Stopped in on a whim and couldn't have loved it anymore! The server, Kierra (sp) was exceptional. Knowledgeable friendly and attentive to her guests. The food was nicely portioned and fantastic. Can never go wrong with the house barbecue sauce. The location, the atmosphere, music and ambiance of the establishment was an entire VIBE! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Google
Revolution Barbecue is an outstanding spot for anyone who loves great barbecue and a full, satisfying meal. Their ribs are excellent—tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. The selection of sides is impressive as well, with plenty of options to round out your plate. The full bar is a big plus, offering everything you need to pair with the meal, whether you’re in the mood for a cocktail, beer, or something a little stronger. Service was great, too—friendly, fast, and attentive from start to finish. Don’t skip dessert. The sweets here are amazing and absolutely worth saving room for. Overall, Revolution Barbecue delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend.

Google
Had a great experience at Revolution. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was exceptional. It was clear the person who designed each item really loved food and wanted something on the menu they would enjoy eating. The quality was top notch. I don't think I have ever had a better cheese dip than what we got with the Boiler bowl. Brisket was cooked perfect and great pieces of meat. I am very impressed and would recommend all my friends to get down and try this place out

Google
This a great little barbecue place. The food is yummy and the portions are good. They have many gluten-free options to choose from. The atmosphere is a cozy vibe. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable.

Google
We have been here numerous times and have had great experiences before our visit Saturday. The service was poor, we had to order our drinks twice and didn't get them until our food arrived. The Boiler Bowl was served with burnt chips, we would have said something to the waitress but they did not return to the table until we were ready to leave. The rest of the food was excellent as usual even if the portions have diminished since our last visit.

Google
My wife and I met our son at Revolution Barbeque for dinner on a Thursday evening. It wasn’t busy and we were seated right away. This was our first time and overall it was a decent experience. The food quality was pretty good and the portions were alright. Our appetizer (fried pickles) and meal (Rib Plate with slaw, potato salad, and cornbread waffles) came out quickly. Kudos to the speed of their kitchen staff. If there’s anything that I ate that I could highly recommend it is the fried pickles. The hostess and server did a good job. The atmosphere was relaxed and the cleanliness in the dining room was acceptable. Overall there was nothing that wowed me and made me want to come back, but I also have zero complaints. I did appreciate the variety of gluten free selections on the menu. I was a little surprised that they only had two bbq sauce options on the table, but I tried them both and they were good. I wouldn’t hesitate to return to Revolution Barbeque and give them another try, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to do it.

Tacos were great, service was fantastic! Presently surprised by many hidden Star Wars items throughout the establishment.

Google
I travel for work. The first thing I do when I know where I am go is that I look up BBQ near me. Let me tell you something!!!! Revolution Barbeque has some awesome BBQ. I need to go back to the beginning. I started with their banana nut bread old fashion. I like a good old fashion and this was old of those. Then, I had pork belly burnt ends. Very tasty! Ended it with their special. A BBQ beef rib with collard greens and cheddar cheese grit cakes. Everything was awesome. The grit cake was something new that I have never had before. Tasty and soft. If you are driving, threw Lafayette or live in Lafayette and want some really good BBQ. You need to go to Revolution Barbeque.

Yelp
The food and hospitality are always spot on! Miss the turkey though , I am excited to go to their trivia night in the near future !

Yelp
I was craving bbq so was excited to hit Revolution tonight (October, 2025). First, it's extremely loud inside. Everything is hard surfaces, so sound reverberates. Between the music and the crowd, it's not a place that you want to go and have a deep or meaningful conversation with someone. I was craving brisket, so of course they were out. That's fine -- it happens. I ordered a forgettable salad with chicken and equally disappointing mac and cheese. I ate about three bites of the salad and two bites of the mac and cheese. The atmosphere is chaotic, and it seems they have staffing issues. I would stay away from Revolution until they work out these issues.

