We came here to eat during the towns fall festival. The place was packed. The prices were reasonable. The drinks were great. My boyfriend loved the various beers. My apple cider margarita was just right for the season. The wings and truffle fries were good. The birria tacos were amazing. We were able to watch multiple games at once.

Google
The food/drinks are delicious and the service is unmatched. I had a larger party and they were super accommodating and nothing short of fantastic. 100% recommend and will definitely return every time I am in Morristown! Thank you Revolution!

Google
I had lunch here on a weekday, and the place was completely empty. Still, the length of the bar and the menu of beer were impressive. I'd love to return to have a drink and watch a few games. Although during a slow period, the food came out on time and very tasty. The menu was different than what I was expecting from online. However, all was satisfying. The bartender took good care of my table.

Google
I am not really sure how this is a German inspired bar or restaurant as the only German thing on the menu is the pretzel. Once the bartender could make time for me and I asked him what he recommended. He said they are good for shrimp tacos, and pizza only. He proceeded to tell me that the portions were big so I ordered the shrimp tacos. While the shrimp tacos were delicious portions were small. He never came back to ask if I would want anything else and seem to complain about how many Halloween parties the place had, and really could not be bothered at all. Its ashame neat place, but very disappointed.

The girls and I got together for brunch. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked into a nice pub. I found my party and sat. Stephanie was our server, and she was great! I got the $3 mimosas, and it was very good. For my meal, I got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. When the sandwich came out, it looked good! I dug in, and it was tasty! The bill was affordable, and I enjoyed my time!

Google
Nice patio area in downtown Morristown right by The Green. Perfect spot for grabbing drinks and apps. Great variety with 40 beers on tap. The cocktails we ordered were also very good. Nothing particularly noteworthy regarding the food, however, I did really enjoy the giant pretzel. Note: outdoor seating does close down around 9 pm on weekends.

Google
Really cool bar with a live band. Something I appreciated was how the band was quiet enough I could have a conversation. However, loud enough I could enjoy it. The beer selection is incredible with around 40 beers on tap. We only got appetizers which were good but not worth their price in terms of portions. Also our bar tender was knowledgeable and kind in assisting with our selection of beer. Something not commonly found at a taphouse woth such a large selection or beers.

Google
Over priced and below average food. Basic things like a chicken sandwich & cheesesteak sub are below average in quality and taste. The chicken was rock hard and flavorless. The cheesesteak was average and the cheese tasted very manufactured. The only enjoyable parts of the meal were the fries. The entire menu is over priced for the quality. Servers are cool and the place is generally pretty nice and clean but I would pass.

Yelp
PROS: This place was amazing. Very rustic looking atmosphere with a large drink menu at good prices. Staff was friendly and their location was in the heart of Morristown. Its big inside so there's a lot of room to roam and they serve food CONS: The pizza was very thin and not worth it. As for the bathrooms, it can only accommodate two people which causes a long line OVERALL: I would definitely come back here but certainly not for the food. I would also have to be patient with the line

Yelp
First time hanging in Morristown and we came Across this place. It was ample seating. Cool vibes. Drinks were great and food was just as good too. They had plenty variety and while they didn't show games with volume up they had some Nice size TV screens.

Yelp
It was meh. Food was alright nothing amazing. I got the "All American Burger" and it was kinda disappointing, not all that big for $18. The fries were soggy but kinda good. Definitely not worth the $7 you would have to pay for a side. Overall the service was fine, place looks cool but I'm not coming back.

Yelp
Saw a lot of reviews panning the food but honestly, the food was on point to me! We shared a Bavarian Pretzel with beer cheese, the Pepperoni Pizza, the Fish Tacos, and the Special Pork Belly Tacos. ALLLLLL delicious but also all pricey. They were tasty but I wouldn't say they were worth the price. Our server, Joseph, was so incredibly knowledgeable about the beer & gave great recommendations. He was nice, accommodating, funny but he unfortunately wasn't around as much as we'd like. I get it. He was busy with the bar but it just wasn't good to have to wait on him. The place was beautiful. Trendy, fun, spacious, and contemporary. We got there early but it filled up pretty quickly. Happy Hour was from 4-6pm even on a Friday so that was nice. The restroom needed some tending to. I could understand if it was 9pm but it was only 6:30. I'd go again because the food was good but I would also sit at the bar just so I could get more service. The highlight of the night: a surprise bagpipe appearance. AMAZING!!

Yelp
Came on a Saturday night. Decent crowd. Lots of reserved tables so we sat at the bar. Bartenders are very busy but friendly and attentive. Burger was good but they forgot the cheese! chicken sandwich had great crunch and very tasty. Over 35 different beers on tap. Good music.

