Had an amazing lunch at Revel Kitchen and Bar! The chicken biscuit sandwich was crispy, cheesy, and full of flavor — definitely a must-try. The fries were fresh and well-seasoned, and the chicken club was just as impressive. Also loved the grilled chicken salad — super fresh and topped with sweet corn and feta, perfect for a lighter option.

First meal after leaving Mount Diablo and what a spectacular meal we had at Revel! Our server Brooklyn took great care of us. She gave perfect recommendations from appetisers to entrees. Would visit again for all the wonderful food here (hopefully soon).

Came here for the first time , and was seated very quickly. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful when it came to recommending dishes. There appetizers were good but the main courses were spectacular. I got the steak medium rare and oh my goodness… might be the best steak I’ve had to date. The desert was really good as well, especially the apple bread pudding. Would come back here again.

Google
Fantastic place with constant high quality of service and outstanding food. We’ve been there dozens of times during last 6 years and they keep delivering. Today we celebrated birthday and had tuna tartare - extra fresh and juicy, tender salmon rare with cuscus, super flavored ribs, and steak frites - both rare and medium rare.

Came here for the first time. The food was very delicious and the service was quick and our waiter made sure to check on us often.

Google
Great place to grab lunch. I had the Mediterranean lamb sliders with fries that are delicious. The lamb sliders had a good zest to them and the fries are delicious paired with their sauces. Also, I got myself a peach vodka cocktail that my waiter recommended; great service!

So first off I want to say the management here is fantastic. I dined here previously, and didn’t have the best service. They reached out, heard me out, and truly wanted to make it a better experience. That meant alot to me that they cared enough to follow up, it really says a lot about the way they do business. It would be great if more restaurants were like this! I’ll start by saying, this place doesn’t fall short is of exceptional when it comes to their food. The deviled eggs were a great starter, but the highlight for me was the Fried Chicken Sliders. I was torn on what I was wanted, and my server Kevin suggested the Chicken Sliders. Which weren’t even on my radar. He really sold it, and I’m so glad he did! I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had such tender flavorful fried chicken. Then there’s the butterscotch pudding. Which will forever continue to be a standout for me. I can’t rave enough about how great the service was tonight. Kevin was super accommodating, professional, and helpful. I am thankful I had the opportunity to dine here again and had such a great evening!

This is one of my favorite restaurants, and I've enjoyed their delicious lamb sliders, wine, and other dishes on multiple visits. The menu is diverse, but the lamb sliders are a must-try. Their wine selection is also impressive. Other items I've enjoyed include spicy wild prawns, chicken and salmon salad, and their risotto. It's definitely a must-visit for a fun dining experience.

Yelp
I had forgotten how much I enjoy coming to Revel. When someone asks for a rec in town, Revel is one those restos I recommend. HH menu is pretry much the same as before and throughout the years they've impressivley retained the menu line, drinks and prices - amazing! I enjoyed the seasonal drink as well as per usual the with aioli. Something new was the king salmon ceviche that was more like a tartare. I would have preferred bigger chunks of salmon and maybe that's just me. We always get the oysters too that have managed to be at a whopping $1.50 with the perfect mignonette. We always love scoring the high-top corner table out in the front patio and our server (whom I think is new) was awesome! Don't ever change, Revel.

Yelp
This is my go-to restaurant in Danville for a modern dining experience. The steak frites are good- I would probably order Medium next time as Medium Rare was a bit too red for me. I heard the steak frites and short ribs are staples on the menu, so the short ribs will be something I try next time. One critique is the chocolate chip cookies. Nothing special at all... Overall, I would definitely recommend Revel. Make sure to grab a reservation for the weekend, or try your luck and see if you can grab 2 seats at the communal high top. I'd also recommend the bar- a great spot for drinks! Revel is Esin's second restaurant and well deserving of its solid ratings.

Joey T.

Yelp
Came here for a company dinner and they took care of our last minute reservation! Our server Kevin was amazing and remembered all the details. He was quick and made us laugh. The short ribs are a must! Butterscotch pudding and cookies were amazing. I heard the espresso martini was amazing too!