Yelp
I want to start by saying the service here is excellent--friendly, attentive, and made me feel welcome right away. I ordered the barbecue ribs platter, and while I came in with high expectations based on reviews, I was sadly a bit disappointed. The ribs themselves were on the dry side and didn't have enough sauce for my taste. The mac & cheese was also underwhelming--gritty and loose, when I was hoping for that rich, creamy, thick traditional style. That said, there were highlights: the cornbread was really good, perfectly moist and flavorful, and the beans were delicious as well. Those sides definitely stood out. Overall, I'd say the food was decent, but the ribs didn't live up to the hype for me. Still, I'm not writing this place off--I'd be willing to come back and try something else on the menu, because the service and sides show promise. The ambience of the location is comfortable and inviting so that is also a plus.

Yelp
This is my favorite BBQ in Lafayette or West Lafayette. It is so good. (My favorite BBQ in central Indiana is Big Hoffa's in Westfield, look up my review of it. Excellent). The ribs at Revolution are smoked with a delicious rub. Great flavor. They don't fall off the bone. I'm not sure if that's because they're smoked or what. But they're good. The brisket is amazing. This is a must try. They have some kind of pepper blend rub that will knock your socks off. It's so juicy and delicious. The seasoned tots are really good and crunchy. The baked beans are fabulous. The mac n cheese is terrible. No flavor. Has some kind of Cheeto dust on top. Don't get that. They have sweet tea too. That's so hard to find now that we left the South. The nachos are excellent. We always get a half pan. Tonight the avocado was not quite ripe enough yet. It was pretty firm. Regardless, those nachos with pulled pork were delicious. Service was great on a busy Friday night. Our server was Holly and she did a great job. They also have homemade pies and other desserts. I have yet to get any because I'm too full after dinner. I think I heard a server say they were out of several desserts. The Purdue students came back this week so I'm sure this place has been hopping. If you're in the area, I highly recommend this place. You can't go wrong here.

Yelp
Solid BBQ spot with great food and casual vibes! We stopped in at Revolution BBQ and overall had a great experience. The food is definitely the highlight. Flavorful, well-cooked meats with great smoky flavor. Sides were solid too, especially the mac & cheese and baked beans. The atmosphere is laid-back and family-friendly. Get the mini pies to-go for later, you won't regret it! All in all, a great spot for BBQ lovers, we'd definitely go back for the food.

Yelp
Service was good. Attentive without being overbearing. Food...average at best. Much better bbq in Lafayette. I had the Boiler Bowl which was very cheesy and the pulled pork was good. Chips were homemade. Drinks...thumbs down. Margarita was bitter. It tasted like the lime peel was in it. I also had a vodka Tom Collins. That basically tasted like ice water. No flavor at all. Cute place, rustic and friendly. But I probably won't go back.

Yelp
First time here. Met a friend for lunch on her recommendation and it was stellar! 10/10 will dine again! Don't sleep in dessert either...take it with you for a coffee break or home for a late night snack. Delicious!

Yelp
One of my favorite places in Lafayette. The pulled pork tacos are an excellent value, hearty, filling, and tastes good. I also recommend the pulled pork tacos. Revolution has changed from counter ordering to table side ordering. I don't think you can go wrong here for food, location, or ambiance.

Yelp
Every once in a while, the Midwest surprises me with how good BBQ here can be. This was one of those times. I went with pulled pork plate and added 4 oz. of brisket and 4 oz. of ribs. All of the meats were sensational! The ribs were humongous and meaty. I added them to my plate for $6. The menu said 4 oz. but they gave me 4 huge meaty ribs that weighed more than 4 oz. The brisket was moist with a good bit of bark and fattiness. The pulled pork was also tender and smoky. It was also moist without being greasy. Solid pulled pork! There are 5 sauces and my rank would be the Apple Bourbon Mustard first (goes extremely well with pork), the Alabama White (more horseradish, went well with the brisket), the house which was a mildly sweet and peppery sauce, the strawberry habanero with a little sweetness and some medium heat, and the one I couldn't stand...the hot habanero. I like hot BBQ sauce but it had no taste except for the burn. The mac and cheese was the best side I had as it was creamy and had almost what seemed like crumbled up Cheez-its on top. The potato salad was all right except I hate celery and celery was in it. The beans were very misleading. They are not baked beans but more like a bean soup. The waitress told me they make them in a Coke and Sprite mix for a sweet and savory taste. I didn't taste the sweetness and didn't like them at all. Sweet tea is important to me as I'm from Alabama and at times, it is very difficult to find really good sweet tea in the Midwest. Revolution fresh brews their sweet tea in house, which makes a huge difference in sweet tea. Now it wasn't as sweet as I would like but it certainly got the job done as it was sweet enough to be good and very refreshing. I would order it again. Revolution gets the most important part of a BBQ joint right and that's having outstanding meats in good size portions. The sweet tea was enjoyable. The mac and cheese was terrific and the sauces are overall pretty good. The beans and potato salad weighs it down for me. I wish I could rank it a 4.5 but I gave it a 5 for how delicious the meats are.

