Wow, what a 5/5 spot! We tried drinks off the Winter menu and opted for the cinnamon roll cold brew foam on top. I found myself slipping back into the mannerisms of a 5 year old and only sipping the cold foam off the top, bc damn it was THAT delicious. Though my love of that cinnamon roll foam may lead you to believe otherwise, I don't love overly sweet coffee. The drinks here let the coffee shine first and are sweetened an appropriate amount. IMO, it rides that perfect blend for a coffee treat out! My husband and I split an avocado tomato toast and were surprised it came with 2 slices! For $13, 1 expected a single toast, so we felt that given the market norm - the 2 slices of sourdough with avo and tomato felt like a bang for our buck. (I KNOW, but late stage capitalism, ya know?) The sourdough was buttery and crunchy and the tomato and avo plentiful. The space was cute, service welcoming, and the whole vibe was very down to earth and low key. There were quite a few people studying and the other patrons in the space were respectful of the quiet vibe. There's outdoor seating out front for the more lively crowd too. There's playlist also had some great finds! 5/5, we'll be back again!

Google
Great cup coffee. This was recommended by my wife. Staff is friendly and prompt. It shows its busy 10am but they were fast. I wish they had cups to relax and enjoy the coffee. I'll be sure to bring my mug next time 😊. They do have just about every table filled as people are meeting and working remotely from what I observed. Overall I would recommend even if you have to wait a bit for parking.

Google
I love it here! Been coming here for like the last 7-8 years since they’ve opened. Albeit I stopped when I moved away for few years but now I’m back in the area and so happy to see it’s still same lil coffee joint HOWEVER they got rid of the ALCHEMIST!!!! That was y’all’s best drink

Google
Definitely one of the best coffee shops 🤎 the coffee is strong, slightly acidic in taste, which I personally love because the lattes aren’t too muted in (coffee) flavor, and it pairs really well with the flavors available, especially the seasonal combinations. There’s a fresh array of pastries every morning. For a less sweet option go for the cowboy cookie, medium sweet a pie tart, for sweet the morning bun (a personal favorite), and they made perfect croissants 👌🏻 There’s indoor & outdoor seating; there’s often dogs outside ☺️ And there’s a small parking area right outside (in front of a red and teal mural)

Google
EDIT: I came back for the pastry case, and boy, was I not disappointed! The ham and cheese croissant was so lovely, but the MORNING ROLL. 😍 My dudes. The morning roll was gorgeous. Rose and pistachio. Flaky and sticky. Poetry. I also got to try more of the beverage options, and I gotta say that the hot chocolate was excellent and the chai was NOT over sugared, which IMO makes the spices less potent. 10/10. The espresso here was super nice and had a distinct flavor profile that I really enjoyed. But I'm so mad because I came to this spot without trying anything to eat (I'm off sugar for a bit), and their bakery case was LEGIT. I took some longing, wistful pictures to share, at least. And in my (super professional) opinion, the offerings looked absolutely tip top. I'm definitely going to go back soon. For science.

While enjoying another coffee date with my wife, we were quickly served a bold cup of coffee ☕ at Revolution Roasters, in Oceanside. The coffee shop is cashless, which is sort of unique. Revolution offers a variety of coffee drinks and pastries. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. There were plenty of people inside either talking or working on laptops 💻. The background music added to the ambience of the coffee shop. They are mindful of pets 🐕, and they encourage outdoor seating to accommodate pet owners. Parking is limited. Revolution is a delightful place for a coffee date.

Google
I saw this spot down in Oceanside. I ordered the Hot Maple latte and Iced Butterscotch Latte both watered down. The Hot Maple Latte lacked in the taste department with the maple flavor. A slight a hint. Though the coffee wasn’t bad like bitter, it just didn’t have much impact on flavor. I loved the art foam design though. Neither did the Butterscotch Latte which tasted like a regular latte. Ambience was nice, staff was nice

Google
Cozy cafe in Oceanside! Revolution Roasters has a great aesthetic and yummy snacks and coffee. Really enjoyed the lemon lime berry pop tart and the maple and vanilla lattes. Friendly staff and the lattes were prepared quickly. Indoor and outdoor seating that is dog friendly. Recommend!