Winnie L.

Yelp
My second time here this week all for one thing: Chicken sliders. Why else? And the chips. Omg the CHIPS. Always a need. The fresh, straight out of the kitchen bite as I sunk my teeth into the buttery, crispy buttermilk biscuit before getting into the meat...uh, yeah. I DREAM about these! Highly recommend. Always. All the time. You can't go wrong.

Sadie D O.

Yelp
I've been to Revel three times now, and overall, it's still a great spot with excellent service and a welcoming ambiance. The staff is attentive and the atmosphere makes for an enjoyable dining experience. The food however, felt a little different this time compared to my previous visits. The grilled chicken penne pasta was still flavorful, but the sauce wasn't as rich and the vegetables seemed slightly overcooked. The sandwich with house made chips was good, but the bread was a bit dry which affected the overall balance of flavors. That said, Revel remains a solid choice for a meal, and I appreciate the consistency in service. I hope to see the food quality return to its previous standard, as this has been one of my go to places. Looking forward to my next visit!

Cassandra C.

Yelp
Food is scrumptious! Service/server (Kyle) is excellent. Dessert to die for and I need someone to roll me out of here! Celebrating belated birthdays with a possible food coma in our future LOL! Thank you, Revel!

Erin G.

Yelp
Met up with a friend for an early birthday dinner. Place was packed but we had reservations and were seated promptly. The short ribs and polenta were really tasty. I am not even really a fan of polenta but gobbled this down. Saved room for the butterscotch pudding. It is served with a chocolate shortbread cookie which cuts the sweetness. We were there from 6:30 until the place closed and they didn't even kick us out. The restaurant does get very loud when it is busy. There is outside seating but it was too cold to test it out. Bonus that there is ample parking outside back in the Clocktower lot.

Kevin C.

Yelp
Once again Revel reigns supreme in the light dinner and drinks category. This time some post Wine tasting Sunday afternoon Chicken Sliders and a scrumptious lemon tart for dessert. Sliders were perfect on a homemade buttermilk biscuit. But dessert stole the show. Beautiful, flavorful and so fresh!!

Eugene Y.

Yelp
I had the fried chicken sliders and a salad plus deviled eggs. Unimpressed. More batter than meat on the sliders, average at best salad and salty on the deviled eggs. If this is Southern comfort food, forget about it. Service was slow to average and ambiance was nice.

Rob W.

Yelp
Fantastic experience. Food and setting very cool. Showed up without res and was seated in 5 minutes on a Friday night.

Jamee S.

Yelp
Returned to celebrate our anniversary. Always such a lively place to hang. Great service. Kyle was attentive and professional. Food is amazing as usual. We ordered the fish special which was a beautifully cooked salmon with couscous, carrot puree, Swiss chard... just amazing! Cocktails are always on point. The Bing Cherry Upside Down Almond Cake was perfection!

Sara B.

Yelp
Freddy is so friendly and personable! This was my first time trying Revel, even though I live close by in Walnut Creek. We ordered several dishes, but the standout was definitely the chocolate peanut butter mousse. I am not a peanut butter fan, but Freddy convinced me to try it. There was a hint of peanut butter in the form of a delicious, fluffy mousse. Accompanied by a thin layer of chocolate ganache and a layer of chocolate mousse, it was the prefect ratio for satisfying our dessert craving without leaving us full. Loved every bit of it, was not heavy at all. Definitely will be back!

Kiyana T.

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE. Waited over an Hour and a Half for seating . With the waitress claiming that there would be seating after a table left from the patio . When It was visibly open and there were no customers, Came with a family of 5 and kids yet was never seated. I have yet to believe this was an act of racism due to us being asian and everyone in there was white. Horrible fucking service

Alejandra D.

