We came in today for brunch and had a great experience. It took about a half hour to get a table in this very cozy, lively spot. We got the brisket and chili and both were absolutely delicious. Our waitress was very welcoming and the food came out fairly quickly. We will definitely be returning!

Google
Talk about food heaven... Grilled steak and eggs.. The Healthy Omelet... Both great dishes. We will be back to try some other dishes and maybe some drinks. Everything that went by us looked great. OMG 😳 the presentation.. the taste.. servers Michael and Cindy made it all run smooth, and kudos to the chefs.

Google
First time visit for breakfast and we loved it. Super lovely staff and delish food. Great omlettes, home fries and toast. Real maple syrup too! Great to see their gluten free options too - pancakes, french toast and waffles as well as raisin, rye (the toast I got, tasty) and and white bread. We'll be back 😋❤️

Google
This place is fantastic! We've been here many times for breakfast, and everything has been incredibly flavorful and cooked just right, every single time! The pumpkin pancakes are some of the best I've ever had, and the Benedicts are excellent (amazing, actually -- the habanero is probably my favorite, but the steak tips and the salmon are also a real treat). We also appreciated the laid-back atmosphere, especially the wonderful people here, who are always willing to joke around but are also really helpful. Truly a special way to start the day!

Smaller quaint place. The parking lot is small but there is enough street parking that surrounds the establishment. I rarely give service five stars, but it really was that good. My server was kind and forthcoming. The food was so fresh. Every time I took a bite I couldn't help but say how fresh everything tasted.... and it wasn't until after I finished eating that I noticed the "farm fresh" and "farm to table" signs! I tried the bourbon peach french toast, cinnamon and brown sugar oatmeal, rhody omelette, hash and a cup of the chicken soup. Only complaint was that the chicken soup had one small piece of chicken in it. I highly recommend this place. Because it is smaller -I can see there being a wait on a weekend morning, so go early and be patient! I can't wait to take my mom here.

Google
A great place for breakfast, very tasty, but their website is not very functional. It doesn’t open well, it freezes, and it has no pictures 😰. But their breakfast is really delicious.

Google
Amazing food... Drinks were also delicious with spirit source from local distilleries. Servers were quick and attentive. Definitely definitely a repeat. The French toast is a must!!

Google
This place was incredible and worth the hype and drive out to see. The food was incredible and we were seating fast! I had such a great time and it was pretty busy! The food was extremely excellent.

Yelp
Seriously, New Year's resolution to get fit? I vote for get fluffy it's gonna be a cold winter we all need that extra layer of fluff for insulation! This month's specials are seriously fantastic! My tastebuds are so happy! Did an eye roll over the first bite of the cinnamon swirl French toast....didnt think I needed it but the Vermont maple syrup soooooo good. I've become addicted to their bloody Mary's....they offer a variety of types and I highly recommend you try each of them (it requires multiple visits which is a huge plus!) my fav is the tequila Bloody Mary....there's just something about it. Hey if you've decided to go for the New Year's resolution of fit, you need a reward.....this is a great option!

Yelp
While visiting an old friend in Rhode Island, she brought me to The Rhody Hen Café for breakfast one morning. The space itself is quite small, but we managed to get one of the last available tables. It is very quaint and welcoming. I decided to order the eggs and hash while my friend ordered the breakfast Cubano. The eggs and hash was quite tasty and not overly salty like most hashes are. My friend's breakfast Cubano looked absolutely amazing but I resisted asking her for a bite. Definitely a great little breakfast spot if you find yourself in the Providence area.

Yelp
Went back-and-forth time just to make sure that the food was really as good as I remembered. I've never had home fries quite this good before. The food from here got me energized so good. I ate breakfast and didn't eat again until dinner at 8 PM. The chef here knows how to make eggs worthy for a king.

Yelp
Wow, this place is small but mighty!! We went here for breakfast and it was out of this world. Our order was correct, all items tasted fresh and hot!! I got the gluten friendly French toast, which is a hard find anywhere, and they did an amazing job!! I loved the mini real Vermont maple syrup. We will be back for more!

Bruce E.

Yelp
Great food! Great service. Very clean. Gluten free pancakes were awesome! 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Jackie D.