Yelp
My husband and I came here on a Sunday morning. There was a long line but it moved ar a reasonable pace. There's street parking and outside seating as well as inside. I ordered a small lavender honey latte (w/1/2 the syrup and almond milk) and my husband ordered the seasonal drip coffee. The seasonal coffee was ready by the time payment was made. The latte came out pretty quick so they seemed to have nailed down their process. We placed our order to go. To food looked pretty good but we didn't order any this time. My husband said his seasonal drip didn't have much flavor and is only offered as a small size, so he found this to be limiting. I wasn't fond of the flavor of my latte. We may try this place again but it would be a different coffee from what we had ordered from this trip.

Yelp
Revo Roasters has really stepped Up their game and become my fav coffee in O'side. They have the best flat-white in the game hands down. Get up, surf the harbor, grab a flat-white at Revolution Roasters, sit in the sun on their patio while I drink it and start my work day at a 10/10 in happiness.
google avatar

Kayleen H.

Yelp
Iced vanilla latte is good! Would come here again for the coffee but would not for the customer service! Not super friendly or welcoming, as this was my first time here. I get friendlier customer service at Starbucks than I did here today!

Yelp
What a sweet spot. We walked from our lodging on a lovely drizzly day only to be greeted by the friendliest and most welcoming spot. This place has terrific coffee, lovely hot cocoa, and an assortment of pastries that were absolutely divine. We purchased a bag of coffee beans to bring home for our holiday guests and they raved about it! We'll be back next time we visit.
google avatar

Yelp
Love Revolution Roasters. They have a good amount of seating and the staff keeps it pretty clean. Every time I've been there, the baristas have been very friendly. The coffee and matcha are both really solid. I got the cappuccino last time I was in and it was really good. The patio is a nice place to hang out for a bit when the whether is nice.

Yelp
I'm testing a new theory...and it's that anyone who is willing to invest in a Slayer espresso machine, they care a lot about their beans. So stop four on my Slayer-theory tour is Revolution Roasters. And so far, my theory is testing mostly true. An add-on to my excellent-coffee-shop-theory as of recent has been if the barista asks me if I'd like soda water with my espresso. Revolution has both- the Slayer and the soda water question. And the result? Probably the best cup of espresso in San Diego. I'd say the only one that really holds a candle to Revolution is Lofty's single-origin Ethiopian roast, but you have to go down to Encinitas to get your hands on that. Bottom line, Revolution is a special place and I would go out of my way for this espresso again.

Yelp
Always great strong coffees, lattes!!! They are absolutely delicious & gorgeous!!! Service is fast!
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious vanilla latte. Perfectly balanced and not too sweet. Indoor and outdoor seating, and street parking available. It's also connected to a vintage store! Nice staff and fast service!
google avatar

Yelp
Revolution Roasters has modern vibe. They have ample outdoor and indoor seating. Their menu includes a nice selection of coffee, drinks, pastries and food. They do not accept cash. The staff were very nice. I ordered two Iced butterscotch latte with almond milk. It was rich, creamy with perfect sweetness. I didn't have the chance to try their food this time. Definitely, I will come back and try their food and pastries

Yelp
I tried matcha at 3 different places in Oceanside and this place was by far the best. I do a matcha americano over ice, no milk, unsweetened, so the matcha is important. This had a vibrant green color and tasted great. The food was also fantastic. We had coffee cake, a scone, a pop tart thing, and omg, the breakfast sandwich on focaccia (so good!) and the avocado toast with heirloom tomato on perfectly crunchy, chewy bread with the perfect amount of coarse salt. Their kitchen is killing it. Beautifully presented and delicious. The coffee is roasted a little light for our taste. Even with third wave sensibilities, just a little lean. Tried a dark roast PNG pour over, which I don't recommend. Their pour over game needs work. The grind was too course, the extraction too fast, and instead of a kettle for the proper temp they use the hot water from the brewer. Under extracted, not good. Barring the pour over there's a lot to like here.

