Right on the Quattro Canti intersection of the historic center, the ground floor of Retrobottega is a high-end specialty foods, wine, and provisions shop. Upstairs, there’s a cocktail bar with table service for drinks and light snacks of cured meats, cheeses, and vegetarian platters. We had a wonderful experience. The steaks were cooked exactly as requested—one perfectly medium and the other well done. The green olives without pits were excellent as well. A special mention goes to the waitress (unfortunately, we did not catch her name), who was extremely friendly and attentive. Despite us dining with a rather demanding baby girl, she was very supportive and helped us truly enjoy our meal. We felt genuinely welcomed and well taken care of.

Gourmet grocery with great prices, ended up doing most of my pantry staples shopping here to take back home with me as i didn’t have time to go to the normal grocery. They also had very unique products which i didn’t see much elsewhere in the city. We ended up also having a sandwich and a meal here which was great! Generally happy with our orders- roast beef sandwich, caesar salad and breaded veal (could be improved, better crunch and breading). Though would have wanted to try the charcuterie board given the chance. Would recommend overall!

This place is a 12 outta 10 Here’s why: We shared 3 panini: polpo carpaccio, roast beef, and mortadella and each one was perfect in its own way. Pure, balanced flavors and top-quality ingredients. The staff were kind, genuine, and made us feel truly welcome. You can tell they care. Also, the place itself has a calm and stylish vibe.

The food was fantastic, the interior is gorgeous, the staff was incredibly friendly! I was able to sit and enjoy my lunch (a spiedini to rival my mother’s) and a delicious cocktail in a comfortable chair and without feeling rushed. Highly recommend!

One of our favourite places in Palermo. Lovely staff, great food and not pretentious. All the food is great quality and really nice. The cheese is fantastic as is the steak. We went several times over 2 weeks and always had a very warm welcome. They even let my other half play the piano. Thank you so much for everything, see you next time we are in Sicily!

We discovered this place when stopping in to buy something from the deli to take back to the flat, what a great discovery ! Wonderful selection of food and wine. Came back again the next day and then the day after to eat in. Not to be missed.

For me and my friends it was the best place to eat, all fresh and high quality, we have been 3 times there, 2 times in port marina and one in the center, both shops are great, also big selection of delicatessen and good wine card ✅highly recommend 👍🏼

Located above a gourmet grocery store this place is a welcome break from the touristy stuff on the street outside. We loved it so much we came back the next day for lunch! Sandwiches and pastas are delicious, fresh, and excellent wine list. Go!
