For our annual company lunch, the higher ups picked the RH in Marin. I've been here before for dinner and it was fine. It was dark, so no real view. We were also seated in the back middle, so we weren't close to the windows or anything. Overall, it was a lovely experience, mostly due to company. The food itself I found good, but pricey for what it was. We did bring our own bottle of wine and had it corked here.
The lunch last month, I believe we had a regular reservation for approximately 17 people. They did give us two tables in the corner, but it was very disjointed. No easy way to get back and forth as it is booth style seating. In order to get from one table to the other, we had to walk all the way around a few other tables since they are all connected. So basically we stuck to our table until we all started playing musical chairs to catch up with everyone.
Food wise, I got the salad and added two proteins. I adore kale and fully enjoyed this. The burrata was also delish. Nice and creamy. The truffles fries were also savory and comforting. I started my meal with the coffee and asked for numerous refills throughout our 3.5 hour lunch. I am hoping the price above wasn't per cup cuz yeah, that can add up. I probably had like 6+ cups of coffee. For the glass of bubbles, I just asked the server for a brut rose without looking at the menu. So not sure which one she gave me.
RH is located in kind of a mall like complex. When outside, there are views of the mountains behind the plaza. The outdoor patio is actually really nice. If it wasn't so cold, I'd have loved to sit out there. For some reason, at the time we were there, it was incredibly hot! Like I was sweating just sitting there doing nothing. And I typically run cold. Someone mentioned it felt like a greenhouse without the humidity. Going out on the patio actually was a welcome change as it cooled me down.
Other than the temperature issue, I had a nice time at RH. Would I return? Probably not, nothing was super noteworthy about their food. But it is a beautiful venue if setting matters to you.
