing impact of the treatments. While I didn't think to come to Candise with concerns about extremely dry skin all over my body (that I would scratch at night while sleeping to the point of leaving marks), I happened to mention it during a session for my back. Candise recommended introducing a combination of vitamin E, zinc and evening primrose. It WORKED IMMEDIATELY! I had tried every cream and lotion in existence without success. She knew my issue was stemming from internal balance issues. She is a goddess! Don't waste a second thinking about whether or not to book an appointment: do it!

Would highly recommend this place if you are unsure of acupuncture. It was my first time and it was a great experience. It's in a lovely building with a beautiful garden out front. The staff is super friendly. Karinn was great and goes out of her way to provide a relaxing experience. Definitely worth a visit (and probably many more).

Wow - I had never done acupuncture but they are incredible. Have sent 3 people there now it was so good. Beware they say they take your insurance and than may charge you a month later without you being aware of it

Does this place exist anymore?? I've been contacting since past 3 weeks but no response.

I'm still waiting to hear back from this place after I reached out for acupuncture services for my Mom. It seems like this place is very slow and unexpedient when it comes to getting back to clients in a timely manner. I filled out the type form with my Mother's insurance information and was told by the one time an admin assistant got back to me that it ought take 3 days to get back via email to indicate whether my M was going to be accepted at their facility. So what gives? Why is it taking so damn long for you tk get back to me?!?

YIKES. RUN! Really unprofessional! EDIT: *I was not upset that I had to wait inside the "nice" hallway. I was upset that my session was going to be shortened and that I was going to be charged more money when I was not late at all, and Anna was completely unreachable after multiple attempts, and it looked as if the business was closed.* See the screenshot I attached of the email that states what happens when you do not arrive 15 minutes early to your appointment. Anna could have reached out to me directly to settle this because she has my number. She could have handled this like an adult, but instead, I'm being called nasty names by her blonde friends on here that she clearly gossiped to about me. Such a professional, right?! Here's why, so maybe next time they don't keep doing this to customers: I make my appointment in advance. I get a confirmation email the day before saying to arrive at least 15 minutes BEFORE my scheduled appointment time so I can, quote, "fill out the appropriate client form, change, and prepare for the service." Their email continues, quote, "All treatment sessions have a specific time schedule and early arrival allows for a relaxed and unhurried experience. If late arrival is inevitable, your service may be shortened in order to keep on schedule and the original treatment time may be charged." That is a direct quote from their email, and I have attached a screenshot. I arrive at least 20 minutes early before my scheduled 2:00 appointment on Saturday Oct 1 with Anna Severn of Retreat. I get inside the building fine, but once I get to their office door, total crickets. The door to their Suite 106 is completely locked, and no one was around. Totally quiet. It's almost as if the business is shut down. I call the number listed on their front door 3 times, and no answer. Their voicemail box is full, so I cannot leave a voicemail. I send 2 text messages, and nothing. I knock on the door loudly over 5 times, very loudly over the next 20 minutes. Nothing. It's now 2:03 pm, and BAM someone opens the door. No apology, no "hi how are you", nothing. I'm in total shock at the lack of customer service. The person who opened the door was Anna Severn, I believe. She acts like nothing's wrong with any of this. I explain to her I've been waiting 20 minutes and had come early per the email I was sent and I had been calling, knocking the door, texting, with no way to contact her. She just stands there, stares at me, and says nonchalantly "Oh well, I was busy. Your appointment isn't until 2 though." I explain to her well the email I was sent by your own business says otherwise and my understanding was that in order for my treatment to go smoothly I needed to arrive early or else my appointment could be shortened and I could be charged. She just stands there staring at me. I'm thinking, whoa, what's going on here? Something is off. At this point I look around and there is NO ONE ELSE inside there. What was she doing exactly while I was knocking on the door, calling, and texting so many times? I actually felt EXTREMELY uncomfortable with the energy in there, like something shady was going on. She just stood there staring at me. I actually got creeped out and I straight up told her I felt like my time had been wasted and that they shouldn't send emails with strict time regulations telling ppl to arrive early or they'll charge me if they do not abide to these rules themselves. She doesn't even agree with me. She just stands there and goes "okay" without a care in the world and I straight up leave. BIZARRE behavior to say the least. Why does my session have to be shortened and then I get charged more according to their email (see the screenshot I attached), when I'm the one that is not late and Anna is totally unreachable? Like seriously? Anna, instead of having blonde women write nasty Yelp Reviews about me, call me. You have my number. People who conduct business like that don't deserve my hard-earned money. I will take my business elsewhere!

