Nice local place. Short ribs are great. Oddly enough the meatloaf is worth getting. Really tasty. They have tons of specialty cocktails. Lots of friendly staff. Good for a nice family get together. Family comes for nice dinners. Creme brulee iss excellent. They have more parking in the back too. Can make reservation via opentable

My wife and I came here with another couple for Sunday brunch and it was outstanding! The chicken and waffles were over the top, crazy good! The waffles are best in town, at least for me. The chicken tenders are huge and the breading is amazing. You must come to brunch on a Sunday. It’s totally a hidden little gem! And that fried pork tenderloin at dinner! 👀

Google
Food - AMAZING Staff - Friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable Drinks - AMAZING Atmosphere - love the vibe this place gives. The music is on point. Desert - New York cheesecake so good: pumpkin bar special for the season.. so good with the touch of Salt on it. Greg, Anna and Marcelo all did an amazing job! DON’T SLEEP ON THIS PLACE… YOU ARE MISSING OUT IF YOU DO!!!

Drea R.

Google
First time visiting and ordered the BBQ Burger. The BBQ sauce has a very overpowering taste. I asked for my burger to not have any pink and it was undercooked. The potato croquettes we started with were salty, but the corn fritters and cheese curds were excellent

Amanda B.

Google
My husband & I went for our anniversary, and Sam provided great, attentive service! The food was so tasty. The short rib was beautifully tender, and the filet was perfectly cooked. We'll definitely be back for another special occasion.

Jason L.

Google
Atmosphere was great. Service was great. Food was presented well and delicious. Major problem was everything was barely warm and the twice baked potatoes were like they just came out of the refrigerator. The cheese was like they just sprinkled it out of the bag. Seen and heard other groups say the same thing. Would be a great place if they could improve that.

Paul R.

Google
Welcoming and attentive atmosphere with a unique flair of a historic hip dinner with contemporary elegance. Lots of drink options and the food had some decent flavor combinations.

Google
I was extremely impressed with how our waiter handled being the only person on the floor and took on the additional responsibility of being bartender as well. It took longer than expected. It was a long wait, but it wasn’t because of a lack of effort or ability the waiter was nice and we were pleased with our service getting us refills and boxes to go. They should really hire more people to operate the floor so that there are multiple waiters and distinct waiters from bartenders.

Yelp
I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but this place truly deserves it. From the moment we walked in, everyone made us feel so welcome. Marcello, the bartender, was incredible, not only were his drinks amazing, but he was genuinely fun to talk to. You can tell he really knows his craft. Ana took such great care of us throughout the night; she was warm, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. The chef absolutely nailed it, I had the meatloaf...it was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done. You can taste the pride and passion in the food. And Jason made the whole experience come together; he really made us feel like valued guests, not just another table. Can't wait to come back soon!!!

Yelp
My family and I had a late dinner on Saturday at Revery. The parking lot was very dark, in fact my wife sent me in to make sure it was open before she would leave the car. The inside of the restaurant was really nice, although the second door to the dining room feels a little strange. All of the staff we interacted with were really nice, however there was a terribly long delay that started with us getting seated and continued until we left. The delay on the service was just inexplicable. We got there at 7:50 and were told they could seat us in 15-20 mins. Half the tables looked to be empty but I can understand being delayed in the kitchen and with waitstaff so we sat and waited patiently. It took 25 mins before we were seated and we had to go in and ask them when they were going to seat us before they did so. No one spoke to us during the entire wait to let us know the status. When we finally did get seated, it felt like we just sat forever. Every part of dining experience felt incredibly slow. I waited a few days to put in my review so I could adjust my score from the two I wanted to give them on Saturday to the 4 I am giving them now. The food was pretty decent, I had the meatloaf which I enjoyed. The broccolini wasn't my favorite for preparation but that's my preference about lemon. I tried the Carmel apple martini which was like drinking the taste of fall, it was really good. I also shared some of the French bread with my son and I really enjoyed that a lot. Being as this is far from us and I didn't love my first experience, I don't see being back, but if you live in or near normal, I think this place is worth trying.

Yelp
It was a quite Thursday when we entered and were provided an opportunity to select our own spot in the main dining area. We picked a cozy booth and were lucky to learn 1/2 price bottles of wine! As the evening progressed things picked up and a lovely ambiance was created with the retro tunes, light conversation and delicious smells! Our food was fresh and fast and yummy. The apple bread pudding finished out our weekday dinner with a treat! Staff was very attentive and friendly. Will have to make this a weekday stop more often!