James B.

Yelp
Revolution, offering a wide range of beer and bar good, charges 3% for paying with a credit card.

Anthony Y.

Yelp
Been there before had decent experience. Yesterdays experience was bad. Only one waitress for all the outside tables. We ordered appetizers with fries. She brought the appetizers out and left no plates or utensils. she was so busy, we had to waive her down to get them. The fries came out after our meal. I looked in the window and they had a dog in the restaurant she was feeding, a clear health violation. Other than the outside seating, not highly recommend going there unless they increase staffing.

Yelp
Not quite the same as the American revolution, but definitely better food than what our family fathers were eating. Worth the try.

Yelp
Came here to kill an hour, so sat at the bar to have a beer or two. Did not try the food but it looked and smelled good! Bartenders were great, very friendly, and helpful on beer selections. They had nearly 40 tap beers the night I visited. Prices were in line with other bars/taverns in Morristown, and will definitely be going back to try the food!
google avatar

Yelp
Great and friendly wait staff and bartenders. The food here is good. TVs are nice and usually always has some type of sports game on. Good place for a quick bite. Wings are very good.
google avatar

Yelp
Revolution Gastropub has a cool atmosphere, but the food is fake. The sliders were not hand made. Most likely store bought frozen patties. The short rib grilled cheese was mush. It was a sloppy joe on a Portuguese roll with not good quality cheese. I feel really bad giving a bad review, but I'm annoyed that my meal was $90 and it was not enjoyable. Even told the server, but all that was said was "sorry sweetie". Not her fault, but it would have been nice to have something taken off the bill. Not the customer service I was expecting, but I guess that's America these days. Sorry revolution gastropub, but you should start making better quality and fresher food as I think this could help you. If you're just looking to have a beer with a friend and watch a game then enjoy. They had a good IPA selection.

Yelp
Had a decent experience here the other day. The place is poppin at night on the weekend , but was able to find a nice seat at the bar. The bartenders were friendly and seemed busy. This place has a ton of beers on tap and a great selection of food to get. Ordered off the specialties menu and got a pear martini. It was strong, but tasted good. Was saddened to see they removed the Mac n cheese bites from the menu replacing them with normal Mac n cheese. Had a nice time and like how it is close to Iron bar and the new one FOMO. Definitely worth a stop by. You will have a blast, but make sure you come at a good time as tables fill up fast.

Yelp
Not our first choice for an afternoon snack and a beer but I'm glad we ended up here. We were seated immediately upon entering...always a plus. A first class beer selection and a well rounded menu with plenty of options for everyone in the group. Service was pretty good but due to the size and layout of the place, there wasn't always a waitress around when we wanted one. Nevertheless, we all had a great time and enjoyed the food. As a newly minted beer snob, I enjoyed the large beer menus on screen and had several excellent brews. I only wish I lived closer so I could visit on the regular.

Yelp
Let me start with our server Michael , so helpful and polite . The French onion soup was great and the crispy onions on top add a special presentation as well as taste , however there was a bit to much beef bullion . The garlic Parmesan wings where extremely good .. maybe they should just serve routisserie style instead of fried . But they were amazing either way . The burger was good but the truffled fries took the medal .. simply the best we've had on a while . Bathroom is just a bit to small for a place so big but overall a nice place to go hangout and grab a beer .

Yelp
Came to Morristown "en famille" with out of town guests in tow to check out a jazz and blues festival on the Green. Great music and sweltering heat eventually drove us across the street to the Revolution to chill with some brews and chow. This is a serviceable old timey style saloon -- with high, stamped tin ceilings, wrap around bar and bar stool seating throughout -- including alfresco seating for all y'all people watchers. Known for serving 40 different kinds of brews on tap -- and a bunch more by the bottle, you can select yours by number from strategically placed screens throughout the space. Plenty of specialty cocktail choices too for those so inclined. Eats consist of pretty basic bar food -- fries, burgers, tacos, salads, wursts -- you get the idea. Not gourmet -- but inventive enough (think truffle flavors and crispy pork belly) to back up the beers -- at a reasonable price point. The room itself is cavernous and loud -- so when packed (as it was on our Saturday afternoon visit) expect conversation to be a challenge. Sidewalk dining is a better choice if chatting is on your agenda. No 20oz pours here. 10 and 12oz pours are standard at $7 and up per. I ordered a 16oz pour of SingleCut IPA for an upcharge. Delicious and recommended. Top Tip: Best deals are during Happy Hour and pass up the sweet potato fries. Greasy and limp.

