13 Dynamite Dog-Friendly Bars and Restaurants in Portland - Eater Portland

"The Washington High School dog park begins right where the patio ends at Marthas; however, while Marthas remains closed, Rev Hall is still serving burgers, salads, cocktails, and plenty of beers on tap on the patio. Customers can take dogs out into the dog park while they wait for food and drinks, where they can find water bowls for a post-fetch cool-down and doggy bags for taking care of business." - Michelle DeVona, Brooke Jackson-Glidden

This is a fun music venue. Several bars are in the building. For general admission, as long as you were tall I think it works very well. There is a little bit of slope to the floor in the back so if you were shorter, I would recommend trying to get to the front. Sound quality has been reliable and good. The last two shows we saw there were excellent. building itself is a little strange as it’s an old school I believe. It’s definitely a mixed use building with some businesses Incorporated into it as well. The bars that serve drinks outside of the music venue area allow you to bring the drinks into the music venue so it works well from that standpoint. all in all if you have a band that you like that is coming to revolution Hall, I think it is a good experience. I haven’t tried the food there, but I really don’t think that is why people end up going there.

Arrived early for the JJ Grey & Mofro concert—about a ten-minute walk from Jupiter Next Hotel where we staycationed for the night. Ordered a Hazy, an IPA, and fries at the bar. Sipped our beers while waiting for the fries at the pick-up window. We went to the rooftop bar with our drinks and fries. Great city view and seating options. Perfect evening for outside. Ordered another IPA round at the rooftop bar...frosty metal cups. Nice! The fries: Thin like shoe string—dry, no potato-inside because too thin—not great. The venue and concert: awesome. Looking foward to going back for 80s video dance club in July.

Saw the amazing John Butler here! Lovely venue...nostalgic as it was probably once a high school, complete with chalkboard. Great bar and very good acoustics.

I had a blast. Great venue, easy to get to, I took public transportation from Beaverton. Always great sound and easy access bar, with awesome staff. The only drawback is how warm it can get and how there always seems to be one couple talking in the middle of a song loudly yet nowhere near the back or in the hall outside. Cheers! Bayside rocked our socks off to boot, as is tradition. The first picture was an hour before the show, the second was sound check.

This is a class act venue for music. The staff was absolutely amazing. The building is beautiful , and there are lots of different options for food and libations. The service is great.

Flew here from Vegas for the first time to see Kim Deal, and to visit Portland. This venue is very intimate. It’s a little confusing as to where the entrance to the actual venue is,, and the sections, but venue staff and the people of Portland in general are very nice and helpful. I actually forgot I got a balcony ticket. If I’d gotten GA I could e gotten a front row rail spot. But that’s ok. I happened to get the front row, center seat next to the reserved seats (which nobody showed up for btw 🤨) so I had a perfect view of the venue and probably the next best spot to being up front of the stage. Sound was good except at times when Kim was talking, I don’t feel it was loud enough nor clear enough. Great little venue. Definitely go if your favorite artist/band performs there.

I have seen a show at every venue in Portland (seriously) and I’ve always said they need to make a Roseland that is seated. Never had the prompt to go here until The War and Treaty. I got to say, one of my favorite concert venues now. It was just amazing. Also, the food, amazing. The chicken sandwich was easily the best one I’ve ever had. Staff were super nice and engaging. Just an all around great experience.

I've been attending shows at Revolution Hall from the first year it opened so I felt it needed a review. We were here for a bite to eat followed by music on Sunday, 8/10. Despite sweltering heat outside, the fellows checking ID's and tickets and stamping wrists were charming and friendly. Inside, we were able to find a table and our dinner came up promptly and was very good. The bartenders here are patient with everyone yet are also very efficient and the lines move quickly. Inside, the venue is just the right size, in my opinion, with good views and acoustics and typically enthusiastic and appreciative crowds. Portland is lucky to have this venue..kudos to the staff and management!