Yelp
Came here as a group for a work appreciation. The food was good and service was great. Loved their drink menu too!

Yelp
Everything was amazing from the service to the dessert. Gregory is a spectacular server. He made some great recommendations and was attentive, courteous and fun. The fried chicken was served right from the fryer, fried to perfection. Crispy breading with a perfectly moist meat. I usually don't do dessert, but I finished half of a friend's crème brûlée. Try it. You'll be delighted.

Yelp
I had a great experience the last time I was here. My tip is to come early, they were out of a few items.

Yelp
A perfect spot for celebrating a new job, leaving an old job, or just ushering in the weekend. We had reservations for 6:30 and were pleased to arrive to a bustling restaurant on a cold Friday night. Seated in the bar side near the fireplace, we had a lovely view of the room and enough privacy for personal conversation. He chose the special of the Shrimp Scampi and was pleased overall with the flavor and freshness of the shrimp. I opted for the meatloaf and broccoli. The meatloaf and sauce were tasty, the mashers a little on the bland side for me. Our appetizers of beets and poutine seemed like an odd match, but the horseradish/cream/cheese with the beets made them irresistible, and the pickled giardiniera on the poutine added a unique touch. Both were almost finished. We split dessert of a Thousand Hour Brownie and I had a peppermint martini that was perfectly festive for a January Friday. Derek was a great server, he was responsive but not intrusive, had a great smile and helped us feel welcome. We can't wait to come back.

Yelp
This place is amazing. Food is fresh, service is great and I can't forget our fave waiter Gregory from Revory. He's kind, attentive and makes recommendations.

Yelp
Great food, great atmosphere, great service! Will definitely be back. Darrick was our server

Yelp
I had the chance to eat here on two different occasions in a week. I found both consistencies and inconsistencies. First, they did a nice job updating the inside of the restaurant. It gives a nice intimate vibe that works even with small groups. I experienced two different servers and they brought great, consistent service. Friendly and helpful in talking through the menu and options. With all of the dishes ordered with the groups I was with, we really liked the presentation of the dishes. They do a nice job of serving up your food with intentionality. The part that was inconsistent was the food itself. I had salmon in two different dishes. One night it was overcooked and the other it was undercooked. Others in my group one night had similar challenges with their dish. I believe these aren't issues that should define the restaurant and hopefully just a moment in time.
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Darrick was a great server and the food was very good! Jason did a great job greeting us and keeping our water filled all evening!

Adana A.

Yelp
We were there for a special event on a Friday night and it was just lovely. The place is very classy. It has a black ceiling and is very dark inside which creates lots of ambiance. The food was delicious. I had the meatloaf and my partner had fish and fries. The place was plenty crowded and the food seemed to take a little bit to get out to us, which only gave us more time to visit.
google avatar

Jane W.

Yelp
Darrick was great! Really knew the menu, was friendly and accommodating. Our first time here since was Ozark House and it was delicious! We will definitely be coming. The meatloaf and fried chicken were so tasty - great comfort food.
google avatar

Yelp
Get the beef short rib. Don't ask questions, just get it. I guarantee you won't regret it. Been here multiple times and it's always lived up to its hype. Gregory is an awesome server as well!

Yelp
Wonderful !! Had a great time and perfect dinner. Sam was a welcoming and attentive server.

Lori R.

Yelp
Darrick was awesome! Food was great and we had a great time! Banana dessert was the best. Thank you!

Kevin C.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in BloNo. MUCH better food than Epiphany Farms. Absolutely love the short rib, meatloaf, and ribs. The fried calamari is among the best I've had anywhere. Chic decor but comfortable. Please try it!!

Brittany M.

Yelp
Do not sleep on this place!! We came here for our anniversary and had a great dinner. The food was amazing! The service was outstanding, loved the vibe, & we cannot wait to come back.

Pete R.

Yelp
Ambiance, food and drinks were all excellent. Jason was so friendly and helpful. Best Busser in the industry.

Stephen Z.

Yelp
Sam was Amazing ant the food and atmosphere were spot on! Would highly recommend!! The churro fry dessert was mine blowing!!

Arlan L.

