A year ago or so I would have given this 4 stars, but they have really improved their whole game at this point. The food has always been good at revival, and they have improved the menu over the years, and it is really rocking now. The chicken is bar-none if you like spice probably go for the Tennessee hot, if you are a masochist take swag at the poultergeist 🙂 There is many other options though, the burger and the chicken sandwich are great options but the Cubano is the star of the sandwich party. Pretty all of the sides are great options and the cheese curds are some of the best in the Cities Limited brew menu but all quality, similarly a good cocktail menu not expensive but enough. Staff is good, polite respectful and helpful Bar seating and table seating. Family friendly

We had a great first experience here last night. The service, food, and ambiance compiled to be a near 5/5 experience (to me). We went on a Sunday night around 6:30pm and it was empty - perhaps this was due to it being St. Patrick's day, but there were probably only three or four other parties in the entire place. This was a major plus, as waiting for tables is one of my least favorite things to do. They were playing early 2000s music and the restaurant felt very clean. We started with the brussels sprouts and the cheese curds. The sprouts had a very unique flavor and were cooked perfectly. We believe the curds had a honey drizzle on them, which was also unique. The batter was nice and thin, which is what I prefer. One of us got the whole bird, one got the chicken dinner, one got chicken and waffles, and I got the Nashville hot tenders w/a side of mac and cheese. We each enjoyed our entrees and the Nashville hot had a good amount of spice. Our server let us try the 'poultrygeist' sauce, which is their spiciest rendition and it was extremely hot for those who enjoy a kick. It didn't taste very good, however. The mac and cheese was good, but some bits in each of ours had some unchewable bits.. not sure if it was the top layer of cheese or uncooked noodles. If there were half stars, I'd give the restaurant a 4.5. I would take away half a star due to the pricing (plus a 6-7% surcharge automatically built in), but the food itself is a 9+/10. We will be back!

This is the first time we've visited the St. Louis Park location of Revival as we've been to other locations. It's been a while since we've visited the establishment and have to say that this location is really quite nice. Indoor dining was available, but we opted to eat outside, and with a beautiful evening, you really couldn't ask for anything more. Service was great, but the food wasn't as i remembered it to be and was ok. I will definitely come back and give this location another try, though. The parking lot is free, but it's kind of challenging to navigate.

The fried chicken is delicious, the grits are creamy and the bourbon carrots are almost desert. The prices are expensive, the additional service fee is outrageous when tipping is expected. It might be the best chicken sandwich in minnesota but 100$ for 2 people for dinner with no alcohol is excessive. We also waited over an hour for our food. Entitled pigeons and patrons on the patio. Will most likely go elsewhere next time. The honey cheese curds are fantastic, the only thing that might tempt me back.

My daughter and I had after church lunch here. The atmosphere is warm and comfy. Our service was top notch. The dishes we ordered were good. We probably won't go again but we had a good time.

Very good food! First timers here so we opted to try a few things. A single patty burger is on the happy hour menu and I've heard great things, so we shared one.. it was amazing and left me wishing I had ordered my own as my meal. Alas, we carried on with a half bird, Tennessee hot style, and shared that. The serving was massive and chicken was delicious! The white cheddar grits as a side was perfect and they were bomb! I highly recommend the passion fruit paloma, while not heavy on the passion fruit flavor, it did taste like mexico in a glass. The service was sporadic at first, our server was tending bar for the restaurant as well as serving the bar and 4 tables in the bar area. She eventually caught up thanked us for our patience, and became more attentive. This did not impact our experience at all, she was clearly over worked and we are never in a hurry, always happy to give extra time to those that need it. We were thanked with a special treat at the end of our meal as well as a verbal acknowledgement of her running around crazy like. They do add a small service fee to the tab for fair wages, not a tip, so please be sure to tip appropriately!

Nice place for food and drink with friends. I had a great blood orange margarita. I ordered the shrimp and grits my wife had chicken and waffles. We also got the brussel sprouts app and the cheddar drop biscuits which I recommend both to anyone

Updated review: Never ever order the cod! It is the most bland and boring thing you will ever have. I'm not sure why they put flavorless sauce with boring tasting collard greens with unseasoned frozen fish that taste like water. It was quite disgusting but I hate to complain so I choked it down. I had to take away 2 stars for my experience tonight. That fish was a mistake. I had to flag down the server for some spicy sweet potato sauce to make it palatable. The Mac and cheese is disgusting. It's noodles and oil with no cheese flavor whatsoever. The mashed potatoes and carrots were good. Someone really needs to fix the collard greens. They need so much work because they are flavorless. Hands down, the best fried chicken joint in Minneapolis! We ordered fried green tomatoes to start, the full bird (Tennessee hot style), cheese grits and collard greens. If you have never had fried green tomatoes, this is the place you want to try them at. They are battered and fried to perfection and placed atop fresh remoulade and topped with fresh sliced beets and micro greens. So tasty! The grits and collard greens were bland and boring. They should revamp those recipes. The star of the show is that amazing Tennessee Hot Fried Chicken! Fried to perfection and not overly spicy. The mix of sauce and seasonings is out of this world. I am from the south, and I know fried chicken. This is top 5! Kudos to the chef on this one.