Yelp
Really great find in Oceanside/Carlsbad area. Easy parking in next door large public lot. Staff are friendly and efficient They have a small variety of coffee and tea, including seasonal drinks. They also have some toasts and baked goods as well. I really liked their seasonal campfire cold foam coffee drink. The coffee was pretty strong and great to start the day. Their butterscotch latte is also solid. I had to try their Monkeybread which was fantastic! Definitely will get that again and maybe their morning roll. Great spot, def will be back

Yelp
wonderful little location in oceanside with a great outdoor patio space. service was quick and they were flexible with our order adjustments. however, my friend and i ordered the same thing back to back and there was an obvious difference in how they made it. we got black sesame lattes and hers had way more black sesame than mine, and mine tasted like a regular unflavored coffee. i'd go back to try something else because they do have a great menu. but maybe a different location next time.
google avatar

Yelp
Your thoughts? 1/2 My favorite savory item is the jalapeño cheddar croissant. Flavorful and also comes with cream cheese. Flavors reminded me of a Mexican spicy stuffed bolillo with cheese, but it was open faced and less doughy. The breakfast bun is my go-to on the sweet side. The strawberry Pop-Tart looks beautiful, but the flavors are a bit too floral for my taste. Expenses: 1/1 Prices are a bit on the higher side with pastries ranging from 4-7 dollars each but most have been worth it. Location 1/1 The staff was courteous and efficient. Street parking ftw, since the lot was already packed. Possibility of a Future Visit & Recommendation 1/1 I'm not a big coffee drinker, but would still return for the pastries!
google avatar

Tanya D.

Yelp
Delicious seasonal pop tart- wish I could eat one right now! Some construction was being accomplished on the front patio. Love their pastry and food case.
google avatar

Diane S.

Yelp
As soon as you walk in it feels so inviting, with seats outside and in. The display of fresh baked (delicious) treats grabs your attention. And the coffee and tea are a must! We ordered a cappuccino and lavender earl grey iced tea... and couldn't resist getting some shortbread and a cowboy cookie. It's wonderful to walk in and feel welcomed with a smile!. Helpful service makes the visit feel special.
google avatar

Michelle G.

Yelp
Cute little place I found through Yelp. Wasn't as eclectic as some coffeehouses but still cute. Off PCH plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Prompt service with plenty of people behind counter. I got the coconut latte it's almond milk substitute. It was good. Nothing extra special just a good coffee.
google avatar

Valerie K.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to visit while in Oceanside. They have a lot of unique beverages and flavors crafted in-house- especially their winter spice lattes. Their pastries are awesome, but they are a bit on the sweeter side for my liking, but who doesn't enjoy a good homemade poptart. They had blood orange and maple.
google avatar

Hannah P.

Yelp
Stopped by Revolution Roasters in Oceanside for a quick breakfast with my sister, and it was a great start to the day! She ordered the Ube Matcha, which was absolutely beautiful before we mixed it--then it turned into a bit of a "swamp" color, but still tasted delicious. I went with the seasonal coconut iced coffee, and while I wish it had a bit more coconut flavor, it was still really good. The highlight of our visit was definitely the smoked salmon toast--I added tomato to it, and I highly recommend doing the same. It was so fresh and flavorful! The service was super quick, and I'll definitely be back to try more from their menu!
google avatar

Desiree P.

Yelp
After my initial visit, I felt that the remarkable quality and presentation of the pastries were not adequately conveyed without accompanying photos. Determined to showcase their true splendor, I returned to capture their beauty. From the top there is a peach jasmine pop tart, a poppy seed scone, their take on monkey bread, and lastly the beautiful morning bun!
google avatar

Dizzle L.

Yelp
The honey lavender latte is delicious. Service was good for as busy as it was. A-lot of people on their laptops here. Small place. Some seating indoor and outdoor. The pastry was very flavorful. I want to try the kombucha next time. Looks like they have it on tap.
google avatar

Denisse R.