Yelp
The service was amazing, had this guy named Derrick. HIS CALVES WHERE HUGE! He got us water and drinks quickly and kept us topped up the entire night. we got sat in this little mostly enclosed corner, super private. Food was delicious, just got the sink salad. (I got salmon on mine) Anna was the best part of the experience, she's kept this place running and made it even better. They are discontinuing the crab cake bruschetta which Made me almost start crying but the rest of the menu is so good I could be sad for long. 10/10 def recommend, ask for Derrick and his calves.

Deann M.

Yelp
We went to the Revery for the first time on a Saturday night. It was a very nice experience. We had a Whiskey flight to share and starters of house salad and calamari. It was very good and plated beautifully. We chose entrees of short ribs and fish and chips. Both were delicious. Will be bring my parents here soon!

Amy F.

Yelp
The food was fabulous! I had the Bramble on to drink and the black and blue salad, the special. The service was five star, thank you Derek!

Brittney S.

Yelp
Gregory from Revery changed our night out from dinner to an experience. Really it is unfortunate, because now every other service experience for the rest of our lives will feel subpar. We have loved.....and lost.

Rebecca K.

Yelp
I had the short rib and it was outstanding. Tender, flavorful and delicious! Shout out to Darrick for his top shelf service!

Misha D.

Yelp
food was delicious. The ambiance was wonderful! The drinks were soo good too!!! and Darrick was great!
google avatar

Bill C.

Yelp
Not quite sure that it completely pulls off the supper club vibe. I had the short rib which was absolutely outstanding. Solid service even with our group of 12. I'd go back tomorrow if I were staying in town.

Alex S.

Yelp
An absolutely hidden gem of a restaurant in Bloomington. The bar menu is extensive and has some strong variety. Have hit the place up a bunch of times, never had a meal there that wasn't top tier. Practically, safe to walk in, order the special, and have whatever amazingness the chef's whipping up, but there is no miss on that menu. We're in an "oops all bangers" scenario here, folks. Bryson's taken AWESOME care of us the couple times we've run into him, and again, all the staff are awesome, knowledgeable, and super friendly.
google avatar

H A.

Yelp
Poutine good, drinks good, salmon excellent, crème brûlée also excellent. Deco was updated but still dark atmosphere. Service was good but nothing earth shattering or at a level I would expect for $120 bill.
google avatar

Jane W.

Yelp
Very nice service. The atmosphere was good too. Really enjoyed the meatloaf dinner.

Jacob P.

Yelp
Great food and great atmosphere. Service was excellent as well. I loved the short rib. Darrick was the man!

Dana A.

Yelp
Love coming here. The food is excellent. Wonderful place for a nice evening out. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Fantastic dinner - the best smoke old fashioned, hot Brie, calamari ( honestly- the best I've ever had) - short ribs and steak along with the sides were superb!!! A must in the Bloomington- Normal

Insuranceman N.

Yelp
The entry way has a musty smell. I have the filet and it was so tough and inedible. Wife got pasta with grilled chicken. They ran out of grilled chicken so she got the filet. It was tough to cut and inedible. Couple we went with got a filet and meatloaf. The filet tough to cut and inedible. Meatloaf had some bones in it

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this restaurant for MONTHS! Everything was cooked perfectly. For the appetizer we had the crab cake bruschetta. It was delicious. I had the shrimp and burrata pasta and my daughter had the salmon for our main course. Both spectacular!! The flavors in my pasta were out of this world. We finished it with the best crème brûlée we've ever had. AHmazing! The star of the evening was our waitress. Sweet Gidget serves you with a smile, sound "foodie" advice and hustles like no other. Ask for her when you reserve your table on OpenTable.com. You're welcome!

Amanda G.

Yelp
first time. food was only ok. chicken was over cooked and salmon was not cooked well. Service was very poor the waiter was not attentive at all! However the young man doing clean up and initial water was amazing very polite! Jason sure has a future!

Norha P.

Yelp
Enjoy the ambiance. Food was great. We celebrated a birthday and anniversary and service was very good.

Mason N.

Yelp
love their drinks!!! the atmosphere is very cozy and would recommend every person to come and check out this place

Reader G.

Yelp
Limited menu and were out of short ribs and meatloaf at 6 on a Saturday night. Greeted and seated right away but had to wait to place drink and then food order. No one cleared our used glasses, had to flag waitress down for refills. Food took forever-others that were seated after us were served but not us with no explanation. Food was good but the lackluster service was a disappointment. This is an old building and the entryway has always had a musty smell which could be off-putting to some-needs to be freshened up.
google avatar

Tom D.

