Ace Hotel’s Big Craft Beer Weekend in Palm Springs, and More Desert News - Eater LA

"Former Spanish tapas spot Alicante has been reopened as gastropub-sports bar Revel Public House. Look for a rotating menu of burgers, thin crust pizzas, and small plates along with an extensive Bourbon and wines-by-the-glass selection. Draft beers come courtesy of the new Palm Springs Brewing Co., a collaboration between Mason Ale Works in San Marcos and Revel’s owner Mindy Reed, who’s also behind downtown’s longstanding Zin American Bistro next door." - Lizbeth Scordo

We stopped in for lunch and the atmosphere is casual and friendly, great music. Service was slow but overall very nice. They offer bottomless champagne for $8 so if you are in the mood it’s worth it. I had a Mimosa and the Big Kid Burger, it’s 1/2 pound of Wagu grass fed beef with fries and reasonably priced.

Wonderful all around! The restaurant was clean and had a cozy vibe. With several TVs we were able to watch a playoff game. The drinks were so good and pretty too The real winner is the food. It came very quickly and was absolute perfection! The burger was so juicy and flavorful. I don’t typically like sweet potatoes fries but these were actually good to me. The chimichurri sauce was the thing of dreams! Top all of this off with a friendly attentive staff and it was a wonderful dining experience.

We were stopped by the friendly staff while browsing for a place to eat who took the time to go over the menu with us. Initially we walked away, but the menu options stayed lingering in our heads, and needless to say, we’re happy we came back! We ordered the Penne Alla Vodka with Spicy Italian Sausage which was surprisingly delicious! 10/10 would order again! This pasta was better than most pastas we order from Italian restaurants which was such a nice surprise! And at our server’s recommendation, we ordered the Garlic Cheese Bread because he said we wouldn’t regret it. And quite honestly, we would have regretted it had we not ordered it. Definitely some of the BEST garlic cheese bread we have ever tried and it went perfectly with the pasta dish. It’s definitely one of those dishes that sticks with you & one we would return for. I tried the Grilled Pesto Chicken Panini sandwich. Overall, it tasted of fresh quality ingredients but more on the dryer side. We mentioned this to our server and he recommended adding a side of Chipotle Mayo and that fixed the dry issue. As for drinks, we had the endless Champagne for $9 and we got plenty of servings during our visit. We liked how they offered the juice on the side so you had the freedom to pour as much juice as you’d like. Often times other places pour the juice in the champagne and it ends up tasting more strongly of juice than champagne. Also a good variety of beers & other cocktails. Highlights of the visit were definitely the friendly and attentive service! I regret not getting our server’s name again because I feel their recommendations really enhanced our experience! We stopped by on an early Sunday afternoon so the ambiance was nice indoors but can’t speak for how it might be on a busier night. But I’d definitely recommend stopping by for a beer & some garlic cheese bread if you’re ever strolling downtown for a quick bite & drink! 🍻

conveniently located right on the Palm Canyon Strip with an unassuming demeanor this place would be easy to walk right by as it blends with the many street side restaurants and cafes. But the charm flows from the quaint patio right on into the bar making for a pleasant lively environment. It has perfect day time light providing an enticing location to slip into for a day time drink and some small plates. Slide in get a drink and enjoy the energy of Palm Springs. The bartenders are great and make straight up good cocktails. My suggestions would be a chavela and some tapas enjoyed amidst the desert heat.

Stopped in here after walking around Village Fest. Enjoyed the food. Thought the beer selection was a bit sparse for a place like this. Service was decent. Wasn't wowed but overall enjoyed our experience.

UPDATE April 2019: My favorite spot in P.S. Super service with amazing food. Added photos to post. CrAzY good food! I was in several times during my Sept '18 stay for their food, Hopz IPA and socialization. Margherita pizza, pulled pork & jalapeno pizza, mac & cheese, bbq pigletts, garlic fries, spicy shrimp and the bolognese were all freshly prepared. Staff was awesome. Alex, Lisa and Dylan were so kind. I was no longer a beer drinker until I tried the Hopz IPA. Came home and went on a fun quest to find a comparable local craft beer in the PGH area. Well...still looking! Can't wait for my return visit next month to work thru Revels' menu some more alongside the Hopz.

Service was good and welcoming. What I ordered wasn’t available, so that I choose the staff’s recommendation. Burger and pasta both were good. :)

It was a fun night out in Palm Springs and we decided to eat here. During the time that we went, they won't let you dine indoors if you can't prove that you have vaccinated. My friends really enjoyed their food and I also enjoyed my Revel burger. The portions are rather large though. Most people at the table could not finish their food. I had one of their mocktails and found that to be decent, but I think their food was better than the drink for me. The location is pretty central and a great place to enjoy filling food outdoors. If you order drinks though, the price will add up quickly.