Yelp
I was here last night for the Powell's Henry Winkler event and I wouldn't mind coming back for another one. A few days before the event, I drove around the place, scoping out the parking situation. Unfortunately it didn't look good. I was extremely worried about getting there and not being able to find a parking place (aside from being nervous about being in the same room with Henry Winkler to begin with!), so I ended up taking an Uber from my hotel. It turned out to be a great decision, even with the extra money. I arrived super early and was hoping to relax in the Show Bar and just read before the event started. A lot of people had the same idea that I did, but I got a root beer and went to find a seat. I was disappointed that most of the seats were barstools, which, given my mobility issues are extremely difficult for me to climb onto. But after a while I managed. Not a mark against the place at all. It is, after all, a bar and a nice one at that. Plus they were having a private party in the room adjacent to it, but I'm guessing that when they aren't having a party, that room is available for seating. Anyway, I love this place! It's seriously cool and although I was very confused after I followed the signs to the theatre, I stopped at a place where an employee was sitting and he directed me upstairs; even told me what elevator to choose in order to get up there faster. I wasn't prepared for how cool the auditorium is. I was worried that, being in a balcony seat, I Wouldn't have a good view. My seat was on the left hand side, first row balcony. I had a perfect view of the stage (and Henry). I'm pretty sure that there's not a bad seat in the place! Afterward, I went back to the Show Bar (I was majorly star struck after having my picture taken with Henry Winkler!) and had another root beer. I was happy that most of the crowds were gone and I found a place in a booth to sit. The staff at the Show Bar was pretty nice. I had looked at their menu earlier, intending on eating, but my stomach was pretty tied up in knots. However, I want to come back on a future trip to Portland to try their food. It looked amazing.

Yelp
I just had to leave a show I paid for, was anticipating , and wanted to attend due to poor communication at every level from ticket description when purchased to mixed communication and absolute incompetence on the staff level at the event. I arrived at the venue to see Belle and Sebastian on 5/18 at 5:30 PM, paid for parking and ate at the show bar then went upstairs at 6:00 pm and was second in line for seating in the balcony. A staff member came up (when the lady in front of me and my wife and I were the only ones there) and said to line up to the left of the door by the trophy case, nothing about not being able to get the ga seating that the poorly worded ticket said was available in the balcony. Then 10 minutes before doors open at 7, a bald employee came up and announced to me and the large line of people behind me that balcony was only for people with minors or people on the ADA list. We all went downstairs to the back of the line and the long haired attendant taking tickets at the main entrance went to the back of the line of people who just came down from the balcony and told everyone behind me "hey there is another door on the other side of this hall. " so everyone behind me beelined over there. We got into the small floor area and looked up at the empty balcony. My wife was visibly frustrated and unable and unwilling to stand for an opener and headline act (why we got there so early to ensure we got seating) and so I agreed to leave. We were advised to stop by the box office and the curly haired blonde employee there said he understood, and was on my side but offered no solutions, he said we could get ADA seating, but I informed him the bald gentleman upstairs said we had to be on the ADA list and he said "oh". He said he understood but could not offer a refund and said that they have to make sure there is enough seating for minors. This is not a hardcore punk or metal show, it is a chamber pop legacy act who has been around for 30 years. Most of the people there were my age or older. My wife and I were not the only ones who left in frustration. I have been to several shows at Revolution Hall, did not request a refund for a show that was cancelled during the pandemic because I wanted to support the venue, but this is the first show I have been to here since the pandemic. I have never had such a frustrating experience and my Wife and I really wanted to see the show we paid for. I was looking forward to this for months. This was my favorite venue in town. I unfortunately will never be returning

Yelp
Highly recommend to end your night here. They have one of the best fries I've had. It's thinly cut and extra crispy. Enjoy it with their selection of beers and cocktails. It's such a unique location and full of good vibes. Definitely take in the gorgeous city views at the top! They do close early but it's worth it to take in the city life. Parking is available in the lot or street parking. Not too hard to find.

Yelp
This was my first time at Revolution Hall which was pretty amazing from start to finish. I was expecting... I really don't know what I was expecting but I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and easy to navigate the space is. It's appreciated when I don't feel like I need an instruction manual or am overwhelmed and confused trying to navigate a space or just trying to get in a door. This happens at a disturbing number of spaces and I am ADA so that gets pretty exhausting. I was very hyped to see Tangerine Dream since I was born in the 70s. Some of my favorite music was written and performed by Tangerine Dream such as Risky Business - Talk about a sexy piece of music. The movie Thief, genuinely that entire soundtrack is just, well, it makes the movie... it really does. You can't breathe, it's so good. Tangerine Dream was amazing and my seat was perfection - they have a great ADA section and I had it completely to myself! The vibe of the space is pretty great and the sound was incredible. seating looks pretty great from where I was sitting and seeing the crowd. I look forward to more shows here.