Yelp
food was ok. only 3 stars for service and value. the restaurant was only 30% full, but everything took super long. We skipped desert only because we didn't have another hour to wait. Why no soups? I wasn't full when we left. Ran about $60 per person with tip.
google avatar

Cath S.

Yelp
We have been to this place when it was different owner and name. Trying food since new owner. Food was good, I had mussels with curry sauce and slices of sausage and my daughter had the meatloaf was little dry texture had different taste need some seasoning and salt. Service was good, waitress was friendly. We asked if they served break, she said it cost $1 with butter we said ok we can add to our order, she brought very small 4 thin slices without butter..LOL oh well. Ambiance looks the same cosy.

Chrys B.

Yelp
So disappointed. Half the menu wasn't available and there was a super long wait for mediocre food that took over an hour to initially receive.. so to have to send it back (16 ounce ribeye) was very frustrating- especially since it took another 23 minutes to get the ribeye back! My husband and I were trying to have a romantic dinner to celebrate a special occasion but we didn't even get to eat together since his food had to be sent back. By the time his finally arrived (for the second time) my food was cold. First time going tonight; had reservation for 6:30. The young man pouring water and clearing dishes was so polite (believe his name was Jason). We didn't get out of there until 8:20. Waiter was nice but not nearly attentive enough considering all the issues, he did seem to have way too many tables so felt sorry for him but again for the cost of the meal you shouldn't have to pity the staff. Finally offered a "complimentary" dessert but given we were there almost 2 hours and late for the plans after, we didn't partake. Will not be returning.

Henri M.

Yelp
Had a delicious Thai fried chicken dinner last night. Our waitress was attentive and patient. Wonderful ambience too. And a diverse menu with lots of drink choices.

Molly E.

Yelp
One of the best meals we've had. Service was outstanding and they let us know that each dish was made to order so requests to modify any dish for dietary or personal preference was an option. The baked brie with bacon jam was delicious. I am a chefs worst nightmare because I like my steak well done. I don't know how they did it, but it was perfectly cooked and so tender and flavorful! We were too full for desert but will be back to try them out.

Catharine C.

Yelp
Food from the beginning bread to my salad and my daughter's filet to the crème brûlée was amazing. I'll definitely be back

Heather W.

Yelp
Delicious food! The baked brie with bacon jam was awesome as was the charcuterie board! Everything each of had was delicious! Definitely recommend for a lovely dinner. Service was great, also!

Sue O.

Yelp
Four of us had dinner at Revery tonight. It was FABULOUS! Great service too. We will be back soon.

Adam P.

Yelp
I had really high hopes, but was definitely disappointed. We got seated at 7:15 promptly but things didn't get off to a great start. The guy pouring waters was very awkward and silent. Sure, fine, it happens. Still was 5 stars. Then our waiter came. He was very friendly, but not very attentive. I ordered a mule and the waiter advised me it wouldn't be in a copper cup (fine) but it came in a really awkwardly shaped margarita glass, and was hard to drink out of without a straw. Then Our apps came and they were delicious (crab cake bruschetta, and brie cheese melt) but then we sat with empty drinks for quite a while, (4 stars) and the empty app plates sat for what seemed like almost 40 minutes. Eventually we were fed around 8:40 and yes the restaurant was busy, but our meals were just not that good. (3 stars) I had high hopes for my short rib tacos but the meat was dry, the corn tortilla was soggy and very crunchy on the ends and hard to eat, and just unimpressive. I could've had basic street tacos anywhere for $3 and these just didn't live up to what I expected. They need sauce and maybe better tortillas? My finance got the pork shank and the meat was alright but the potatoes were just a bit bland. Not much flavor or thought was put into it. I understand this is a "newer" place according to our waiter (who asked us to leave a yelp or google review!), but we could've eaten a lot of places and spent the same (or much less) and had a better meal. We wanted dessert but honestly didn't feel like waiting another half hour (or hour?) for the crème brûlée. We were ready to go. The music wasn't great either and seemed too loud, but also a bit obnoxious. (Benson Boone's beautiful things 3 different times? Really?) it just overall was disappointing and I regretted the choice for Valentine's Day. I hope they get better but I probably won't be back anytime soon. I understand everyone is busy and because it's a holiday, I'm feeling generous with 3 stars. If this were a weekday with the exact same experience, I'd give 2 stars.
