We went in mid week and it was lovely. The food was delicious, I ordered the omelette and it was amazing. It came with a little pot of pear jam and it was great, so tasty. Also the jam is homemade so it’s even better. I would be coming back, the chef makes excellent food, everyone there is lovely.

I had a donar and salad. The dressing and sauce were amazing. The sweet potato Fries crisp with a nicely spiced aioli. I did have room for a Cree but they looked amazing too. Next time.

A beautiful gem in the heart of Creston. The food was above and beyond. The owner was delightful and gave us excellent service. Charming French touches throughout including homemade pear jam and an omelette that knocked our socks off! Would drive out of my way to visit here again. ❤️☕️

Well I have to say my visit here for the first time was a surprise. I have been living here for a year and have been meaning to try it. My mom and I were out running errands and stopped by for breakfast. When we walked in, it was a delightful burst of yellow with a vintage farmhouse vibe. I was all eyes scouring the chalk board for specials and looking at all the vintage pictures and collectibles. The restaurant was packed but there were two free tables, and most of the seated tables had their food already, so we sat down. Within 10 minutes of getting there, those guests eating had paid and left, leaving 3 tables including us. we were served our coffees quickly and put in our orders. Some highlights worth mentioning is the parking in the back. The front parking lot is tiny but there is lots around back. The other delight was the gluten free options. i was able to have toast for the first time since starting keto. I got a two-egg omelette and my mom got the 2-2-2 which was 2 egg 2 bacon 2 toast. We both enjoyed our meals. So why 4 stars instead of 5? We waited 45 minutes for our meal from the time we ordered. It was worth the wait and they may have been short staffed, but we were definitely wowed by a great meal, friendly staff and a cheery atmosphere.

The crepes are delicious!! My kids liked the sweet ones and we enjoyed the savoury. The little cafe is cute and it's pretty easy to get to as it is close to the highway. It did take longer to get the food. The ingredients are fresh.

What a fantastic place to make a pitstop in your travels. Everything is homemade and delicious. There are lots of gluten-free options. We highly recommend the gluten-free crêpes especially the one with pear jam and pistachio ice cream. The service is personal and friendly and the coffee is very good. Plus you can enjoy the lovely little yard at the back with a pear tree!

The service here is incredible. It’s the place to go for authentic French cooking. The crepes are so good! Both savoury and sweet. Could not recommend this enough.

Yelp
While the tzatziki sauce was good, there was , maybe , an ounce of chicken on the half chicken gyro panini. It was waaay more bread than chicken. When the gal asked how things were and I told her "only ok" she seemed unconcerned and didn't ask what I meant by that comment. When I told her about the lack of chicken, again, unconcerned. A$15 meal should be of quality . Wont go back, not worth it !!!

Yelp
Cute little diner off the highway, amazing food. Had some homemade mushroom soup and had to have one of their crepes for dessert.

Yelp
Little local spot with super friendly solo chef that checks in on you personally. Depending on if multiple groups of ppl come in at same time you may have to wait a bit for your food. The food is simple but pretty good. Their carbs are the best. Toasts are multi grain with nuts. The crepes with the maple syrup, though unassuming is so good. My kid didn't like it cuz she's used to having Nutella on them, but I loved it, and traded her crepes for my toast. The maple syrup wasn't overly sweet and goes perfect with the crepes (and pancake). The egg dishes were typical. Overall enjoyable breakfast.

Yelp
Small friendly place. Excellent panini special. Really good soup. Good quick stop on the road.

Yelp
We wanted some breakfast, but didn't want Tim's. I did a quick Google search, and found this little gem. The restaurant is not very big, it's attached to the delightful French owner's home. All the food is made right there, from scratch. Even the pear jam! I had the French Crepes and my BF had the omelette. He enjoyed his omelette a lot, and I can't remember when o had such amazing crepes, outside of Quebec!! Yum!! The portions aren't huge, but each and every bite is full of flavour. If you are in Creston BC and wanting a good breakfast, Retro Cafe is the place to go!!

Yelp
Always delicious. Every time. And the place is usually packed with locals. So you know it's good. Not cheap, but good and fresh. Very laid back atmosphere.

Yelp
Cozy, creative and comfortable with a deliciously eclectic menu, the service was friendly, quick and efficient. So glad we stopped for lunch on our way through town, we enjoyed a delicious donair and yummy Neptune Crepe. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
My wife and I have been to France a number of times and had their crepes. This is where you will find the exact same authentic crepe from a nice French Lady making them. OUTSTANDING!!!!! DELICIOUS AND REAL. GO here for breakfast!!!! I'm serious the orange juice is real the coffee freshly ground.

Yelp
Unexpectedly amazing. Take it from a self professed Asian foodie. The food here is delicious and they have a lot of GLUTEN FREE options as well. Service is friendly and attentive here. I had the wild salmon Neptune with mushrooms and spinach wrapped in a buckwheat crepe. It was excellent. Wish I had a photo to share. I recommend this to anyone.

Yelp
Everything our party of 4 ordered was amazing, best way to celebrate (US) Thanksgiving! Thanks for the incredible food and the friendly conversation.

Yelp
Such a nice place with a good selection on menus. Very original and well thought! It's a little bit of southern France in Creston. Crepes, poutines, pancakes, soups, quiches, etc. Ideal for breakfast, brunches, lunches, "goûters" (tea time) and even more diner!!

Yelp
The group of us all tried different paninis, gyros, and their french fries with cheese curds and gravy. All were great. Then we split four different dessert crepes. Yummy! We had a very nice time and the owner and waitress were so helpful and friendly.

Yelp
Don't miss this little gem. We just had a fantastic breakfast. The breakfast burrito was one of the best I've had. It was very simple with just eggs and thinly sliced ham wrapped in a tortilla, but the ingredients were just right. My wife had a fried egg, rye toast with homemade tart cherry jam, and bacon. I left with a latte and two gluten free homemade cookies, as well as a biscotti. Great breakfast and a very nice host/owner/chef.

Yelp
Great little cafe! When passing through Creston, skip the Timmy's down the street and instead get some awesome home made crepes, tacos and cookies at Retro. And don't forget to have one of their smoothies or specialty French iced coffees. Yum! Super nice owners.

Yelp
Delicious crepes, panini, baked goods, poutine, sandwiches and more! Great beverage selection that included Kombucha. A family run diner that is worth the stop! Lovely service as well.

Yelp
Very small but cozy atmosphere. The food was fresh and very tasty. I had the donair panini was excellent but very filling. My daughter's poutine was authentic and very filling as well

Yelp
This is a great place for Breakfast. We had a bacon and cheese omlette, and the pancakes with eggs. The omlette was fluffy and well suffed. Pancakes made from scratch as well. Everything is homemade including the berry jam for our toasts. I don't think the bread was homemade but it was excellent as well. The prices are reasonable and the service was good too.