Yelp
Came here on Halloween with a friend. I found out that it's not a real German Restaurant, it's a Sports bar. Ok so we decided to stay for a beer anyway. I ordered a Pumpkin flavored beer due to it being. Halloween, and it tasted nothing like Pumpkins, it was very metallic. Not my preference. Very cheap tasting. So my friend and I were ignored for about 15 minutes before we could order even though there was hardly anyone in the place. The bartender was this stone faced guy (very serious or mean expression) who wasn't festive or nice in the slightest, wearing some kind of weird grey head wrap. It looked like he just got out of the shower. He wasn't kind, friendly or in a good mood at all, and I was left wondering who peed in his Wheaties that morning.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to go in Morristown, both for drinks with coworkers as well as lunch with the family (if the weather is nice for outside seating). For after work drinks, especially with a large group, this place can't be beat. There is tons of space with large tables, so you can always count on finding a spot for even a very large group. The beer menu is top notch as well. It's also a great place to eat with the family at one of the outside tables. Although outside, space is limited to tables of 4. The kids absolutely love the giant pretzel, so this place is known around home as the "pretzel place". My only complaint is that I wish there were a few more even semi- healthy options on the menu to order. Lots of heavily fried or meat/cheese based items. There are some lighter options (hummus platter), but just not much thought or creativity out into it. And then salads, but they are so heavily overdressed that they end up just as unhealthy as other items! Overall, an excellent place for beer and some indulgent snacks.

Yelp
This is a pretty good bar with an extensive beer selection and the service is solid - however the food is just not good. The nachos tasted like they were out of a bag, and an old one at that. The general tso's cauliflower was okay but a very small portion. The pizzas were truly disappointing though - they were more like flatbreads. Unbelievably thin crust - not in a good way. I'd come back for a beer but would suggest eating elsewhere.

Doreen B.

Yelp
The food was awful. Don't waste your money. Horrible experience. Short rib grilled cheese was small hard squares of meat, no way was it short ribs, roll was old and hard, disgusting. Salad was frozen. Potato pancakes were freezer burnt. GROSS. Don't go here.

Yelp
My husband and I came for some craft beers and dinner on a Saturday night. I figured every place would be packed in Morristown on a Saturday night but there was plenty of seats. I got the You don't know jack burger and my husband got shrimp and grits. My burger pretty much lacked all flavor, and even adding ketchup didn't help it. The fries were ok tasting but they weren't crisp. My husband said it was all right for shrimp and grits, middle of the road-nothing special. I liked that they had a lot of sour beer options so I would come back for that but probably not to eat
google avatar

Ari J.

Yelp
This is where you drink good beer, and eat food somewhere else. Yelp has informed me that this review needs to be longer or it will just be a tip.
google avatar

Kelly G.

Yelp
I love that they have an extensive beer list, but their cocktails are very subpar, and their service is very unattentive. My friend and I ordered seasonal flavored cocktails, and it seemed to taste like watered down tequila / vodka with a lime in it, which gave me a severe headache in the late afternoon. The appetizers that we shared, however, were delicious. About the service, we asked to order our drinks first so that we had time to look at the food menu as well, but we were never checked in with. When we asked additional staff to contact our server, they never came around. We had to try and flag him down ourselves. What's more, our bill had additional items on it that we never ordered, and I am very glad we caught them beforehand. If you expect any service other than a nightclub, you wont really find it here.
google avatar

Julia E.

Yelp
Came here with a friend Monday night for appetizers and drinks. We ordered the soft pretzel and truffle fries. Both were amazing. The soft pretzel came with beer cheese and mustard. Warning the soft pretzel is huge so definitely plan to share it with friends. They have a nice selection of drinks available. I partook in the beers. It was a beautiful night so the doors were open and we sat right next to the outdoor area. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable of the items on the menu. Would love to come back if in the area.
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
I met two other friends here for dinner and drinks. The food selection was good and what I ordered for dinner, shrimp and grits, was excellent. Except they could've added more than 5 shrimp. I asked for no old bay seasoning and they listened. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. The grits had a few lumps in it but still tasted great and was hot. They do not have a wine list. I'm gluten-free so wine is my go to but #11 on their beer list was a cider with pumpkin. And it was gluten-free. My meal was also gluten-free. We ate at the bar and the service for refill s and to order our meals was spot on. I recommend this place to anyone in the Morristown area. There were plenty of open spots at the bar or at a table. But I think the outdoor seating was filled.