Yelp
Everything was amazing! Staff was wonderful, food was fantastic, and the cookies were incredible! I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
They sat us outside quickly. Napkins, utensils and straws accessible on table. Brisket + GF cornbread were our favorite items! Their whisky sour cocktail was great, a little Smokey which was nice touch. Cute town for a roadtrip out stop. Sorry I only have pics of ambiance! HUGE inside with party room, main dining room and bar

Yelp
I really truly want this place to be amazing, unfortunately it continues to come in at "good enough". Firstly they are association with Sweet revolution, a world class bakery in town and one would hope that the talent exhibited there on a daily basis would make its way over, but it just doesn't. Revolution barbeque is located in the heart of downtown. The overall ambiance is great, outdoor seating is available during the armed months and they have a great bar attached with a good selection of beer and rotating craft cocktails. The staff is always happy to help when they can, but I've always gotten the impression that management limits their abilities to solve problems for customers at the lowest level possible. This is just based on issues that we have had in the past that required a managers attention and I was told it would have to wait for the general manager to be available. From my service industry experience, this is about three levels of management too high for simple problems like a poorly made dish that requires a refund. The main issue I have is the food. The menu is everything you could ask for or expect at a barbecue restaurant, but the execution is consistently lacking. The brisket is usually left as a primal cut with the point and the flat still attached. Unfortunately this usually results in only one half being cooked properly and the other being dry or chewy. With our most recent order to go, the grit cakes were stacked such that only half of them were sauced. Also, none of the sauces were labeled which is a problem when they aren't as visually distinguishable as they probably should be. The Mac and cheese is consistently grainy, likely because there is too much flour used in the roux base. Again, I really want to like this place. It's local business, it adds to the community. But if you want consistently good barbecue, head to the east side of town for better options.

Yelp
The nachos were good. I also ordered a brisket taco and the brisket was extremely salty. I asked if I could change it out for a chicken taco and was told it wasn't an issue. The chicken taco wasn't anything to order again. When I got the check, they still charged me half price for the brisket taco. I wish that would've been communicated prior to me ordering the chicken taco.

Yelp
I can't walk into this place and not be hungry. The smell hits you at the door and my mouth waters. I know that whatever I order, it's going to be good, and not just good, excellent. Tonight I chose my cocktail first and went for the Elusive Dreams, a pineapple forward cocktail that was sweet and delicious. Paired with the Pulled Pork Tacos (American Style) it was superb. The staff was friendly as always and accommodating to the fact that my dining partner and I stayed a bit after close (we were lost in conversation, but eventually picked up on the clues). I love coming here and I hope you do too.

Yelp
Delish bbq. Cute atmosphere. We got happy hour cocktails that were yummy, delish, and only $4! Teeny though. Pulled chicken, brisket tacos, 3 meat sandwich were great! Great service.