Yelp
Revolution Roasters has great coffee and pastries! I decided to try a pop tart based on my friend's recommendation. Wow! It was delicious! Definitely a must a try! Their lemon poppy seed scone is scrumptious! My husband said the ham and cheese croissant was tasty as well. I also had a honey lavender latte, which was really good, smooth, and not too sweet. Get here early, or you'll be waiting in line for a while!
google avatar

Yelp
Revolution Roasters is hands down the best coffee shop around. The coffee is always top-notch--smooth, bold, and full of flavor without ever tasting burnt or bitter. You can tell they put real care into roasting and crafting every cup. The vibe inside is eclectic and welcoming, the kind of place you can sit and relax, catch up with a friend, or even get some work done. The staff are always friendly and make you feel like a regular, even if it's your first time in. Their pastries and toasts are also amazing--fresh, creative, and the perfect pairing with a latte. Revolution Roasters truly nails it every time, and it's become my go-to spot. Highly recommend! Some of my favorite things to order : ham and cheese croissant Iced vanilla latte with cinnamon and add cold foam Avocado toast Chipotle BLTA (seasonal) Anything in the pastry box Even when they change it up there's nothing that will miss !
google avatar

Hannah K.

Yelp
One of my favorite coffee shops in SD! They have great coffee options and had great seasonal drinks for the holiday season. They also surprisingly had a wide variety of small breakfast options. A great spot to come do some work or enjoy the nice weather and sit out on their outdoor seating area.

Myrna C.

Yelp
That cheese and ham croissant is not to miss, one of the best I've tasted with good butter
google avatar

Priscilla C.

Yelp
I love this spot but their pastry cabinet has so many flies in there They need to do a better job at keeping it covered. I order food that's made fresh in the back to avoid the items they sell up front. Love their drinks and the vibe.

Yelp
FKN WHOA. THOSE ARE SOME GOOD BEANS. (5 stars) I love love love local roasters. - DRINKS: really good - PRICE: fair - SERVICE: good - AMBIANCE: typical This coffee shop is known amongst Oceansiders and making a name for itself. First location is in South O and starting to branch downward. Lot of people traffic, handful of skillful and friendly baristas crafting clean foam art in timely fashion. When I had questions about the roasting and the beans and their blends, I believe I either talked to the owner or manager and kept me informed. There is a bean for everyone! Most places you see medium and dark roast. Well they have decaf, light, medium, medium/dark, and dark Decaf "Minus the Edge" - Columbia Light "Holy Goat" - Ethiopia Medium "La Amiga"- Columbia Medium/dark "Giant's Head"- didn't say but I assume part Columbia part Papa NG Dark "Night Shift" - Papa New Guinea (DECAF) VANILLA LATTE ($6) - #teamdecaf. You only know I take my decaf beans only if they are Swiss Water Processed (or mountain water processed). This is the go-to when you want to be basic. With whole milk, I like the fatty and creamy taste (I can't do that oat milk stuff). Took this hot as hot always allows me to sip and taste instead of quench thirst with bigger gulps. Their vanilla syrup is made in-house and uses real vanilla beans which is also visible in the drink. You can see the fresh vanilla bean specs in your drink. Omg leveling up! It's subtle where my drink doesn't taste full on vanilla. This allowed me to taste the flavor profile of their decaf beans without searching. The bean was very very very smooth and no tartness or acidity- as with most decaf. I immediately identified chocolate and had to take a few sips to taste a little bit of sweetness/fruity yet buttery aftertaste... like toasted marshmallow. Although warm outside, I enjoyed every warm sip on a warm day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND I've learned to identify this flavor because I love s'mores and burning the crap out of my marshmallows. That Maillard reaction is giving new flavors. When heat is applied to sugar, it breaks down to tinier molecules that react with each other and create new flavors that we tend to be drawn to without thinking about the why factor that flavor comes to existence from its source. Example, with toasted marshmallows it gives fruity, nutty, and buttery. I am OK driving all the way up this far north to the most northern north county area to enjoy my sips. Keep it special! JABA APPROVED. Until the next review...

Yelp
Solid spot with a cool, open vibe and great service. We ordered the Raspberry Matchas, the Avocado and Tomato Toast, and the Tomato and Burrata Toast to go. The matcha was smooth and well-balanced, not too sweet or earthy. I originally ordered the Avocado and Tomato Toast but was given the one with pickled onions instead. I should've double-checked the order before leaving, but it's worth mentioning since that mix-up is why it's four stars instead of five. That said, the pickled onion version was surprisingly good and I ended up enjoying it. The Tomato and Burrata Toast was okay, but probably not something I'd get again. Overall, good drinks, solid food, and a spot I'd definitely come back to.

Christine S.