Yelp
I never make reviews on google, but the audacity of this place left me with no other option. This place doesn't even deserve a single star. At least not the staff members. I purchased tickets to see Avi Kaplan yesterday night, 8PM. I go with my friend, we have a single drink at the venue (he tipped the bartender well, mind you, you can ask him. He's the one in glasses that worked last night around 7:30PM.) My friend chats with the people at the bar, and everyone was laughing and smiling. Having a great time! We then saw the opening show and left during the intermission to walk around and enjoy the weather. We come back to show our bracelets to the entrance staff to then be told that my friend was being "rude to his staff and cannot be let back in." I noted every single one of my friend's interactions. He is very social by nature, makes friends wherever he goes, and would give you the shirt off his back. I am the opposite, very introverted. People around him were laughing and drawn to him, that's just who this guy is. We chatted with people, he asked where the bathroom was at one point, and where he could get good food. That is what I stand by, truthfully. In NO way, shape, or form, was he rude to any of the staff members. He never uttered a bad word, not even anything that could be taken out of context at all. I was highly disappointed and angry that he faced this sort of treatment. I was allowed to go back into the venue again, but at that point I refused to enjoy service at a business that discriminates and kicks people out for zero legitimate reasons. I wasted money on these tickets and traveled from EUGENE, OR which is 2 hours south, to not even enjoy the concert. We drove back irate. I will never be attending this venue again. It is highly unfortunate because we were enjoying ourselves up until that point. My single jack and coke was made well, pepperoni pizza was great, parking was accessible and easy to navigate, but the staff? Yeah you need to hire new staff members. Maybe ones that don't discriminate would be a start. Wish I could get my money back from this horrendous place, but I probably won't since I got the tickets via a 3rd party site. If you want a place to relax and have fun, this won't be your venue I guess if you're from out of town.

Yelp
We went to revolution hall on suggestion of my newly 21 year old niece. She wanted to show us a rooftop bar. It was cool. The views of the city were amazing. The roof top is open seating, the encourage everyone to share the table space, family style. We didn't get any food, but to get some you had to go down to the first floor to order it and bring it to the roof top.

Yelp
Event Concert: Emily King & Joseph Solomon Pros: off rip, I was expecting to stand all night. This venue has seats throughout the entire venue. When I say I am ecstatic about that listen!!! This venue is an intimate setting so I thoroughly enjoy that. The mics were on tonight!!!! I could hear all of the artist crystal clear. Cons: the venue does smell like food, which can be a pro or con depending on who you ask. My other issue is the lights. There were a lot of flashing lights. For those with medical issues this could pose as a problem. Not sure if this is the artist design or the venue. Perhaps some type of notice would be helpful for the flashing and strobing lights.

Yelp
I attended a standup comedy show here and upon arriving, I was a little confused as to where I was actually going--a concert/event venue or a high school. Apparently it's a school of some sort? So don't be confused when the facilities look very much like a high school. The sound here in revolution hall is great however, I hate how they close the bar for drinks after the start of shows. Kind of annoying when you want another drink later or skipped the long lines prior to the show. Otherwise, great venue for such an odd location and bar hours!
google avatar

Michele L.

Yelp
Beware! If it's a general admission show you might not have seats!! Like, there are NO CHAIRS!!The staff tried to say it was on request of artist. Seriously? Sarah Jarosz wants SRO? Soooo many people are unhappy, but few will say anything.
google avatar

Jason V.