Yelp
There is one word to describe this place...amazing. The staff was amazing, the atmosphere is amazing, the drinks are amazing and the food is amazing. There is free street parking near the restaurant that has a two to three hours time limit depending where you park. The restaurant is dived into two areas a dining area where you place you order and has tables/chairs and bar seating. The other side of the restaurant is the bar area where they have hi top seating, tables and chairs and a full bar with seating. The bar has a decent signature cocktail menu to select from and the bar tender was very friendly and helpful. You will see a television off to the side of the bar. There is smooth music playing throughout the restaurant. This place serves your basic Q such as pulled pork, wings, turkey and ribs, but their signature meat is their brisket and that is what I ordered along with a side of waffle fries and soda baked potatoes. The place also offers desserts sides, appetizers and homemade drinks. Their strawberry lemonade was to die for. You should definitely check out their daily special on the board. They also make their own barbecue sauces which include Peach Bourbon Mustard, house, hot and my favorite Peach Habanero. It took about 10 minutes for me to get my meal and it was absolutely delicious. The brisket lived up to the hype. The Texas toast that came with it was exceptional good too. The beans were good, but they were not the type of beans that I was expecting or was use to. It was more like a stew. This meal was so good that it had me looking around for a witness and someone to tell how good it is. You know, head nodding good. I really enjoyed my meal here...like really, really. Anyway, I highly recommend checking this place out for a good meal, extraordinary service, and a great atmosphere.

Yelp
I have been here few times and was always happy with food and service. Even celebrated my son bday there this year . . Today was bad overall . I had to ask 3 times in order to get just water after sitting for more than 15-20 min . The food was so dry and burnt . If I was by myself I just leave . The food should not be serve at all should directly go to trash . I told the waitress and she said she told the owner. I did not order beef jerky's . The quality of food was so bad . I spend good amount of money for the food that should not even be served
google avatar

Yelp
In the regular rotation and always our first choice for barbecue. Brisket and soda beans are favorites. The house made sandwich buns are good enough to eat by themselves. Love the bar and its beer selection.
google avatar

Alexandria J.

Yelp
DELICIOUS! We loved all the bbq sauces, the brisket was super tender and well cooked, Mac and cheese was a big hit for us, our server Olivia was very sweet. Very chill and laid back place, I love all the oldies and classics playing. Definitely a place we could become regulars. Our only gripe would be the sides being a little small but besides that it checked all the boxes.
google avatar

Tyr M.

Yelp
Absolutely the best place I ate during my recent visit to Lafayette. Warm staff, and incredible bbq meat. I had the brisket ala carte, homemade sausages and vinegar coleslaw... I'll be back.
google avatar

Chet M.

Yelp
Blown away!! Our son is a Junior at Purdue and I can't believe we didn't try this place sooner. Hands down one of the best experiences we have ever had in Lafayette or anywhere for that matter. We will 100% hit this place every time we are in town. Before I gush about the food I have to say the waitstaff are the nicest and most helpful people ever...seriously! The gentleman that waited on us last night was super polite, have helpful recommendations and offered up to traveler sodas and waters (which we declined but was so nice to offer). Now for the food, three letters...OMG! We started with one of the specials, a Boiler bowl which was queso, brisket, pico and fresh jalapeños served with pita chips. This was a special but it should be a required food group for everyone. It was absolutely OUT OF THIS WORLD good!!! I am a queso fan and this was the absolute best I have ever had. Please make this permanent! We had a brisket sandwich, a platter and a chicken platter. All came with plenty of food and as everyone knows the sides round out the meal. Well these sides crushed it! Seasoned tater tots (yum), Mac and cheese (yum), vinaigrette coleslaw (yum) and we went with the cornbread. Honestly it was too much food but we gave it a valiant effort. The meats were nice and moist and when paired with the sauces it was super delicious. Have been to soooo many bbq places where the brisket is dry as leather and this was not the case. Couple final points. Could have used more onions, think I only had one sliver on my plate, same with pickles. Also, I hear there is a horseradish based sauce but we didn't see one of those on the table so bummed I didn't try that. Liked the Star Wars influence in the place, subtle but it was still there. Nice ambiance to the place. Took a couple pictures after we had started...we were hungry and once we tasted the food it was hard to stop. Outstanding!!
google avatar

Yelp
Revolution BBQ is conveniently located on Main St, downtown Lafayette. This casual spot is equipped with a counter for you to order from. Once you order at the counter you're given and number and it's open seating. There is also a full service bar area. The BBQ here is great and I love that you can choose to get your tacos "mexican style" with Pico or "american style" with fresh grated cheddar Cheese and slaw. They have a wide variety of hearty sides to choose from as well. Some of our favorites are the Totchos with pulled pork, any of the tacos, the potato salad, and their specials are always great. This is a wonderful staple to have downtown.

