After closing on our first house, we decided we were hungry and wanted some good grub. Our friend suggested this place, and she was spot on! We got there close to opening at lunchtime; there was no wait. But there was a steady stream of people and groups coming in.
Décor: Nothing really amazing, well laid out, love booths, and was clean.
Food: We were informed this was a from-scratch kitchen, so anything could be modified if needed. (we should have brought our super picky diner friend, hahaha!) Anyhoo, the pile of chips was fresh homemade potato chips with a hint of truffle. The dips were good, not outstanding, but good. My friend had the falafel bowl that had quinoa and beets and the BEST falafels we have ever had. Like seriously, folks, so smooth and creamy fluffy soft on the inside and a thin but perfect fried crunch layer on the outside. They are not balls but more like flat fritters, so so good. Seasoned very well too! Hubs had the hot spicy chicken sandwich, which he raved about, juicy chicken and just the right amount of spicy kick! Look how cute they serve the fries too! I opted for the Re-union Club. It was a chicken filet, arugula, some kind of cheese, balsamic glaze, and pesto aioli. Yummers! Let's not forget the bread; I am in love with multigrain bread and there's was so delicious! I thought the balsamic made it a bit too sweet, but otherwise, everything else really came together. I loved that I had the option to have a salad instead of fries for my sandwich, trying to be somewhat good haha. It was well dressed.
Service: Sean was truly amazing and wonderful to have for our lunch. He came by often and really, as I mean, REALLY cared if we were enjoying ourselves and the food.
We are moving to Salem next month and this was just a hop, skip and jump away, so ya know we will be back!