Yelp
This was an old high school? They sure don't build them like they used to! I would have loved to attend a school like this! I had no idea what to expect from Revolution Hall. I was vaguely aware of it as an event venue, but that was the limit of my knowledge. When we arrived to watch one of our favorite stand up comedians (Mark Normand, for the curious), we were treated to some pleasant surprises, in the form of multiple bars (at least one on each floor, including the roof!), a spacious theater and a (conversely) cramped auditorium, and classrooms converted into office spaces for local businesses, small and large. The theater itself lies in the center of the building, with every other occupied space orbiting around it, in side rooms, on every floor. The staff were surprisingly helpful in describing the layout, which bars were open, and guiding us to our seats. You're able to bring purchased food and beverages into the theater, too, which wasn't immediately obvious. Very McMenamins-y, if a bit less aesthetic. Cool venue, though. I'm looking forward to future events here. Comedy!

Yelp
Great concert venue, friendly and efficient staff. Nice bars. My biggest complaint is that they some really uncomfortable chairs. I was there for the Hump! Film Festival and all I can say, the floor seats are uncomfortable as heck. It definitely took away from the experience.
google avatar

Mark A.

Yelp
Cool spot. McMenamins style, repurposing an old school into a collection of businesses. They have a corner of the building (and a rooftop, which unfortunately for some reason wasn't open when we went), with a bar, seating, and another side private room. Some of their drinks were premixed which isn't great, especially for something like an old fashioned, but they have a nice outdoor area as well and prices were decent. Hopefully next time the roof will be open.

Yelp
Awesome view! Food taste amazing! Staff have a great customer service. If you want a spot with a incredible view and a drink along with your night drop by and check out what they have to offer.

Yelp
The best venue in portland in my opinion. The place is mid size so every event seems intimate. And the sound quality is fantastic. I use a mobility scooter and they were so mindful and accommodating of my need. I feel they went over and above to take care of me. The staff has always been amazing. If you have the opportunity to take in a show here I highly recommend it.
google avatar

Lisa W.

Yelp
Ok....4.6 stars. Awesome venue for shows and events. Saw Al Franken there, the other night. Bought the tickets quite some time ago and then heard that the place was under construction Our seats were good but they don't have cup holders or any place to put your beverage, unless you're under the very end of the row. We also thought that the seats could have been wider. Really good sound system. They also had a very well stocked bar close by. Nice place all in all.
google avatar

Ryan H.

Yelp
They held a concert on a night were most every other event was canceled due to severe winter weather (MAX closed, a highway closed, state of emergency declared) and wouldn't offer refunds to ticketed customers that were unable to make it safely to said event. The cherry on top is that the event had been sold out for months, but they opened up ticket sales day of as it became quite apparent that many ticketed customers couldn't make it. Very cool to double dip on ticket sales while putting a middle finger up to fans that bought before it sold out and decided it wasn't worth getting into an accident over attending. I hope the extra money was worth it because you've lost customers over this.
google avatar

Allie D.

Yelp
This was such a fun spot and such a great way to repurpose an old high school. Walking in I had no idea there were so many bar areas and even event spaces. The bottom level bar had inside and outside seating and you can bring your drink up to the roof deck. The view on the roof was amazing and the drinks were perfect for a casual night out. The bar on the second floor was great too and had over 20 beers on tap, plus it was right across from the event space. Would highly recommend coming here for a casual night out, I will definitely have to come back to enjoy one of their shows.
google avatar

Yelp
Loved the beautiful rooftop views & the staff were incredibly kind, hospitable, & friendly!

Yelp
Such a cool place! We attended a Johnnyswim concert on a Friday night. Parking was super easy and the parking attendant directed us to the box office where we could pick up our tickets. From the box office we were directed up a flight of stairs to the main concert hall and the show bar. The venue itself is cozy but spacious and the bathrooms are updated with plenty of stalls (for the women's restroom). We had a great time and I'd definitely look for other concerts to attend.
google avatar

Michelle V.

Yelp
Really great views from the rooftop deck. At 2pm it was pretty empty and got more crowded as the afternoon went by. Service was quick and drinks were delicious and affordable! Great and casual place to come hang with friends and be outside. Note they'll make you throw away any outside food!

Ben K.

Yelp
Good food drinks and a view of the city from the rooftop bar. The neighborhood is a bit rough though.

Yak I.

Yelp
Good music venue. Intimate. Decent acoustics. But. Bad food quality. Poorly managed for less attended shows - understaffing results in things like 1/2 entrances closed which means people walking in front of u during the entire show. Demonstrates a lack of respect for the show and customers. Boo!
google avatar

Dana M.