Yelp
We came for Sunday brunch, seated outdoors. We were near a heater so that was nice. The huevos rancheros caught my attention. The portion was incredibly small! More like an appetizer. I read the menu wrong and swore I read it came with tortilla chips. The server was kind and went to ask the kitchen about it. She said she didn't think they had that and if they didn't, if chips would be okay. I appreciate she offered to sub it. She returned and the kitchen told her they don't have tortilla chips there. She showed me the menu and I read wrong, so that's my bad. It just said "tortillas". But also, tortilla chips would've been easy to make. You just chop up the tortilla into triangles and fry them like they do with the potato chips. My mom asked for a spicy sauce. Our server offered a few options like Tabasco, and a couple others. My mom asked her which was the spiciest and she said the revel. It wasn't spicy according to my mom. Then we were charged $2 for the little cup and it was half full. It didn't sit right that we were charged for it but we didn't know it was made in-house. Our server took it off our bill. She was kind and then the manager came over. She told us how it's made but the chiles she mentioned are not spicy. They just add flavor but no heat. Overall, I hope their other entrees are more heartier and larger portion than the huevos Ranchero. I left hungry.

Yelp

Yelp
Love the ambiance and great place to catch up with friends! Try to make a reservation. Happy hour is great...

Bart B.

Yelp
Waitstaff is incredibly rude. We were seated during a time that was not busy, but then were long ignored by waiters walking by repeatedly, with no greeting or service. Maybe we weren't in their "section"? There are so many better options in Danville.

J Christian E.

Yelp
Had a delicious drink and slider for a late lunch. Excellent service! My waiter recommended a wonderful peach vodka cocktail; yummy blend. There is both indoor and outdoor dining + center bar area. Definitely coming back to get desserts as they make it from scratch.

Jack W.

Yelp
Revel is the perfect place when you're in the mood for a slightly fancier dinner. Their chicken sandwiches are fantastic, and the beer flights are an absolute must-try! Don't skip dessert either--it's just as good as everything else on the menu. The service is always spot-on, which makes every visit even better. We love sitting at the bar or the inside front seating. The classy lighting and stylish interior make it a consistently great spot to dine

Michael T.

Yelp
We sat outside on a beautiful day and had a fantastic lunch. Excellent food and service. We will definitely be back again!

La'Ban W.

Yelp
This was our 3rd time coming here in a year and they never disappoint. Our first time here was the day we got engaged. So a one-year dinner anniversary. This time, we had a reservation through Resy, and there you can put things like occasion and dietary restrictions. I put that we were celebrating an anniversary and honey is lactose intolerant. Upon our arrival, there was a few minute wait while they prepared a table for us and they did wish us a happy anniversary. We sat at a table near the back door and they asked if we wanted that table, the table wasn't obstructed so we chose that table. It was rather quiet back there. A few moments later Sara(h) came by and took our order and asked about the dietary restrictions. Very appreciative of this. As always the food and drinks were good. I highly recommend the wings. The brussels sprouts were cooked to perfection. I had the short rib and it melts in your mouth. Honey had the pork chop and loved it too. There was a gentleman who kept coming by our table to make sure we had everything we needed (napkins under our drinks, steak knives, etc). He was dressed differently so I assume he had some authority and if he did have authority it was comforting to see him do the work rather than boss people around. Love this place. Will be back.

Breana H.

Yelp
This was my second time visiting. I came back for the short rib which was still pretty good. My friend ordered the FOTD which was salmon. neither of us cared for it but our waiter Danielle was great and swapped out the dish for another item. On a Friday night it was pretty busy as to be expected, so it was pretty loud but still a great time. However I wasn't aware that reservations were needed as I had called 40 min prior and was told there was no wait. When we got there we waited about 30 minutes. So a heads up would have been preferred. Overall good second experience.

Sue F.

Yelp
Loved our entire experience here tonight starting from the hostess who greeted us, to our waiter and our food. The ambiance was welcoming and perfect for an evening out. The Fish Fry special was very good as was the salmon special and vegan risotto. Prices were surprisingly reasonable and drinks were strong and worth it. No wonder it's such a popular place. Definitely coming back soon!

Gail B.

Yelp
good service. fresh ingredients. server was very attentive. got right in since it was a Sunday.

Nina Z.