Yelp
Tried this place out in the Fall while in Morristown - LOVED IT. My boyfriend and I wanted so many things on the menu that we decided to split a few. To start off, we ordered a beer flight full of delicious fall beers! Their beer selection was massive, which I love. We ordered the pierogis and the peanut butter and jelly wings (special at the time). Let me tell you, the peanut butter and jelly wings STOLE THE SHOW. Woooooow. I would order these every time if they were on the menu. They were not too sweet as you'd expect, but a subtle peanut butter flavor with a fruity jelly drizzle over the top. Must. Try. The pierogis were also amazing! For our meal we split a sandwich that was also a special - it was a chicken adobo club sandwich. I had to get truffle fries on the size also because they're my favorite! Everything was so delicious end the service was wonderful. Months later my boyfriend and I are still talking about it!
google avatar

Heather J.

Yelp
We stopped in too watch football and because I read about their vast unique beer selection. Great location with parking garage very close by. Got a table right away. Place has a fun vibe but TVs with games only on one side of the restaurant. That should be addressed. We got a flight so we can taste a few of the beers. They were all very good. To eat we had their famous pretzel which was very good. We also had the pierogis and a burger. Both were delicious. Service was average but all said and done I would go again. Just not to watch football:-)
google avatar

Sammi L.

Yelp
Great environment with good drinks and food! Definitely going to come back. Servers are also so kind and attending :)
google avatar

Adhrit S.

Yelp
I got a pizza and it was impressively tasty. Maybe it was the fresh Parmesan but it had a cheesy, umami flavor. The decor was modern with white marble which was kind of strange and the vibe was a bit off
google avatar

Timmy D.

Yelp
We had 2 green tea mules (wasn't sure there was alcohol in them, tasted like a soda , that's cool, two big pretzels , they were real good, and a Heineken ....$100.00 Foh ,was not worth that, never again
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
I've eaten here pre-covid and had a good experience. I remember getting the Bavarian pretzel and other food and really enjoyed them. Tonight, I got the mozzarella sticks to share with my friend and the cheese tasted off. They weren't crispy either which was a bit disappointing for a mozzarella stick. For my dinner, I got the Nashville crispy hot chicken sandwich and it was pretty good but it needed a sauce or something, it had heat to it but was missing spices. It definitely was missing some flavor. It was extremely loud at the restaurant, which was a bit overwhelming, my friend and I had to yell at each other across the table to hear anything. She had ordered a salad and the dressing it came with tasted like mozzarella stick grease which was quite bizarre. She asked the server for a new dressing and the new one he brought out was normal. Our server was very nice and helpful! But the food wasn't what I was expecting. Maybe this is more of a place to go if you're only looking to try out their cool craft beers.
google avatar

Ravina S.

Yelp
I had a great time here! The drinks were good and the food was yummy! The service was also great, even tho the place was packed! 4/5 because a lot of food items we wanted weren't available and we didn't love the music
google avatar

Yelp
Having come here several times (solo, date and with friends) I feel I can give an adequate review. Pros- Great beer selection (40 different ones on Tap) with a screen showing all with alco content. Good German pretzels and other appetizers. Outdoor seating when it's nice outside. Cons- not too many but it can be loud and difficult to hear people sometimes depending when you go. More of a spot for groups as most tables can be shared with anyone (as opposed to smaller tables for 2-4 people) Overall a great spot in town to grab and drink and food dlysolo or a group of friends!

Jim S.

Yelp
Food 4.3/5 Service 1/5 Drinks 5/5 Pizza was solid and had a Buffalo chicken and plain pizzas. Drinks were solid, many beers on tap. Service was rude
google avatar

John Z.

Yelp
Meatball parm sliders had more salt than the ocean. Large selection of beers on tap but none very unique.
google avatar

Veronica C.

Yelp
Great food, fast service, big tap selection, can't go wrong. Also had the chicken empanadas which were fantastic.
google avatar

Pete B.

Yelp
Order poutine, at the bar. Had 2-3 bites and although there was nothing wrong with the dish was funky and was not traditional poutine. Ask that they take it back and tried to order something else. they would take it off the bill. really for 25 french fry's?
google avatar

Alaka S.

Yelp
They have outdoor seating and it eas awesome. We ordered onion pizza nachos and beer and all the items were delicious.Service was good too
google avatar

Lauren N.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday afternoon to watch football. Pros: lots of beers on tap, cool vibe and decor, food is decent. Cons: service can be improved on...majorly. It took at least fifteen minutes for our server to come over after we were seated to take our drink order, and it only got worse from there. Once our apps finally came out (rotisserie wings and loaded perogies), the wings weren't the right sauce (we ordered buffalo, got sriracha BBQ) and had to be sent back. For entrees we ordered the bauwern wurst and 3 cheese burger. The burger was okay, it was supposed to be topped with a "special sauce" but it was missing. Props to the the fries that it came with, which were golden and crisped to perfection. The brat was tasty but came out without mustard and roasted peppers and onions (although requested). To find our server to remedy this, as well as to ask for refills was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Would I return? Maybe for a beer, definitely not for food. Also, the menu on their website is outdated - uploaded pictures of the new menu.
google avatar

Adam D.