Yelp
Went to the 70s disco dance and 80s dance in the smaller venue, by the showbar. The 80s dance was great-- Played top, recognizable hits and the MTV videos that went with the songs. The 70s, I didn't recognize half the songs, they mixed the songs with new songs and had a weird psychedelic thing on the big screens. Would've been more fun to even put on some actual dancing in the clubs from the 70s on the screens, or even soul train show. Not sure why they couldn't have played some recognizable hits instead of mixing them with new stuff. The next 80s dance coming up must be in the bigger hall, the price went from $12 to $18, PLUS they add a 35% convenience fee which makes the tickets almost $25 for a DJ dance. Yikes. The drinks were OK, premade mixes and filled to the brim with ice. Nothing special. Didn't try the food. You can try and park in the neighborhood which is very hard to find spots, but it's much easier to park in the paid lot with attendants, which is $10.
google avatar

Casey S.

Yelp
Horrible experience.. went for dinner, they took order but didn't make order.. one hour later they can't find my order and can't give me refund. Complete BS. Money lost and we are hungry. Edit, they figured out reruns! Two stars.
google avatar

Pooja D.

Yelp
So I don't have a ton of money, but I figure I have been putting off seeing artists because of ticket costs and venues just being too large to have an intimate experience (like where you can actually see the instruments being played) and last summer as well as this one I have decided that for my sanity I need to dedicate some funds to artists that have made a huge impact on my life. But I still can't fathom ticket costs, especially high ones for nosebleed seats. Well Revolution Hall has solved that problem. I have seen several shows there, at nominal costs, and have had such amazing times at both. Staff is kind! Drink prices are affordable! Lights and sound have been top-notch. One does need to arrive early to get choice seats, but it is worth it. I really wish more artists would do shows at venues like this for their listeners, maybe shorter shows, over the course of several days so people that can't afford to shell out big bucks to see them at big name, commercial, void of soul venues, can. But what do I know.
google avatar

Alexa M.

Yelp
Ok y'all... I caved. I came her for the infamous purple drink and stayed for the vibe. The first time I came here was on a hot summer day. It's a cool spot to come grab a drink on their roof top, especially during the summer since they have a small selection of frozen drinks. The first time I came I only had their frozen mango margarita. The second time I came it was extremely busy and there was no where to sit on the rooftop, so I suggest to come early if you want a table. I also tried their purple drink (don't know the name) and oh my goodness it was terrible!!! I couldn't stomach it. It was nothing but gin. Now, this might not be an issue to some, but for me.... I was expecting a better tasting cocktail. I wouldn't order that again.

Natalie W.

Yelp
I recently attended a concert at Revolution Hall and it was an absolute blast! The band, Hermanos Gutierrez, put on an incredible show, and I highly recommend catching them live. But what also contributed the night was the fantastic service. From the person checking IDs to the bartender and every other employee I encountered, they all greeted me with warm smiles and enthusiasm. As a solo concert-goer, it made for an overall great experience, and it was genuinely nice to be welcomed so enthusiastically. Kudos to the entire staff for creating such a memorable evening!
google avatar

Pratima M.

Yelp
The rooftop deck bar is a great stop in Portland! You get beautiful views of the whole city as well as reasonably priced-drinks -- it's super easy to make a reservation online and they follow all the COVID precautions for the experience. You order online from a QR code and everything gets brought out to your table. A fun spot to stop by for some city views and drinks!
google avatar

Sophie B.

Yelp
A bar inside or an old high school, what?!? My friends and I were looking for a casual drink before a night on the town and found this place and fell in love! By recommendation of the bar tender, we got margarita's which were so perfect. We sipped and explored the building and found so many sweet spots! The roof was just a seating area at the moment (April) but there seemed to be a bar up there so I can't wait to go back when it's warmer to spend more time enjoying the view! On the second floor, there's another spot to get drinks and a theater. We didn't have time to stay and enjoy the film festival but based on the posters on the walls there seem to be lots of shows and performances going on! Walking around felt like i was exploring my own high school after hours in a sort of comforting and exciting way. It brought back lots of memories between my friends and I. How fun! In addition, they check vaccination status at the door! This made me buddies and I feel so much more comfortable joining the bar scene. Thanks Revolution Hall!