Katie P.

Yelp
I've really tried to give this place a chance, but the super slow service overshadows the good food. The wait staff is nice but the time it takes from being seated to ordering to getting someone's attention for the check is beyond slow even when the place is near empty. Would not recommend coming here on a lunch break. The last time us gals came for lunch the place smelled like raw sewage. We asked the waitress what was up and she claimed she couldn't smell it? Pros: Meat is tender. House BBQ is really good! Cole slaw is very creamy. Mac and cheese is great. If you have a lot of time to kill, it might be worth checking out and having a meal.
google avatar

Joseph D.

Yelp
I stopped in after the lunch rush and sat at the bar. The special today was the Nachos but I saw the pork belly on the menu and had to go with that. Great decision. Very tender and crazy flavorful. Great value for the price. Definitely check this place out.
google avatar

Ian C.

Yelp
Service- Service was okay. I'm new to Lafayette and ce in alone, so possibly why didn't get Service like if I had come with a group, but wasn't bad. Food- Ordered the pulled pork (plentiful and tender), seasoned tots (crispy!), and slaw. All were good and came with perfect amounts. Sauces (both house and strawberry habenaro) were great! Clean and great price for portion you get!
google avatar

Dan H.

Yelp
Visited around 1130am on a Friday and just beat the lunch rush. As I was leaving at Noon, the place was filling up. The street in front of the restaurant was being worked on and the smell of asphalt seeped into the dining room a tad, however the smell of BBQ was stronger!!! I had been here for drinks on the bar side and had not eaten here before. I ordered the pulled pork and mac and cheese. The portions were definitely enough to fill me up. I used their House BBQ sauce and it had just enough sweetness in it. The bun was well toasted. The mac and cheese was very tasty as well. It is fun to go here and close my eyes and remember it as Spurlocks. They have done such a wonderful job updating it and making great changes inside. (They did leave the engraved signs on the restroom doors which is a nice Spurlocks touch) The service was good and the food was excellent. I look forward to dining here again soon.
google avatar

Anoria W.

Yelp
Revolution BBQ is one of the best BBQ places in town. The delicious food, inviting atmosphere, and quality service exceeded my expectations. Loved all the different BBQ sauce options and the pulled pork plate with cornbread and two sides was a great amount of food! We will definitely be returning. Carly went above and beyond serving us during our visit! This is certainly a must try in Lafayette!
google avatar

Brett K.

Yelp
The food was all pretty good, solid 8/10. The mac and cheese was my favorite. The crispy pork belly had a really nice bbq sauce and you could tell that they cook that thing for a long time. Best fried pickles i've had in a while too. The tacos are pretty good, just a little pricey at around $5. The service was a 6/10. Our sever wasn't necessary mean, but she was a lot more preoccupied with her table outside, rather than my table. To be honest, my table consisted of two high schoolers so I don't blame her for that. Our table was pretty much soaking wet when we sat down, so the hostess/host definitely spilled the drink when bussing the table. Overall it wasn't a bad experience and the food was pretty good.

Michael K.

Yelp
Ate brunch here today. Was soooo yummy. Only complaint I have is the waitress Aniyah never asked if we wanted refills on our coffee. Brought our bill and passed our table many times before you took my payment. She was more worried about standing at the cashier stand chatting with other employees than tend to customers.
google avatar

Yelp
Highly recommend this place! It's so worth the price that they offer. Super filling and delicious. Service was amazing. Lots of seating as well!

Yelp
A M A Z I N G!!! Ordered brisket, ribs, mashed potatoes, smoked veggies, beans....for a tailgate party at Purdue. They delivered on time, set up the food and our friends and family LOVED it! Nicole was great to work with and highly recommend Revolution Barbeque! Boiler Up!!
google avatar

Dori M.