I have been seeing Anna Severn at retreat for over four years and she is a phenomenal practitioner. She has proved to be the most intuitive and reliable body care worker I have ever worked with. She is consistently good at righting and guiding me through bodily wonks and anyone who misses the opportunity to work with her is an idiot. The care I've gotten from Anna Severn, and any of the other practitioners at Retreat has always been phenomenal. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Seeing Candise for acupuncture is a bright spot during the last year of COVID! After transitioning to working from home with a less than ideal setup I started to have neck, wrist and back issues. She's helped me alleviate these and offered advice on things I can do with diet, stretches and WFH setup adjustments at home so that I'm more comfortable. In addition to acupuncture she also does cupping, gua sha and bodywork and can recommend Chinese herbs and supplements as well. She's been a huge help! Retreat takes COVID seriously. They take your temp when you arrive, have a number of private rooms, air purifiers, etc. highly recommend!

I'm so grateful to have acupuncturist Anna Severn as my practitioner! I have been seeing Anna for acupuncture, cupping and massage for many years, which has been instrumental in keeping my aging back and neck relaxed and in good working order. Several years ago I developed carpal tunnel syndrome in both of my arms from repetitive desk work, and Anna's thoughtful, patient treatment has greatly reduced my flare-ups and symptoms. She facilitates integrated healing because she deeply understands the mind-body connection. Candise is great at modifying the techniques she uses in each session to where I'm at in my progress. Her in-depth treatments don't just provide thorough, immediate relief-- our chats and the additional resources she provides (like herbal supplements and clinical information) also help me better adapt to my chronic condition and empower me to continue healing my relationship with my self and my body between sessions. Anna is wonderful -- and is the only acupunturist who was able to bring me relief of chronic and very painful gastrointestinal issues. She was kind, acessible, and flexible. She takes a very holistic approach, asking me questions each week about my lifestyle, diet, changes I was noticing, etc. I felt that she was very thoughtful and thorough. She also taught me a lot about how acupuncture works, since it was my first time. The building and space is beautiful, too.

I've been to Retreat Acupuncture for more than 6 months now, and it's one of the best places to go to if you have chronic or acute pain. Recently, I injured my back (sciatica) and I was really unable to function (run, bike or even work). One session with Rob Umfress, the "fascia whisperer", got me to probably 80% better. I then saw Candace Yang a few days later for acupuncture and she was able to open up my spine with her needles. The next morning I woke up and I could bend down and touch my toes with only a little pain. The following day I had another fascia massage with Rob and now I think I'm about 95% better! It's a miracle sandwich seeing both Rob and Candace for injuries. If you are feeling throbbing sharp pain make an appointment pronto with these two. Make it a sandwich!

My sessions with Candise were my first experience with acupuncture. I'm so glad I found her, and I only wish I had started earlier! Weekly visits have significantly improved my well-being, helping me reduce stress, manage lower back pain, and improve my sleep quality. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I cannot speak more highly of Candise at Retreat Acupuncture. She is extremely knowledge, thoughtful and kind. She goes above and beyond to understand your needs as well as educate you throughout your session. Julie is truly exceptional. I've been going to her for about a year now. One of the best choices I've made all year. My outwards and inner health both radiate a warm glow - due to her superb and confident touch. Julie puts unparalleled energy into her practice. I always know that I'm in good healing hands - when I arrive at Retreat Acupuncture. Julie remembers details about my life, when it comes to daily stresses or health concerns and ALWAYS addresses them efficiently in each session. Outside of her therapeutic acupuncture touch - she expresses real warmth and concern, that you just don't find in many fields nowadays. If you're afraid of needles, Julie is extremely skilled when it comes to placing them, and uses very thin needles - which you can barely feel. If you're nervous about cost - she's wonderful about working with all sorts of insurance. One of the most eye-opening aspects of going to Julie - is that you don't need to have an ailment to enjoy the benefit of acupuncture. Julie knows how to address back pains, body aches, and other health concerns with her work, but she's also wonderful at just using acupuncture as a means of preventative care. If you feel yourself getting sick, or know that the sniffle season is coming along - one visit to Julie with strengthen your immune system pronto. If you're having skin concerns or looking or a skin pick me up - look into her Facial acupuncture. If you're stressed and suffering from daily anxieties -a visit to Julie will soothe your soul and mind. If you suffer from female related issues - whether it be cramps or the like a - visit to Julie will surely help. If you're having trouble sleeping - visit Julie. If you have a nagging pain that won't go away - visit Julie. The list could go on... Julie's a wonder-woman. It's obvious that she loves what she does and loves treating people. I'm so thankful that I've discovered her gifted touch, advice, and heart. Trust.