Yelp
The brisket risotto entree and pretzel are the only two things I've had to eat here, both of which were good, but I was more interested in the beer selection than I was the food. I like that they spell out all the draft options on the digital boards, which tells me the taps rotate quite a bit. What I don't like are the bar prices. I mean, I get this is Morristown, but they're a tad out of control. The business name is appropriate considering your bill could cause a revolution. Overall, the bar service is good, there are plenty of TVs, lots of open space and the business draws a diverse crowd so those are all pluses.
google avatar

Tony M.

Yelp
Went there with a group of people, great place to be able to just walk in and get a table. A very good beer menu and bar food, pretzels, wings, pizza, sliders and burgers.
google avatar

Ashley V.

Yelp
Revolution is a great place in town when you are looking for 40+ beers. Great place during the week and even for a good Bloody Mary on the weekends. Tried many items on the menu from the massive pretzel, Mac and cheese bites to the pierogis. They are all amazing. Great bar food and great atmosphere.
google avatar

John R.

Yelp
A huge craft beer menu powered by Untappd as well. Do you check in your brew experiences? Always looking for something new like me? Well, bring up the menu in Untappd and immediately see where new beer ground awaits. (First time I have ever experienced this feature) Service was great. The bench tables work well and though upon a first glance into the room it might seem unrelated parties are on top of each other but they are not. The place, however, is loud -- as in really loud. The food is where the experience falls short. Five stars for the craft selection, maybe 2 1/2 for the food. They have some unique presentations -- like the Bavarian Burger I ordered, but in the end it just did not do it for me. Next time I would try something off the burger list and hope for a better experience on the food side.

Amanda L.

Yelp
Average at best. The spinach dip was very good, but that was about the only thing that was memorable that we had. We also had a burrata burger and then a steak sandwich. The steak sandwich was very disappointing because it just came with steak no other toppings and it was small for the price. The service was average, and we had to look for a waiter to finally get the check because we wanted to leave but overall it was fine.
google avatar

Jil K.

Yelp
We went there just to hang out as their outdoor seating area looked nice and the weather was good. We had two drinks, they were good but the loaded tater tots we ordered looked like they were frozen and not freshly made, the cheese on the tater tots was also not that great, hopefully they improve the quality of the appetizers.
google avatar

Payal P.

Yelp
Really enjoyed my time here! Went after work for some drinks with coworkers and had a blast! Our waiter was really nice and helpful when I was asking questions about the cocktails. This is mainly a beer spot but I don't drink beer so I tried a few cocktails, all of which were great! I had the apple sangria and apple old fashioned. Both were strong and tasty! Place is pretty big and has plenty of seating and a huge bar you can sit at too. Will def try the food next time!
google avatar

Deby V.

Yelp
I have to say, this place was pretty solid-no complaints. Went in with a HUGEEEE group of coworkers and the bartenders and servers (my table had Michael), were great! Had the pigs in a blanket which were goooooood and the balsamic chicken sandwich which was good too but there was a lot of balsamic so it was a bit strong... they have happy hour until 7, where they have $1-2 off of beers and $5 wine glasses. It's a pretty rowdy spot- gets pretty loud, but it's great for large parties and it looked like everyone was having a good time! They also have a pretty fun Moscow mule menu!
google avatar

Yelp
Wish no stars were an option. You couldn't pay me to go back. Should have realized why it was empty on a football Sunday. We walked in and looked at the beer list . Some decent choices. My boyfriend and I then walked to the bar (which was pretty much empty) and waited for about five minutes while the jerk behind the bar just looked at us. I saw an empty table without a "this is table service" sign and sat down waiting another five minutes while he was still trying to get our drinks. Then someone that worked there acknowledged me by saying"you can only sit here for table service" seriously ? Maybe if your bartenders didn't suck I wouldn't even need to sit here! We walked right out and went elswhere. Too many good bar choices to waste time here. I really hope they see this and teach their staff some manners and customer service.

Yelp
This place is pretty cool and the food is awesome! As a usually healthy/clean, mostly non-dairy eater, my choices were a bit limited. But if you eat pork/kielbasa, this place is a can't miss. (Oh, I don't drink beer either wah wahhh-- but they do have wine...on tap! Like, woah) The kitchen hall/ bierhaus style is just great! Nice, converted space gives it a very cool look with zero pretension (me likey that!).