Yelp
Treats employees very poorly! Food was mediocre. Best thing about the place was Michael McCarty making up amazing cocktails. Won't be going back since he's no longer there!
google avatar

Amy S.

Yelp
Back in Lafayette, and this place is still the best!! Ordered tacos tonight, and they were fabulous. The strawberry lemonade was fresh, and the service on a busy Saturday night was still attentive. Here's a photo of dessert, the tacos were long gone.
google avatar

Hannah F.

Yelp
Tonight was my second time at Revolution. I enjoy the exposed bricks, the fast casual or sit down and order choice, and the bar area. Both times I have had the Mac and cheese and I will continue to get the mac and cheese. It's so creamy and delicious. The sweet potato waffle fries are also crisp and tasty. The first time i visited I had brisket tacos and tonight I tried a brisket and pulled pork taco. One "American style" and one "Mexican style." My only compliant is that both times the brisket has been pretty dry. I also ordered a Paloma and it was not great. It was not very cold and was quite sour. It was also not on the menu, so I should have gone with one of their menu cocktails. (Live wind learn) The server was sweet, the atmosphere iwas casual, and the Mac and cheese was worth visiting. I just need to figure out a different meat option.
google avatar

Diva D.

Yelp
I cannot sing the praises of this restaurant enough! Fantastic customer service, food and ambiance. We have ordered take-out numerous times and have always been pleased with big portions of high-quality flavorful food. We ordered our Thanksgiving brisket from them, and it was amazing (even the non-brisket lovers in the family were amazed by it!). The BBQ sauces are crafted in-house and even their basic house sauce is bursting with flavor. For an extra kick, try the strawberry habanero (which pairs well with the American style pulled chicken tacos). The service is always friendly, and I definitely feel like the staff are always appreciative of every customer that comes through their doors. Revolution is well-worth the trip downtown!!!

Heather S.

Yelp
Went there yesterday for the first time with My husband. We had an absolutely amazing time and an even more amazing waitress named Christine. She was so kind and on top of everything. She was as sweet as could be! She made the experience absolutely amazing. The food was absolutely divine and she wasn't wrong about the s'mores pie it was to die for! Christine if you're reading this thank you for such an amazing experience!

Shelaiah K.

Yelp
I absolutely love the brisket melt in your mouth !! Grit cakes are phenomenal!!! Nachos are always a good bet as well !! Highly recommend the pork belly appetizer!!!
google avatar

Nunions B.

Yelp
I was disappointed on my most recent visit. Pulled pork was chopped up little pieces. No smoke or rub flavor. Out of grit cakes.

Bill G.

Yelp
This place is amazing, some of the best BBQ, I have had in years! This would be a weekly must, if I lived in the area. Great service, nice ambience, and above all, amazingly good BBQ.

Julia S.

Yelp
Now I'm from New England but this is the best greens I've ever had. This place is cute and friendly. This place has spicy food if you want, But you don't have too I can't say that for other bbq spots. It's great what else can I say.

Yelp
Finally got to try Revolution BBQ! I came here for lunch with a friend. We had both heard great things and wanted to avoid the dinner rush. I've heard they can get super busy. Atmosphere is great! Lots of space in the building. Industrial feel and cool bar area. Menu is nice, with some delicious sounding appetizers and sides. I had the brisket taco, pork BBQ taco, Mac-n-cheese, and featured lemonade. Damn. The Mac-n-cheese was spot on. Tacos were very good, but I liked the pork one the best. Sauces are tasty, but wanted more heat. Strawberry habanero is not spicy at all. My friend had the smoked chicken sandwich, sweet potato fries, and a bourbon pecan chocolate pie to go. She enjoyed her food. They make house buns for sandwiches! Overall, awesome experience. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This place was hit and miss for me. It had a nice atmosphere. Very American, BBQ, rustic. The kid's meal is not very kid friendly (at least the chicken as the meat) they give a half of a chicken with a side. That was A LOT for my 5 and 9 year old. The kid's chicken was TO DIE FOR though. Seasoned so well and so delicious. I couldn't stop eating it as I was prepping it for my 5 year old. I got the brisket with bourbon bacon baked beans, Mac and cheese, with cornbread. The brisket was juicy, but not super flavorful. The Mac and cheese tasted good, but the sauce was grainy. The baked beans I couldn't even eat because I tasted too much bourbon. The cornbread was pretty darn good. The employees were very pleasant, and helpful. Next time I go, I'll get the kids meal chicken for myself haha. I was bummed they ran out of sugar cream pie and pecan pie. Maybe go early if you want some good desert. I'm definitely willing to give it another go