Yelp
This is such a great spot to go for a date or with a group of friends for an evening out on the town. Wonderful ambiance with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely one of the happening places in Downtown Danville on a Friday night. Started off with some drinks, which were strong and delightful to drink. Food-wise, we ordered the avocado bruschetta*, roasted beets*, brussel sprouts, olives, chili almonds, spicy prawns, shrimp & grits*, and the truffle fries*. Food is a bit pricy, but taste-wise, delicious! Service was on top of checking in on us and keeping our waters refilled. It felt like we were there for awhile, but it didn't feel like since we were having a good time. We ended up sticking around for dessert. I appreciated that our waiter did not make us feel rushed to leave evne though it was nearing closing time. Until next time!

Moe D.

Yelp
I forgot to mention Adonis. He's great always friendly and happy. We're there twice a week

Katrina F.

Yelp
A fantastic dinner spot! The staff was friendly, and the restaurant itself has a pretty relaxed setting. I got the chicken and biscuits and subbed the chips for truffle fries - it was incredible. The chicken was juicy but also perfectly crisp and the biscuit was so soft. The truffle fries had a subtle hint of truffle, nothing too overpowering. I came here with my parents, partner, and his parents and everyone loved the food they ordered (salmon special, burger, gem salad). Will definitely be back!

Foodie B.

Yelp
Still so good and the happy hour is worth it! Fresh oysters, great small bites and of course waygu beef sliders that bring us back often! We love catching Dylan the bartender at the bar - he's so personable and always takes care of us!

Alec W.

Yelp
Revel is my go-to for a delicious burger. Snake River beef on a soft bun. I add cheese and bacon of course and it comes with fries. It is presented with the veggies on the side, a nice touch. A classy interior but not stuffy. The bar is in the middle of the restaurant which can make the place a bit noisy when busy. Giovanni, our server, was very attentive and personable.

Kristine K.

Yelp
Another first time try with friends and celebrated late birthday we had the best server I had Mary's grilled chicken sandwich was mouth watering with onions yumm and my friend had the chicken and biscuits sliders omg so good also we had brochetta alvacado and some cheese with honey and apricots this is a beautiful place lots of space to sit inside or out love the menu and drinks are elegant and upscale depending what you are in the mood for!

Jim R.

Yelp
I have been going at Revel for many years and it never disappoints. The location, the food, drinks and the service are fantastic. We had Daniel tonight and many other times and he is a fantastic server and we're always happy when it comes up to our table. Once again, great service and great ambience. Thanks.

Joel P.

Yelp
This is the second year in a row that we have eaten at Revel on New Year's Eve. Although the place was packed the service was impeccable, the food excellent and the atmosphere great. I wish I'd remembered the name of the female server we had because she was attentive to our needs and we never wanted for anything. She did a great job. We had a reservation for 8 people at 7:00 just in case management is reading this.

Robert C.

Yelp
Update- the restaurant GM quickly messaged with an apology and graciously sent us a gift card. Thank you for taking the time to reach out-

Christina M.

Yelp
Super cute place! Been here a couple of times and the food is quite delicious Great for going with family and friends! I love that they have an outdoor seating area on both sides of the restaurant What did we order!? -Little Gems: super fresh -Risotto: comfy and flavorful -Beets Salad: vibrant and delicious -Shortribs: hearty and yums -Porkchop: colorful and flavorful Cheers!

Sammie C.

Yelp
Finally made it here. Sunday happy hour??!! Seriously?? Altamont IPA, champagne and a Moscow Mule for $23!! Best legitimate happy hour we have been to in a long time.

Anne H.

Yelp
A wonderful lunch here the other day with a creative fabulous menu So many options and all were amazing . Even the desserts were a hit . Wish I didn't live in CT .

Winnie W.