Yelp
Good drinks and great pastries! I'm a pastry snob, all baked goods really, and this is one of few places that I will regularly purchase from. The ham & cheese croissant is incredible. The drinks are good, albeit small and a little on the high side price wise. I really like the more ~experimental~ drinks they have and appreciate they think outside the box.
google avatar

Tom M.

Yelp
As a coffee snob, I think this is the best coffee and coffeehouse in the area. I love the vibe, and have spend many mornings here on my laptop just breathing in the authentic local scene. The drip coffee is excellent, and have purchased several pounds of their grind. But I gotta give it up for their baked goods--absolutely irresistible! The morning bun was just sticky, gooey fun, and was delightful. Haven't had one dry pastry there. And their avocado toast is amazing: thin, crispy, with perfect avo, heirloom tomatoes, and coarse salt.
google avatar

Yelp
Every time I make the drive back to Orange County I always make a pit stop in Oceanside to visit Revolution Roasters. This place has all the coffee shop vibes you could want, great outdoor seating and amazing customer service. The standout for me is definitely the Iced Butterscotch Latte. It's the perfect balance between sweetness and butterscotch while letting the coffee still shine through. I also think the prices are very reasonable for all their drinks and small bites. Would I go again? Absolutely!
google avatar

Anna E.

Yelp
Cute spot and the coffee was solid. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating available. Staff were nice.

Yelp
Update as on Feb 2024 - turns out they just opened a second location in Carlsbad, just a 5 minute drive from this one. The place also looks nice so we'd have to come back to try it next time! I just like the Encinitas location better for the more open-air vibes. We came back here and realized it's one of my most favorite coffee shops in San Diego now. You don't really find a lot of cafes in town that: does amazing coffee, bake their goods in house, has an amazing kitchen menu, and has their own roastery and sell coffee bean bags. I also also love their branding which is very important to establish a business, IMO. We got one of their seasonal pop tarts this time and another one of the morning buns. I also got their seasonal orange creamsicle vanilla latte before it ends on Mar 1st. Sadly, the drink didn't taste anything like orange creamsicle. I think they just need to improve on the flavor a little bit but it was still a good vanilla latte nonetheless.
google avatar

Tia L.

Yelp
It's got a local vibe, with plenty of table space, outlets, and wifi if you need to get some work done. There's also a cute front patio if you want to enjoy your coffee outside. The food menu is on the smaller side, but the toast options look super tasty (just note, the kitchen closes at 2pm). The service is quick and super friendly, adding to the laid-back surfer vibe that's central to Oceanside. (Caveat: it can get pretty packed in the mornings and around noon). Definitely a great spot to relax, sip coffee, and take in the chill atmosphere. Right next door there are some cool shops as well if you want to take your coffee to go!
google avatar

Alysa C.

Yelp
This coffee shop was a fun stop on our way to SD! we were drawn to their fun seasonal lattes. Quality of their drinks and service did not disappoint. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a nice place to stop by and study.

Joy L.

Yelp
It's always a pleasure to visit a coffee shop where the baristas are genuinely passionate about their craft. Their curiosity about new arrivals not only enhances their expertise but also allows them to provide thoughtful recommendations. (Kyle was that wonderful barista who takes pride in what he does) The $7 limited-release Ethiopian pour-over was exceptional--smooth, aromatic, and brewed to perfection. I sincerely hope this establishment continues its dedication to quality and service. Outstanding beans, skillfully brewed with warm hospitality, make for an unparalleled coffee experience.
google avatar

Britt B.

Yelp
Excellent vanilla latte with house made vanilla syrup. Best coffee we've had in Oceanside.
google avatar

Jane S.

Yelp
Delicious coffee, amazing food, and clean space. The employees are friendly and are happy to recommend their favorite items from the menu. Their seasonal stuff is truly unmatched. And I didn't even have a pastry but they look and sound so delicious.
google avatar

Natalie O.

Yelp
I was very excited to try the matcha here because of all the reviews. Unfortunately I was disappointed by the matcha. There was no flavor and it tasted like pure milk. I asked for extra sweet, and it still didn't taste like anything. I like my matcha to be strong in taste, but also sweet. I thought by the color it would be good, but i got fooled ): Definitely have had better matcha elsewhere.
google avatar

Justin G.