Yelp
My daughter told me about Revolution BBQ and that I would like it, so finally we went. The place is divided in two sections. On one side, you order at a counter for take out or sit in. On the other side is table service and the bar. Seating is pretty limited in both. I ordered the brisket plate. The meat was juicy and tender. I ordered baked beans and mustard greens as sides. The greens were tasty and the beans had plenty of meat and were a bit spicy. I also got the cornbread that comes as a cornbread waffle and it's moist and delicious. My companions ordered pulled pork plates which were full of taste and tender. The potato salad is unlike any I've ever had and is amazing. Our server was great and helpful to us first timers. I'm ready to go back!

Yelp
Food was decent, I had the nachos and my husband had the brisket. Good portion sizes and presentation was nice. Service left a lot to be desired. We waited for about 10 minutes to get a menu and there were only 3 other people in the restaurant. Once we finally ordered, it didn't take long to get the food. I had to go try to find someone for drink refills and when I couldn't find someone, I refilled them myself. Finally a waitress came back into the dining room and I asked her for more ice. The other waitress with her rolled her eyes! Seriously??? When we finished our meal, my husband had to go ask for a box and the bill at which time the waitress told him to go ahead and sit back down and she would bring him the bill. This could be a pretty good place, but you need to make sure your staff is aware that the customers in the dining room need to be attended to first instead of standing in the back room chatting loudly. We were not the only customers who received poor service today. When we left, there were dirty tables that had not been tended to.

Yelp
A must stop for those of you in the area. The owner took my order and was pleasant and interesting to converse with while I was waiting for my order. His sister owns a GF bakery down the road so he stocks gluten free mini pies in his shop. I ordered the pork meal with two sides, I did an up charge to get the gluten free fried pickles and then chose the homemade creamy coleslaw. This coleslaw was better than any in KC I have had ( and yes I live in KC). He has four sauces, habanero strawberry, a white one, a regular and I can't recall the 4th. He makes all of his sauces, including ranch in house. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and would order this again. It lasted me two meals with the amount. The emails also come with a quarter piece of a "cornbread waffle" which is gluten free. Yes! Gluten free! Just amazing. This is in the downtown area of Lafayette so parking may be tricky during peak hours. You walk to a counter to order, there are more than enough tables and can accommodate large groups. There was also a bar, they incorporated the original brick in the building for a nice homey feel. Must try if popping through Lafayette.

Yelp
Because we are such regulars at Sweet Revolution, I had been hearing about this place for quite a long time. We finally made it out here! It had cute outdoor seating as well as plenty of indoor seating. I love the exposed brick and industrial vibes. They even serve their beverages in mason jar mugs, which is a plus for me. The prices for the food were very reasonable. The girls who took our order and served us were nice but unfortunately, there were some issues with our order. I asked for the pulled pork sandwich initially and was told that they did not have any pulled pork or brisket because of it needing to be slow-cooked overnight and someone forgot to do that. So I went with the chicken sandwich and my boyfriend ordered the turkey plate. We were given a number and our drinks and we sat down. A few minutes later, a different employee came over to us and told us they were also out of turkey, so we ended up ordering a chicken plate. To be fair, it was about an hour until they closed, so I understood them running out of things. The food was good overall. I liked the hot barbecue sauce and the mac and cheese was pretty standard, with the bread crumbs on top being a nice touch. The flavor and texture of the chicken was solid. I sincerely believe we came here on an off day with unforeseen issues, and I would be willing to return on a better day.