Yelp
This place is a delicious breakfast/brunch spot! I had the pleasure of trying their habanero benny, which was out of this world. The chicken was juicy and crisp, while the habanero sauce was sweet and had a little kick to it (think of a homemade sweet chili sauce). The potatoes were also very flavorful and crispy. They're only 4 stars for me b/c I saw them pour their OJ from a commercial OJ brand cartoon when their OJ is claimed to be freshly squeezed. That was a bit disappointing of an otherwise fantastic food experience. We finished the brunch with some pumpkin pancakes which had the perfect blend of cinnamon and pumpkin puree. Would go again, would overeat again, would recommend.

Yelp
This is a small cafe with large kudos for greatness. Casual breakfast and lunch place with excellent staff and service.

Lani L.

Yelp
It's clear this place is a neighborhood favorite. Seating is limited, but service is quite organized with the waiting list, and really takes care of you from the moment you enter. The space itself is not particularly special - just a small place with decent seating, and also a small bar seating area that is also very cozy and a little tight. The food consists of mostly classics, diner-like brunch with indulgent dishes. The huevos rancheros are the way to go! In a subsequent visit I also liked the breakfast quesadillas. Omelettes haven't really been a favorite. Portion sizes are huge and food quite rich, so be prepared! You can also get muffins toasted with butter, which has a fun texture with warm butteriness as you would expect, and goes really well with a coffee.

Kylie K.

Yelp
If you like a quiet meal, don't sit by the door on a "nice" day because the front door has a bell that dings every time someone walks through it, it's maddening...also call before you go to make sure they haven't run out of one of their staples like fresh squeezed OJ honestly for what they charge for a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice, if they run out of it, then the store-bought orange juice should've been on the house. I was so disappointed after that because I had bragged and bragged to my friend about how delicious their FSOJ is! Most frustrating was being sat by the toilet, only to have a party of two placed at the 4 top right next to us when I had just asked to sit there and been told no they were saving it for a three or four person party. Putting all of that aside, the coffee is pretty good, portion size was decent, food was filling.

Bailey B.

Yelp
Hands down the best breakfast in Rhode Island. I'm gluten free and the options are very good.Best GF blueberry pancakes- fluffy and a great portion size. My favorite is the Breakfast tacos. Love the homemade hash!

Tyler F.

Yelp
Every time I come home to visit I make sure to stop by my favorite cafe the service and food is always great. The hot kiss omelette is to die for!

Yelp
I went to The Rhody Hen Cafe located in Pawtucket, RI for the first time. There are also locations in East Providence and North Providence. Since their first location was in Pawtucket, I went to that location. The decor is rustic and nice. There are tables inside and outside as well. The outside seating has a carpet on the floor and comfy furniture. The parking lot is not too large and we had to wait for a car to leave. I put my name down and waited about 15 minutes till I got a text saying that our table was ready. We ordered orange juice, cider mimosa, hot kiss omelet, and rhody hen omelet. I had the rhody hen omelet that had chicken sausage, caramelized onions, mushrooms, baby spinach and swiss cheese served with toast and home fries. It was a good portion, tasty, and very filling. I noticed a quick turnover of tables. Since speaking with the hostess to put my name down for a table to paying for the bill, the service was friendly and wonderful. I can tell this is a neighborhood gem and have a lot of regulars.

Casey B.

Yelp
Food was excellent! They had real Maple syrup available too. Cute little bottle. The staff was well dressed & professional, making the diner feel a bit more upscale. It was a super busy Saturday, but the two of us were seated right away. Wait times didn't seem too bad, but comfortably busy. All guests were happy & friendly. The parking lot is a little wonky so just drive in cautiously & be courteous while navigating a spot.

Robert G.

Yelp
Loved the Rhody hen. Everything about the this place is great. The food was delicious. I ordered a meal off the specials called something like lobster Benedict grilled cheese. It was soooo good. Eggs perfectly cooked. It came with a side of breakfast potatoes and they didn't disappoint. I usually only eat a portion of potatoes when given them as a breakfast side, but not these. I legit licked the plate clean. I don't remember what my sister ordered, but she loved her meal as well. Besides the good food, the service was amazing as well. Everyone there was so friendly to us and not just our waitress. This is a place I'll definitely repeat when in the area.

Steven C.