I've been going on more runs lately and noticing some old and new aches and pains develop. Going in to see Candise Yang, and knowing that she'll find the source of it and help release it helps me keep going! She is also the best listener. I've been going weekly for 6 months, and couldn't be happier.

Update: 2/10/18 Anna Severn is the best! Since starting with her in Sept 2017, I have moved to monthly maintaince and I have NOT had any of my previous symptoms return!! My creaky knee is smooth (even after a 9 hr. Road trip), and all of my fingers that had trigger finger are still healed! Anna is very honest and doesn't try to talk you into having more treatments than needed! PS I still keep trying to talk her into treating my Parrot Bubu. :) -------- In December 2017, I was diagnosed with trigger finger in three of my fingers by my primary care doctor. She told me the only way to heal it was to "rest" it . I tried for a couple months to "rest" it, and ended up overworking 2 other fingers, so then I had it in 3 fingers ! That's when I decided to try accupuncture. I wasn't too sure about it, but wanted to try it. sept 2017, I started going to Anna once a week, and I'm really happily surprised with the results! All 3 of my fingers have healed! She also has been working on my creaky knee and it's also so much better. The atmosphere at her practice is warm and comfortable, and She genuinely cares about her patients. My only wish, is that she could treat my Parrot, who has some arthritis. Now that I'm sold on the benefits of accupuncture, I will be definitely be going to her for ongoing maintenance!

I have been seeing Candise Yang since the end of June, and she's helped me with chronic tension and pain from working long hours on the computer. I work in tech, and do a ton of coding. When I first started seeing Candise, I was having a lot of issues with my hands, wrists, and forearms. She explained that the pain was likely coming from my neck, and did some acupuncture on trigger points. The before and after is crazy. The pain becomes less and less during the treatment. I've started recommending her to my friends, and let people know what a difference acupuncture has made.

Karinn is amazing. I've been seeing her for over 7 months as she's been healing me at The Assembly. She's beyond gentle in her touch, super accommodating, knowledgeable and just amazing. Most recently her treatments helped me overcome a vertigo problem I've had on and off for years so she really is that great! I highly recommend her for acupuncture treatments she's a delight and always has a smile on her face!

Karinn is truly amazing that's why you see everyone rave about her on here! I was nervous about doing acupuncture because let's face it, it's needles, however, the first time I was treated by Karinn she did it so gently and made me feel so comfortable. I love how she remembers every conversation we had in previous appointments and how she recommends ways for me to make my lifestyle better. I go to her because I have stomach issues related to digestive problems and she's been helping me get better. I'm not better just yet, but I'm on the road to becoming better. The office itself is so nice too! They have hot tea and water and a nice sitting area for you to wait it. The treatment rooms are also so calming. I prefer the rooms on the right as the only left side room has a window that can get the room pretty light and bright but oh well they have eye masks if you need it! I do want to mention though that the other acupuncturist are great! Over the holidays when Karinn was out she happily booked me with Rachel for a treatment and I loved working with her as well. Rachel is leaving this practice though and moving to another one. She was also fab! I don't think you can go wrong with anyone here. I love how they don't mind if you "see someone else" if it works better for your schedule once in a while. Thinking about trying acupuncture do it! So many health benefits and they take most insurance!

