Chung Chun Rice Dog Opens Its First Seattle Location - Eater Seattle

"Petit Soif arrives on Beacon Hill, opening its doors Saturday. This offshoot of the popular Fremont wine bar Vif promises an easy-going, neighborhood vibe, with glasses of organic, biodynamic, and low intervention wines, such as Domaine de Reuilly pinot gris and Papa Jaja cab. Customers can even share a bottle with others by purchasing two glasses at a discount, and having the rest of the bottle posted on a chalkboard. The food menu focuses on small bites, such as Spanish anchovies, prosciutto plates, and chicken liver pate with pickled raisins." - Megan Hill

I lived at Reverie for six years. The location is amazing close to great restaurants, shops, and public transportation. For the first five years under Bonavista Management, my experience was positive. Even with the frequent turnover in management, the building was clean, well-maintained, and the staff were responsive and professional. Unfortunately, everything changed once AGM took over. The lack of responsiveness, poor communication, and unprofessional behavior from staff made the last year unbearable. The property quickly declined hallways and common areas were often dirty, the stairwells had a mildew smell, and there were recurring beetle issues likely tied to mold and overflowing trash. The garbage area constantly overflows, partly due to the restaurant next door using the apartment’s bins. Security is another major issue. Theft was common, with people climbing over the courtyard fence or entering through broken doors. The call box was broken the entire year AGM managed the building, so delivery drivers couldn’t access the property. The parking situation is also terrible. Not enough spaces for residents, tight spots, and the garage door frequently broken. At one point, AGM even sold my assigned parking spot, which caused unnecessary conflict among neighbors. It was nearly impossible to reach anyone in the office for months. When I finally did, the staff were rude and dismissive. Maintenance workers were kind but clearly overworked, and repairs often took weeks to complete. Communication with the so-called “manager” (Courtney) was nonexistent. I’m still not sure if she left or simply ignored residents. After six years of paying rent on time, I asked to move out one month early and was told I’d have to pay a $1,900 lease-break fee. While I understand business policies, the lack of flexibility and basic empathy from AGM showed me that this is a poorly run, possibly family-operated company with no understanding of customer service. I would have loved to stay if Bonavista had continued managing the property, but under AGM, I can’t recommend living here.

trying my best to share a constructive yet honest review about reverie. :) i lived here for 3 years and had really enjoyed my time there. the location is amazing - so close the link, jeff park, restaurants. street parking wasn't too bad around the residential streets except on familyfriend nights. i loved my 4th floor unit with west facing windows, esp in the winter - i had so much natural light! it was a tiny 298 sq ft studio that i eventually grew out of. i almost never had any issues with anything breaking inside the apartment except a fridge issue which took quite a long time to fix, unfortunately (they did provide a temp fridge tho). but i was able take my freezer items to my work fridge, so it wasn't the end of the world. when i first moved in, the apt was managed by bonavista. they changed property managers about 8 times in the first 2 yrs (once every 2-3 mos, sometimes 1) and then agm took over suddenly. from there, it was really challenging to get a hold of anyone to respond to any emails or issues. the elevator one time was broken for nearly 2 weeks (this is not ok w ada regulations) and packages were being stolen from the lobby. when agm took over, there was also a delay in the building getting cleaned since i think they had to switch contractors? agm also kept raising my rent, enough that i couldn't justify paying nearly $1600 for a micro studio with unreliable management. before spencer and isabella took over, we also went through several manager turn overs. it was the first time in years where we finally had quick responsive people to communicate with! it was like a breath of fresh air. they helped me w my move out process over email, and all the new agm contractors were kind and helpful with anything facility related whenever i interacted w them. even though it's bittersweet to say goodbye to reverie, i truly enjoyed my time there minus the management issues but also know that this is the norm w large offsite property management. i know there are worse out there, but i'm grateful i always had a place to come home to where i felt comfortable at though i had experienced some small inconveniences. sometimes it's sad bc we're paying so much for rent in seattle that we expect much more, yet people are human and companies also just want money. i have hope for agm and reverie, and i wish the best for the new residents! i hope that this review helps anyone when making a decision to move here. also, get to know your neighbors, create a sense of community, belonging, safety and care amongst each other. <3