Yelp
Kinda disappointing. I was expecting great things based on all the reviews. Cute place with outdoor seating. Decent service but the dish was less than I hoped for. Corned Beef Hash with two over easy. One yolk was broken and cooked through. Maybe today wasn't attention to details day. CBH was mushy texture and lacked flavor. Meh

Pamela M.

Yelp
A++ experience. The food was awesome: the bacon and avocado eggs Benedict was delicious. Absolutely perfectly cooked egg. The pancake and breakfast potatoes were also delicious. The staff was super nice and it was the best breakfast I've had in a long time. I can't think of a way our experience could have been better!

Jessica A.

Yelp
Parking lot in front is microscopic. Find additional parking in the back or on the street. Small tables and available bar style seating. Call ahead for larger groups. The food is soo good. Steak huevos rancheros ... delicious. Enough to take home leftovers for lunch. Cozy local bfast spot added to the rotation.

Karla M.

Yelp
This has easily become a Pawtucket staple for me--they're reliable in terms of good food, their prices are reasonable, and it's a cozy spot in the winter, and makes you feel very relaxed in the summer. I am typically not one to get steak and eggs because I assume the steak will be too dry but I decided to be bold and give it a shot. Boy am I glad I did cause it's been the best decision--best breakfast decision--I've made. The steak was well marinated, it was tender, and it was still hot when I got it. The only thing I would recommend would be chimichurri sauce on the side for an elevated food experience. I ordered scramble eggs with cheese and they were fluffy and tasty. For the bread I did grilled English muffin and it was buttery and crunchy, just how I wanted. The potatoes were okay. If you aren't sure what to get, it's a no brainer, get the steak and eggs!

Laurelis M.

Yelp
Soon as we stepped in I was uncomfortable. The blonde woman who seated us was very inconvenienced that we had a stroller with a newborn. Even asked if we would put the car seat on the chair which is actually dangerous. All she had to do was move 1 chair to fit our stroller. Our time there was very awkward after that. Probably won't be back because of this.

Lucy C.

Yelp
Visited the new location in north Providence and as always this place did not disappoint. Great location, easy parking and food is delicious. I got the blueberry short stack outstanding light fluffy and just the right amount of blueberries. Bacon crispy and not burnt just the way I love it. And habanero Benny recommended by my friend, fellow foodie. As always it did not disappoint. Waffles and chicken spot on and home fries perfect! Service friendly and on point as always no matter location and the new ambiance is the same in both place. Like having breakfast with old friends. Will be back again and again!

Toni T.

Yelp
Yummy. Small, bustling place with a wait worth waiting for. The staff was bouncing all over the place, but it never felt hectic. I had the steak tip eggs Benedict, and the way that egg dripped over my steak and onto potatoes when I cut into it, was cinematic. Just yummy. I also ordered blueberry pancakes and enjoyed those, too. Definitely, a place I'd return to when I'm back in RI.

Katie H.

Yelp
This place is serving some phenomenal brunch food! The menu is fresh and creative, and they really deliver. I got the chicken and waffles, which were wonderful. The waffles were lovely--crispy with a nice malted flavor. The chicken was perfectly fried, well-seasoned, and not too dry inside even though it was chicken breast. My husband got the huevos rancheros with steak tips and black beans, which was perfection. The steak tips were a perfect medium rare, and so well-marinated. The black beans were flavorful. My husband wasn't even expecting to eat anything because he had already eaten breakfast that day, but he ended up cleaning his plate. Prices were pretty reasonable, and the service was excellent. Just note, if you're going with a group, they won't seat you until your whole group shows up. There are so many amazing things on their menu--I really can't wait to come back!

David B.

Yelp
Second year in a row I started my annual Christmas shopping day with a stop at Rhody Hen. Tried the chicken and waffles this time. Another fantastic meal. The waffle was light, fluffy and delicious. The bourbon bloody set the tone for a fun day ahead. Waitress was very attentive and made no attempt to rush me out as I was reading the paper at the end of my meal. Highly recommend.

Liliana D.

Yelp
Great breakfast/brunch options! Food is always delicious and not too long of a wait even though it's always so busy!

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Nice, local spot away from campus life fray. Food is always delicious diner vibe with various options.

Kaitlyn R.

