The 11 Best Breweries In The Hudson Valley & The Catskills 2024 - Hudson Valley - The Infatuation

"Return Brewing was founded by former Sixpoint employees, and offers laidback vibes in an old Hudson tire repair shop. Their Polished Pilsner has become a local favorite in and around town as has the Westwhere West Coast IPA, which harkens back to the piney goodness of early craft beer days. If they have the Sword Lily Sour on tap or in a can, snag that one—you’re in for a tart treat. On the weekends, they have a rotating cast of food trucks set up to keep you nourished. And if you’re looking to make a whole day of it with a crawl, Union Street Brewing is just a five-minute walk away." - keith hernandez

5 Ways New York State Is Reducing Food Waste

"After collaborating with Black Seed Bagels to repurpose surplus bagels, the team developed a Come Back Kölsch brewed with locally sourced malt and hops and inspired by a recipe from late brewer Dylan Weber. Early technical challenges—shredding the bagels and calculating their sugar contribution—were solved to produce a crisp, easy-drinking blonde fermented with authentic Kölsch yeast, featuring a hint of lemon, a subtle toasted-white-bread note, and a modest 4.2% ABV; proceeds from taproom pint sales have supported local nonprofits including Greater Hudson Promise, the Hudson Area Library, and AFSP." - Meredith Bethune

The beer is absolutely amazing here. I would highly recommend! The staff is extremely attentive and the space is beautiful. They do tons of events and have food trucks that are so tasty. You can totally leave your belongings on the table and go to the restroom if you need. It’s extremely safe.

Wonderful open space brewery next to the train tracks in Hudson Ny. The beers were good and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The space was dog and family friendly. Bar stools to a comfy couch with games made this brewery a worth while stop for a few pints in Hudson. Thank you for the good vibes and beers😁🧡

Great open air brewery and a literal stones throw to Upper Depot. Parking is not an issue if driving. Big open space, velvet chairs, vintage barstools, it’s a vibe. The lager was solid, not a big fan of the sour. Will get more next time, but a great spot to grab a brew in downtown Hudson.

We have been visiting Return Brewing since they opened up the full seating area and really enjoy all the beer options available. The brewery feels spacious, and I appreciate all the programming that they plan for the community. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the neighborhood!

Great spot, fabulous beers, beautiful can art work! This place is definitely worth a stop on your Hudson valley travels. The stark relief IPA was especially tasty when consumed in the middle of the woods, 10/10

I just sat down after a very hot day of work and ordered whatever Pilsner they had on tap at the local pizza place, and was very pleasantly surprised by the “polished Pilsner” I received. Kudos! It’s what I want all Pilsner’s to be on a hot day. 5 stars all day to this beer.

Yelp
A tale of 4 breweries So we tried to visit the brewery (#1) across the street for a flight and some food. It closed at 4, then we were going to have a beer at Return (#2) which opened at 4. The first place closed early (before 3:30pm), so we had some time to check out another spot (#3) a bit of a drive away. (5 min). The other place seemed fine, but since my spouse said the 4pm spot was good, we went back. Second customers in after opening, and I asked if they had any food or flights. He very politely told me that they did not have flights or food (tonight, but they did have some bagged snacks) and told me another brewery (#4) had both those things a short distance away (5-10 min/a few blocks). After chatting with the spouse (she and 3 kids had entered), we decided to stay. (Also, as a fun side-note, #4 is the one spouse thought she was taking us to.) We shared half a pilsner (Polished), half a gose (Speed Dial), and half an IPA (Westwhere). The Pilsner ended up being our 3rd favorite, but they were all tasty. We are not big drinkers, so we felt the 1.5 beers each! And since we were staying, we picked up a mandarin soda for the kids to share (special treat) and we all munched on a bit of popcorn, beef jerky, and Zapp's chips. It ended up being a great time! Very affordable, low-key, solid tunes, and super kid friendly. It's a big space, so noisy children are not too noticeable. Also, the man running the bar, again, was super cool. Highly recommend!

Yelp
A local brewery with delicious beer, a huge American flag and WWE on the projector. This is kismet on a Hudson day trip. I ordered a holiday stout infused with cherries, loved it. There's are plenty of tables and lounge areas besides the bar top. Really solid sound system playing low key beats. And 3 coolers stocked with beer to go. I plan to return next visit to Hudson.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Sunday to wet my whistle with my lady. We sat at the bar on and it was super chill in the tasting room. Nice and open room with families and dogs and a super friendly bartender William who suggested some fine beer selections and told us the history of the brewery. Please visit this place you won't be disappointed. Also cool bro on the guitar giving it all he got!