Go see Karinn! I have been a patient of Karinn for years. I have a long list of injuries which include having broken my back, foot, and wrist. I have had shoulder injuries in both sides and a shoulder surgery on one side. I have tried so many approaches to pain management. Working with Karinn I always find immediate relief, and I have confidence that I will be pain free and sleep well again after a session. As an athlete and individual this is of upmost importance to me that I can manage pain so that I can keep functioning at a high level of performance. Thank you Karinn :)

I've been seeing Candise Yang for 3 months, and I couldn't recommend her more highly. She's helped me with a variety of issues, ranging from chronic ENT issues like allergies and ear infections, to long-standing low back pain, as well as been my go-to person for all my other miscellaneous aches and pains. She does acupuncture in a way that I haven't experienced much before, and I love how she uses a mix of methods. Her approach is super effective at releasing my muscles - I tell my friends it's basically like a really efficient deep tissue massage. I recommend her for acupuncture to anyone who's into being pretty physically active! She's a great listener, too, and I feel like each session has the extra bonus of a mini-therapy session :)

It's been a week since I saw Julie and I can already feel results. I went to her for stress/ anxiety. How anxious am I? I was anxious about making the appointment, let alone even going to see her. This is the first time I have tried acupuncture so I was nervous. The first thing that put me at ease is her office. It is beautiful, warm, and welcoming. I felt right at home. I even took my shoes off! Then Julie and I started talking and I knew I was in good hands. One of the most amazing things that happened in that first meeting is that Julie gently convinced me to give up coffee and soda. People have tried to do that before but she has the facts to back it up. A week alter and I feel great! She also introduced me to Chinese herbs that are helping take the edge off my stress naturally. I fall asleep easier and I'm drinking more water. All that, and I haven't even gotten to the acupuncture part! If you're a newbie like me, fear not. Really. I was nervous but that was unnecessary. The needles are TINY and you can close your eyes if you don't want to see them. A friend compared the feeling to a bug bite but I didn't even feel that. I reacted pretty strongly to my first treatment but it felt good and relaxing. Laying there for 20 minutes while the needles did there thing was the highlight of my day. I actually took time to relax. I will need to update this review in a few months. That's when I will have my first doctor appointment for a reoccurring health problem I've had since I was 16. Julie's working on it and hopefully it will be gone. Stay tuned!

I have been taking advantage of the excellent healing talents of Julie and Jen at Retreat Acupuncture since April of 2010. For me, the most important factors when choosing a health care practitioner are if the individual is a good listener and an expert in their field, and Julie and Jen both excel in those categories. I scheduled my first visit because I had been suffering from coughing attacks for six weeks which eventually led to a sinus infection. I had been prescribed a nasal spray to be taken every day indefinitely, but Jen had my sinuses cleared in my first treatment. Since that awesome first experience, I've been going back as often as possible for various chronic issues and to take care of my general health. In addition to kick butt treatments and herbal formulas, I've received excellent mentoring on dietary and lifestyle changes to further bolster my overall health. Both women are truly invested in helping their patients reach their mental and physical health goals. The office and treatment rooms are always clean, the reception staff is friendly, and I always leave feeling worlds better than when I arrived. They also accept insurance, which is great. I would recommend Julie and Jen to anyone, and I pretty much do... I've sent several friends here already! Make your appointment! :)

What can I say, except that I am so grateful to Julie and Connie and staff. With their support, I've been able to relax and overcome anxiety and panic attacks. It is unfortunate that many insurance companies don't recognize acupuncture for reimbursement, as I feel that it does help with chronic pain, inflammation and mild to moderate forms of depression and anxiety. Now, what I love about Julie's practice is that she has a specific focus on women's health and fertility. I've realized that many symptoms that I have may be related to a form of PMS and SAD. I found that acupuncture has helped alleviate many symptoms related to my PMS and SAD. In addition, it has helped to promote a stronger focus on life and my personal health. After stopping treatment for about 1.5 months, I noticed my symptoms coming on again. I am fortunate that my insurance has covered my treatment cost, but I am choosing to utilize it in a targeted manner around my menstrual cycle moving forward. I'm excited to explore and examine how it changes my outlook and productivity. Also, Julie and Connie do a wonderful FACIAL acupuncture that acts to relax muscles on your face that may cause wrinkles. ASK the office about it!!!

I am a huge fan of Julie's!! I have been seeing Julie for over a year now. She recently opened up her own practice and it's amazing. Julie is extremely talented, knowledgeable, and able to explain concepts of eastern medicine in a sensical manner. She genuinely cares about her patients as well as stays up to date on new techniques. Julie always goes above and beyond with her services: heated treatment beds, rooms with candles, mineral heat lamps, and soothing music, and offers a myriad of herbal options. She really cares and it shows! After every treatment with Julie, I always feel relaxed and more balanced.