Yelp
Came for their Hapoy Hour and everything was so good!! Excellent & friendly service - nice, clean, spacious and comfy environment, and the food is excellent! Very nice dining experience all around. What I particularly appreciate is Revel's welcome attitude to patrons coming just for HH. Unlike many other restaurants who offer HH but making it so difficult to actually sit down and have a good drink and a good time, My HH experience at Revel was great all around . We didn't have to fight for a seat at the bar, crowd with others in the "HH section", or "we no longer offer HH", etc. Instead, we were seated at a nice booth seating, and there were no "would you like to get some dinner too" attitude. And, the food was not "watered down" versions... they were freshly made, yummy, and were good sized portions. Don't miss their Happy Hour, it is Sun-Thur, 3-5PM. In particular, their oysters are so good and such a deal at $1.50 each during HH! We ordered several drinks; lemon drop, MX mule, etc... (all excellent), 2 wagyu sliders (very good), and the chicken slider with truffle aioli fries (not part of the HH menu but a must have - it's so so good!)... highly recommended! It doesn't sound like a lot of food but we were both full already. It's definitely dinner portion. We will be back soon for dinner! Thanks Revel!

Tracy L.

Yelp
We've been a few times lately and here's my updated review. They have a great happy hour selection, so if you can pay a visit from 3-5pm on Mondays-Thursdays, you'll find yourself with some good food and a good deal. It's nice to piggy pack off the special nights too - once we arrived for happy hour on a Monday at 4:30ish, ordered drinks and some food from the happy hour menu, then ordered the fried chicken dinner once the dinner menu started being served. We like their raw oysters, little gem salad, fried chicken sliders, steak frites, fries (without truffle oil). If we're able to do happy hour, we just show up and there's always been plenty of space. For dinner, we usually call in for a reservation since they do get busy.

Douglas M.

Yelp
Love the food. Great service. Cool place to eat both inside and out (I like the front patio better than back, better people watching) For more detailed review, see past reviews, here are some notes on the food from the last 2 trips for lunch. Spicy Wild Prawn (4 Stars) Nice crispy shrimp (no tail, easy to eat) with sauce on the bottom, really good and a little chimichurri sauce on each one. Deviled Farm Eggs (5 Star) Love the Applewood Smoked Bacon bits sprinkled on the huge whipped egg filling with Truffle Oil. One of the best deviled eggs I've had. Mediterranean Local Lamb Sliders (5 Stars) The best mini lamb burgers I've had, so good. They cooked perfectly to order, medium rare. Crispy Fresh Cod sandwich with remoulade sauce (3 Stars) The bun was dry, didn't seem fresh. The fish has some dark spots, lower quality that expected. The breading and fry was good, crispy, good texture and flavor. Some of the dishes like the Lamb sliders and cod sandwich come with homemade chips (they're ok), but I prefer to substitute for fresh vegetables. The vegetables are always fresh, perfectly cooked and served with light olive oil, Italian parsley, garlic and lemon. I've had green beans (salted water) broccoli rabe (fire roasted) and brussel sprouts (over roasted). Until next time...

Robert O.

Yelp
First time pickup order. Glad we did that. So busy, noisy. Ahi tartar was delicious. Steak frites was hot and nicely medium rare, and large portions. Excellent pick up experience. Home to a well set table in 5 minutes. Next time we'll order two appetizers and share a main.

Kaitlin B.

Yelp
Good service, great food, cute outdoor seating & very clean. Really great truffle fries & beer selection.

Dave F.

Yelp
Nestled in the heart of downtown Danville, this restaurant is conveniently located with a large free public parking lot behind it. Despite its modest appearance from the outside, the restaurant offers more seating than you'd expect. There are outdoor seating areas both in front of the restaurant and at the back, in addition to a spacious indoor dining area. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated, and our server provided excellent service. We began our meal with the tasting board. The restaurant offers eight different drafts on the menu, but unfortunately, substitutions are not allowed for the tasting board. As someone who dislikes the taste of coffee, I would have appreciated the option to substitute. We found the menu prices to be very reasonable. Since we were there for lunch, we opted for basic sandwiches. We split the meatball and grilled chicken sandwiches. The homemade chips that accompanied the grilled chicken sandwich were delicious, though the fries seemed a bit undercooked. Nonetheless, we enjoyed both sandwiches.

Diane D.

Yelp
We were shopping in the area and wanted to find a dog-friendly restaurant. This was one of the places on my list and we weren't disappointed. The outdoor space was comfortable, even though my seat was right behind the front door. Our dogs were curious about all the activity, but they settled down well even with two other dogs nearby. My husband had the pulled chicken tostadas and I had the fried chicken and house-made buttermilk biscuits. We both enjoyed our meals. It was nice that the house-made chips were not oily. The napa cabbage slaw was a refreshing side. The service was efficient, and our server was nice enough to bring the dogs a bowl of water. We'll be back to try other items on the menu. And, I'll need to leave room to try the lemon meringue tart.