Yelp
Super friendly, delicious lattes. Came here twice during our summer vacation from phoenix to Carlsbad
google avatar

Jasmine M.

Yelp
If I could come here everyday, I would! I love their drinks and their baked goods are sooooo delicious! The ambience and service are top notch! My only complaint would probably be, if the coffee shop was bigger. This place is a popular choice and sometimes you gotta wait to grab a seat
google avatar

Christina H.

Yelp
I love this new location. Its a great spot for kids as there is open/shared seating with other nearby food joints and an ice cream spot. Service is always friendly and bathrooms are clean. The coffee itself is always delicious and the pastries...could have their own review. I have yet to find comparable pastries even at any bakery in North County San Diego. They are the most delicious, baked fresh, mouth watering, easy to devour delicacies. Worth every bite.

Iphone ..

Yelp
nice ladies and cool spot! the coffee... ehhhhh. got a butterscotch latte (i feel it would've been better hot given it's consistency) and a coconut latte. both were not great. couldn't taste the coconut, a little too milky, and a little too strong.. so i asked if they could please add vanilla to it, which made the coconut one better! at that point it was sort of a vanilla latte. I'd say the vanilla was good and the monkey bread was good. overall i give the place and workers 6/10 coffee 1/10.
google avatar

Yvon T.

Yelp
Delicious! We stumbled upon this place on Yelp and tried out the butterscotch latte, matcha mint latte, and flat white and everyone loved their drinks. The price is pretty average for a coffee shop and the parking was fairly easy - you can park either on the street or there's a small parking lot on the side of the shop. It looked like a lot of people were able to comfortably study here too which is always a plus and the bathrooms were super clean!

Yelp
Good coffee and ambiance. We came on a Saturday around noon and there was a line out the door but it moved quickly. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We got a cappuccino and the coffee soda (espresso over sparkling water and sweetened). Cappuccino was well made. The coffee soda was interesting but about what you'd expect from the description. I think it could have used some kind of creamer personally to make the drink smoother and a little more interesting. Our friends gor the iced mint matcha (seasonal) and the iced mocha. The matcha was apparently very mint forward which they loved. One thing that left a sour taste. My friend was waiting at the bar for his drink and the barista had put a drink out but didn't say a name. He went up to ask about it and was given a very snarky response for no reason. So friendlier barista interactions would be appreciated.

Yelp
Great quality coffee! Always consistent, love that it's walkable. Can get busy sometimes but line moves fast. Small shop but very cute and functional with plenty of seating/ working space. I love their cowboy cookie and get it often and especially love their seasonal lattes.

Yelp
We were driving home early and needed some coffee and a snack. We looked into Yelp for a little guidance. We decided on Revolution Roasters. As we drove closer to our destination, we quickly realized parking was going to be an issue. Street parking on a Saturday morning would be crazy waiting. We decided to park in the residential area a block away. When you walk up to the door, there's a life size menu on the wall. We checked out the menu and gazed at all the fresh bakeries. Once we decided what to get, we got in line. Don't let the long line scare you. It moves quickly. We ordered the Ham & Cheese Croissants, the Cowboy Cookie, Pumpkin Muffin, the Avo & Tomato Toast, and their seasonal Apple Fritter donut like were killer!!! We actually went back in line to order more because it was that delicious!! The Avo & Tomato toast was outstanding!! The tomatoes tasted like it was home grown!! It was FABULOUS!! Overall, everyone working were very helpful and full of energy with big smiles. Very hip decor, great vibe, and clean. Was it pricey??? Yessss, it was. However, it's quality ingredients made with love. Yep, I'll be back soon!!!

Yelp
Got my morning started with Revolution Roasters! They had interesting and unique drinks that sparked our interest, especially the fall ones. I'm not a fan of pumpkin spice, and Revolution's fall menu didn't include any of that. We opted for 2/3 fall items which were the Maple Latte and Salted Rosemary Cold Foam. While the maple latte didn't taste like maple syrup, the rosemary coffee really took us by surprise. The cold foam is delicious on top and has a flavor of brown butter! Definitely fall notes from this coffee. I didn't get to try a pastry although they looked heavenly and already had breakfast from another place. I'd truly recommend it here for nice quality coffee with uniquely crafted drinks!