I am very particular about acupuncture studios, and this one is in the upper echelons for me. It's clean, the staff is friendly, and the place is my Zen after a long day. Karinn Gallagher is so attentive and awesome!

I had been oging to acupuncture for a few years and had benefitted from it....then I was referred to Jennifer Little and I truly found out what it can do for my health and life. Jennifer is a true healer. As a psychologist who teaches clinical skills to students I have ccome to observe that some people are simply born healers...they are intuitive about the body and the person and can instantly read and understand what the problem is and how to approach the patient to create a path to recovery and wellness. Jennifer is one of those rare persons with this gift. The setting is quiet and relaxing and Amanda at the front desk is patient and effecient and a miracle worker when it comes to insurance issues and other administrative matters. I have had back pain on and off due to mild scoliosis for many years and recently was in an MVA and have whiplash and other back injuries. Jennifer has been my salvation - she got me back on my feet and able to run again and has seemed to know each visit just what I need. I would give 6 stars if I could!

Julie is great- with a big exclamation point! I don't have alot of experience with acupuncture, but I am a big fan thanks to Julie. I went to another practice before coming to Julie, they were in a cramped run down building with plywood on the walls and papers everywhere. It was not a relaxing environment to say the least. Julie's office and treatment space is beautiful and welcoming. Besides the aesthetics, which do matter here, Julie takes great care with me. She listens to my concerns and addresses them with a dose of good advice and of course the acupuncture. Which by the way is totally pain free. I feel that my mood and health benefit from every visit. Strongly recommend!

Wow, what an inviting and comfortable experience! Both Daniel and Karinn have worked wonders on my aches and pains. They have very different styles of massage but both are extremely effective. I also went to Karinn for acupuncture - I mentioned that I'm not a fan of needles. I've had acupuncture in the past, but she eased my mind and was very communicative and clear about the process. It was especially nice that my health insurance plan covered the sessions so be sure to check with your coverage to see if it works for you too. The building is historic, the beds are heated and the rooms are quiet. I can't wait to go back to this friendly and relaxing place to continue a regular body work practice.

I just started going to Edith Nunez Baña and have had an exceptional experience. I'm new to the healing arts of acupuncture and am impressed with how quickly it's alleviated my lower back pain that I've been experiencing, as well as feeling more balanced and rested. My back went out while trying to pick up a laundry basket and I was in SO much pain. I went to Karinn who identified exactly what and where the problem was in my back. She did just three needles of acupuncture and the pain started to subside quickly. This was the first time I tried acupuncture since I was just unsure of it before. Now I see how helpful, easy and painless it can be. The next day my back was a bit soar, but the debilitating pain around my spine was gone and I was able to not miss a day of work. Karinn made me feel so comfortable, told me every step she was doing and was very professional. Go see her! She is a wonderful healer! I have been going to Karinn for over six months and I couldn't recommend her enough! I initially came to Karinn for neck and back pain treatment as well as help with anxiety. Julie is a GEM! The space is beautiful...I love to go early and have a cup of tea from her lovely tea selection. Her approach is comfortable to be with as though I have known her for years. I love all of her knowledge that she graciously shares, which helps me with learning about my mind, body and spirit. I simply go for tune-ups every few weeks. I leave relaxed... As though I had a massage and I feel back to balance, ready to get back out in the world and make it all happen:) *The herbs she customizes for me to take in between appointments are amaze too.

I've been treated by Karinn many times over the last few years. She is a truly gifted practitioner with what can only be described as "healing hands" - the moment she places her hands on you, there is an overwhelming sense of calm and relaxation. Karinn takes a very consultative approach to her treatments and always checks in before placing any points or massaging any areas of strain or discomfort. This is a wonderful clinic and I highly recommend Karinn for your next treatment.

I see Karinn for abdominal massages and have had the best experiences! She is so gentle and warm and compassionate in everything she does. I was in pretty bad shape when I met her (physically and emotionally) and she was there for me and took care of me and made me feel so much better! She even called me on the weekend to see how I was doing after a treatment! Not to mention, her massage is AH-mazing! Thank you Karinn! Oh, and, Retreat Acupuncture is in the most incredible building of healers and you can feel the amazing warm energy when you are there. Such a gem.