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night with the boo. The restaurant was very popular but we were able to grab a table in the back patio. There's a large bar in the main dining area with TVs. The back patio seems a bit less lousy and more intimate. They have a fairly large drink menu with cocktails, beers, and spirits. The food menu also had a lot of selection. We opted for the deviled eggs, burrata, and the fried chicken sliders. Everything was so delicious. They even split the chicken order so the boo and I had separate plates to eat from without us asking! #Deviled eggs - had good flavor and a lot of filling. The truffle was a nice touch and not too overpowering. #Burrata - delicious! I loved how there were huge slices of tomato, and the balsamic was on point. #Fried chicken slider - wow. Get this. The chicken was so tender and juicy despite being fried. We also subbed out the chips for fries. Service was excellent; our dirty plates were promptly taken away when eaten, water was refilled, and our waiter was just all around very pleasant. Will definitely be back to try more of their menu!

Harvey K.

Yelp
Located in the heart of downtown Danville, Revel Kitchen & Bar is an upscale gastropub operated by famed local chef Esin Decarion, who also owns Esin in Danville and Social Bird in Lafayette. My little sis S is a huge fan of this restaurant and treated me to lunch here on 11/04/2022. We arrived at around 12:45 pm and were seated immediately at a table outside per our request. Soon after, a server came by to get us started with drinks. At the recommendation of S, I got the Fried Mary's Chicken Breast & Buttermilk Biscuit Sliders while she opted for the Avocado Bruschetta. The fried chicken sliders were absolutely delicious. The fluffy biscuits, well-seasoned fried chicken, aged cheddar, and garlic aioli worked harmoniously together to create two perfect sliders. The accompanied hand cut chips were thin and crispy. The Napa slaw provided a nice burst of freshness and was a great counterpoint to the sliders. Little sis's bruschetta was presented nicely. She told me she gets it every time. Service we received was good, but not great. Our server was friendly, but there was a mix-up with our drinks and I had to flag someone down for a refill. Aside from that, everything was very good. I will definitely return.

Mel R.

Yelp
Great service for our table of five. Food was very well executed and tasty. Reasonable prices and good vibes. Go here.

Elizabeth U.

Yelp
It was a lively Saturday evening the restaurant was packed. The food was delicious and so were the drinks. The servers somehow were attentive even with how busy the scene was. It was an interesting crowd of young to middle aged ppl and mature couples out on a date. You had all types of dress from casual to a lady in what looked like a silver metal sequin number. Definitely lots of ladies that looked like Housewives of East Bay with Botox, having a grand old time. My friends and I were impressed with the tapas style small eats. Parking was easy to find so we might come back again but this is not a place for an intimate dinner, feels like a place to go out to if you want to be seen -- almost trying to be LA cool in a small town. Either way, fun to people watch and get a drink with a group of friends.

Alissa O.

Yelp
Went here tonight with my brother for dinner. Food came out quickly and was pretty good. Server was kind, but maybe had too many tables? We had to wait a while for him to check-in (never came back to refill drink, had to wait longer for a plain coffee than an affogato). Ambiance was good- we sat in a booth near the back and it wasn't too loud. All in all, would definitely go back. I saw a lot of other dishes we'd like to try-- just have to hope for another server!

Alex L.

Yelp
First time visiting Revel Kitchen & Bar! They have a wide array of food/cocktails/appetizers, all of which are perfect for lunch and dinner. My friends and I made a reservation ahead of time so there wasn't a wait for us. We ordered the cheese and hummus appetizers, both of which were fun! The staff was super friendly and comedic throughout our time. They are also very attentive and big part of our experience. Needless to say, I would come back again! I got the chicken sliders, but I had the chance to try to lamb sliders too. Both were phenomenal! Parking is abundant behind the building. Restrooms are clean and easily accessible.