Yelp
Ive always enjoyed all my times at Rev Hall. It's a great space for all sorts of things and one of my favorite places to meet with friends for a drink. In summer, it has a great rooftop bar with views of the city. Each restaurant has great food and I would highly recommend asking for the fried pickles at the showbar! While I have been here several times before I had never been to a concert here until now. Rev hall is the old Washington High School which just so happens to be here my grandma went to school. So that alone was fun to watch the concert in her old school's auditorium. The venue is smaller and intimate and there were good views from all the seats. Will definitely be back for a show again!
google avatar

Quinn A.

Yelp
Sweet small concert venue. The place was formerly a school, and I enjoy the feeling of walking to class down the long halls. The field out front is reliably a dog convention every time I am here. Good dogs having fun, love to see it. The ground floor bar has both inside and outside tables. There is an additional small bar room inside and a roof top patio and bar. The views are dreamy, the drink menu sufficient. Food ... meh. I've been here for a concert and twice for movies. The theater has old seats that are very uncomfortable. I can take it for about an hour before my body starts complaining. The concert I was at had horrible sound mixing. Not sure if that's the fault of the venue or the band. I think I would enjoy a live show here - comedy or variety. The staff are friendly and helpful, no complaints there. I find it mostly uncomfortable but I appreciate what's been done with the facility. It's a clever way to extend the life of the existing buildings. I think if you can sit in hard seats and don't mind crowded spaces, this might be a new favorite for you.

Yelp
Awesome rooftop! One of our favs for spring/summer/fall. Drinks and service are always great.
google avatar

Kourtney E.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere. Checked out the rooftop bar and loved the cocktails on tap. Can't think of a better spot for a drink on a sunny day! Views of the city all the way around and good service.

Elaine F.

Yelp
Recently attended the SYML concert here. Awesome concert venue, though the seats on the balcony are pretty uncomfortable.
google avatar

Tierra H.

Yelp
Great views! Super dope space. High school turned into a roof top bar and other eateries. Price of drinks aren't bad at all. They serve food but I didn't try it. I do have to say they need some music to set the mood, hip hop would help. Seating is limited so you will be standing for awhile until a seat becomes available. I would definitely go back
google avatar

Nico B.

Yelp
What a cool space, somewhat reminiscent of the McMenamin's properties around town. The public spaces still feel a little sterile, they could use more art and murals in some of the high traffic public areas. I really enjoy the multiple bars and meeting spaces located throughout the building, as well as the helpful staff. The auditorium is beautifully renovated, with excellent acoustics and lighting. The seating is a bit outdated and uncomfortable, but I understand the appeal of maintaining the original charm. I appreciate the parking lot, as well as abundant parking in the surrounding neighborhood. Be forewarned, parking within the first several blocks has a 90-minute max in the evening. You'll need to park as much as 4 blocks away to find a space without that limitation.
google avatar

Bryce M.

Yelp
Incredible time spent there yesterday got to see the concert with amigo the Devil the seating and the venue perfect for what it was
google avatar

John F.

Yelp
My first time here and this is how it was Parking was easy to find, was greeted at the door by friendly staff members and proceeded to enter the auditorium. Seating was a bit cramped and for some folks hard to see as if you are height challenged. Also the actual seats are extremely hard and uncomfortable to sit on and after a while was absolutely painful no matter how you shifted yourself. So I would bring a cushion imo. The sound quality was excellent and with a pub right outside the theater had delicious pizza. I'm only giving 2 stars because the seats were ridiculous for $125.00 a ticket.
google avatar

Xerxes C.

Yelp
Standard affair bar with normal priced drinks and well priced pizza slices ($5). It was nice eating outside near the park admiring the pups and the outside of the converted high school. There was a DJ that played unmemorable music on a memorably low quality PA, but it added to the vibe. The rooftop was much too packed to hang out at but all n all it was a nice bar to stop in at for a quick drink
google avatar

Chelsie W.