Julie is AH-mmazing. I was always a little on the fence about acupuncture, but when I found a place that took my insurance I figured it was worth a shot because western medicine just plain keeps failing me. Now, I'd pay full price without insurance in a heart beat. I tell everyone I know they should go see her, and even tried to come up with a list of potential illnesses someone might treat by going to see her. The space is awesome, and I feel like I'm catching up with an old friend every time I go in.

I am so fortunate to have been supported by Anna Severn and Retreat over the last few months! I have been dealing with intense and debilitating vertigo for nearly a year. I have had many doctors' appointments, blood tests, an MRI, physical exercises, etc. and haven't been able to find a root cause or effective management. Anna at Retreat changed all that, my only regret is that I didn't do this sooner. Anna has seen me for about once a week for 3 months. When I started with her, I couldn't engage in strenuous physical activity, it would take me hours to get up and ready in the morning, and a change in weather could knock me out of commission for days. It was hard to work or play with my kids, and I was exhausted all the time. When she first met with me on this, Anna took a warm, supportive, and curious approach that made it so easy to talk to her about what was going on. The entire atmosphere was relaxed and professional. I had immediate effect after the first treatment and had a major increase in energy and reduction of symptoms. The vertigo came back after a few days, but after each treatment it has taken longer to re-emerge and with less intensity than before I started seeing her. Now, 3 months later, my vertigo only comes in a handful of situations and passes quickly, and she seems determined to knock it out completely. I feel like I got my life back! I'm so grateful. Anna really does have that special quality that turns a skillful practitioner into a healer.

I love Julie. She's so talented. She is very knowledgeable and attentive, has great technigue and bedside manner. Her office is beautiful and relaxing. I try to see her every week for a tune-up and we address whatever issue I might be dealing with that week. And, whether it's a backache, headache, pms, low energy, or insomnia Julie always knows how to make me feel my best.

Karinn is an incredible acupuncturist and massage therapist. She listens to you and your body and knows exactly what to do to make you feel relaxed. I have yet to find a massage therapist that so quickly pinpoints exactly where my pain is rooted and addresses it so accurately. I've also had the pleasure of being cupped by Karinn and have to say it's one of my favorite treatments I've received! I highly recommend Karinn for her patience, calm presence and healing touch.

I first came to Retreat in October 2010 and have been a diehard fan ever since. When I first met Julie, I was having severe back pain. I felt incredibly comfortable opening up about my symptoms and knew I was in good hands. After a few treatments, my back pain was gone! I soon after got pregnant and Julie was a life saver during those long 9 months. She was loving and answered any "mom" questions I had. My pregnancy was easy, calm, and stress-free, thanks to her! She even cleared her schedule when I was overdue so she could treat me every day until the baby came. I love Retreat and would highly recommend it to any pregnant mamas or anyone in need of pain relief!

I went to Julie based on the great Yelp reviews, because I wanted to try to get pregnant and after about 18 years on the pill I found that I wasnt ovulating. I tried getting an appointment with a fertility doctor, which took so long that I figured I'd try accupuncture in the meantime. I'm a born skeptic, and have a very quantiative background so I'm someone who needs to see proof that treatments are working. I saw Julie twice and after the 2nd visit I saw the line on the stick that indicated ovulation! I was amazed, and that was scientific proof to me that her needles and herbs worked. Meanwhile, it took over a month for my insurance company to let me know that they dont even cover fertility, which would have been so upsetting except that by then, Julie had already corrected my issue. She's great, and so is her office space. It's all very relaxing, and a pleasure to go. I've been recommending her to my closest friends.

Rachel is fantastic. She is a compassionate listener and incredible healer. She somehow hits every spot perfectly and, before you know it, the pain melts away. I have seen a handful of acupuncturists and Rachel is the very best.

Julie is excellent!! She is very professional and good at what she does, and she makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk in the door. Her practice is very clean and inviting. I have to admit, I was a bit nervous about "the needles" but there was absolutely zero pain... really, none whatsoever! My first acupuncture experience was with Julie and she made it very relaxing and enjoyable. I am now 40 weeks pregnant and the work Julie did on my body has boosted the happy healthy baby inside of me. She has done a lot of work with pregnant and post pregnant women which made me feel very safe. I will recommend Julie to anyone that mentions acupuncture to me - she is great!!!