Yelp
Great location!!! The rooftop bar is fantastic, the eateries downstairs are delicious, and the theater is pretty big. Great place to see a show and get food before or after your event. My cocktails were delicious, and you can take them inside the theater! Really enjoyed my experience here.

Yelp
Excellent spot to take in the Portland views and get some drinks at the rooftop deck at revolution hall. We got there around 6pm and they were already out of the specialty cocktails because of the music event being held downstairs but the bar staff was helpful and happy to make other generic cocktails.

Yelp
The drink was fine. It's one of those "take a number" typical Portland places where you nervously jockey for a table and hope the server can find you before your food gets cold. I brought a visiting friend here for the view of Portland. It's good for that on a clear, still day. It has a standing room only feel, which is fine as it is a pre-concert venue. I did feel the vultures circling, not for my French fries, but for the table as soon as my drink left the ice cubes. A Hipster Hangout for sure.

Yelp
Changed my rating from a 5 to a 3 to a 2 because they keep deleting my question. Took off work and got a babysitter to go to a show. Went to get tickets and went through the whole process, said it was confirmed and then the page online disappeared and I got no confirmation. I've been in this situation before, and so I didn't buy the tickets again because previously when this happened I bought tickets a second time and they refused to refund them once things were resolved and they realized the tickets did go through the original time. By the time these guys actually responded two weekdays later this time around I found out that my tickets did not go through but the show was sold out and thus couldn't go. Not the first time I've had issues with this website. Probably will greatly reduce the amount of shows I go to here if not stop going altogether.

Yelp
Pre-COVID review. My friends brought me here while I was on a work trip since they lived in the area and were more familiar with things to do. We went for a happy hour and the view at the rooftop bar. It was great!

Yelp
The good: Vaxx Check at the door Great view Contactless and super-easy ordering system Great service Reasonably priced and yummy food and drinks The not so good: The music. I don't if it's all the time, but the music was such a drag. 70s classic rock, but not even the good kind? The same songs you've heard 1,000,000 times (if you're anything like me) that you never, ever need to hear again. While we were leaving, the song blaring through the speakers was that shitty Pina Colada song. I don't know. I get that it's subjective, but try harder on the music. Curate it a little better. Read the room. This isn't a boomer bar...and even if it was, don't just play the most played-out music possible. Try for a bit of cool factor. A little mystique. At the very least don't settle on a CCR Radio playlist for your otherwise very cool establishment.

Yelp
Great cocktails and view. Would not come here for the food as it tastes like a neighbors backyard BBQ

Yelp
Good drinks! Beautiful view of the city especially as the sunset. Busy but found a seat fairly easily.

Yelp
There's a lot to love about Revolution Hall: Easy parking for $5--come early and grab dinner at a nearby restaurant or at Buckman Public House. Lots of good choices. Go to the rooftop for beautiful views of the city--the sun setting sky was aflame the night we were there. The rooftop bar was closed because it was the end of September and chilly outside. Study the history / trophy case on the third floor--this school had a lot of love and care; the restoration exudes that. Get a drink in one of the bars--not a lot of seating if you don't go to the rooftop or into the auditorium, however. Enjoy the crisp sound system and the ample space of the auditorium. My slight gripe is the the seats aren't staggered, so if someone tall or with big hair sits in front of you, viewing could be hard. What surprised and delighted me is how fast we exited the building, got to our car and were on our way home once the concert was over. It was like living in a small town that Colin Hay just happened to perform in. We look forward to returning. Next time we'll plan to spend more time on that glorious rooftop.

Yelp
My review is a little outdated, but I came here for the first time to see Brian Fallon. I was very excited to see this place and it did not disappoint. I enjoyed everything about it. Walking in, there's a bar. I ordered a drink and sat outside since I was a little early and to wait for a friend. The outside setup is really nice but no smoking allowed. When my friend arrived and we went inside we were able to explore a little bit before going to sit for the show. It's a very neat place to have shows at. Once we went in we decided to just grab a couple seats in the very back. That's kind of my style now but was very pleased that I could still see the performance almost perfectly from where we are at, and the sound was good too. I'm really hoping I will have another reason to come here someday. I think it's one of my favorite new places I've been to see a musical performance for a very long time.