Yelp
Got brunch here with a friend on a Thursday and loved it! The parking lot is pretty funky but luckily I was able to get a spot plus there's street parking nearby. The decor inside was so cute and cozy! We sat ourselves and our waitress was prompt and friendly. My friend and I are both vegetarian and were happy with the wide variety of options to choose from. We were both really happy with our choices, I got the veggie eggs Benedict and those hash browns? So tasty!! Crunchy on the outside, soft in the inside and super flavorful. The veggies also went really well with the dish. The quesadillas were also really tasty and I love the concept and how they're like perfectly grilled little tacos. Excited to come back and try the lunch options here!

Gelitza M.

Yelp
Ordered the chicken and waffles, it was amazing. There was a wait but the service and the food was worth it.

Antia P.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Service was great. Small but mighty diner. Be prepared to wait as there are no reservations. Potatoes were solid 7/10. Steak tip Benedict add avocado 9/10 corn beef hash 10/10 would recommend do yourself a favor and order. Pineapple mimosa was perfectly made

Cathy F.

Yelp
Visiting from NYC and was just looking for a quick but not heavy breakfast, luckily we came across this place on yelp. Note this place closes at 2pm on Sunday's There was a short wait, make sure to go inside and leave ur info with the host. Once we sat, we got their regular menu and their daily specials. My husband said their coffee was 10/10. Everything we got was perfect to be honest - the home fries, home made corn beef hash, and veggie Benedict. My only complaint would be for the chocolate chip pancakes to have the chocolate evenly dispersed instead of just piled on in one area. Also, the waitress asked if we wanted real maple syrup, to which I said sure- not knowing it was $3 but it's ok as it was a nice touch on the pancakes. Will be returning if we are back in the area

Tyra C.

Yelp
The pancakes are to die for... my have...large portions... excellent food and wonderful service!! Cozy and friendly!!! Wish I lived in the area!

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Great food! Excellent service! Highly recommend for both breakfast and lunch . Outdoor seating is lovely and the staff is super friendly

Deena S.

Yelp
We drove quite a way to try the Rhody Hen Cafe and am very glad that we did. we had breakfast and the food was great. It was a traditional type of breakfast, eggs, toast, bacon And potatoes. My husband had a veggie omelet. Parking was ver easy and the ambiance was very nice and comfortable. .

Mary C.

Yelp
Good was amazing had the French toast with maple butter you don't need syrup Waitress was great sorry didn't catch her name Husband had bagel everything's with the salmon just yummy

Aheli P.

Yelp
Super cute brunch spot in Pawtucket. We stopped in on a Tuesday morning and got a seat. It's a smaller spot (10 tables) but the turnaround is quick. We tried/split - coffee - peanut butter whiskey hot chocolate - habanero benny - fried chicken and waffle The service was great and the food very delicious.

Dina M.

Yelp
Delicious food.... Great service we will be back.. waffles with marshmallow, peanut butter chips, banana and whipped cream.. so delicious. I forgot the name of the other dish. I would call it breakfast nachos with home fries, chili, eggs and nacho chips.

Dan O.

Yelp
I haven't left a review in a while, but this place deserves it. I ordered the Holy Guacamole Burger without bacon and my son ordered the Habanero Crispy Chicken Sandwich. Both had excellent flavors that just went well with each other. The burger was done just right. You can watch them prepare the food from the dining area. The place is in the smaller side, but just right that you don't have to wait too long for your food and it comes right to the table after it's plated. I highly recommend this place.

Mark B.

Yelp
When I'm in Providence, I generally eat breakfast at T's but thought -- today -- it would be good to branch out and try something new. I picked the Rhody Hen. A small place, it was packed when I arrived, and I felt lucky to get the only vacant seat at the bar. My server was nice and brought me the refreshing Mimosa that I ordered. The French toast I saw being served at the Rhody Hen looked amazing and was tempting. Instead, I ordered the three egg breakfast which comes with home fries and choice of meat and bread. I chose bacon and a plain bagel. Eggs are eggs. Home fries are generally home fries. Unfortunately, the bacon was fatty -- not a huge deal. Happens at many places. More unfortunate, my bagel had been buttered by the kitchen, which is a crime in certain portions of the country (including where I grew up). With every seat taken, they were too busy to follow-up and learn that I wasn't happy with my meal...so I got up, paid at the register, and drove to T's in Cranston.

Mark N.

Yelp
I have been several times. The service is very good. Great whole grain pancakes! They are my go to.

Jeff H.

Yelp
Family owned and operated, great breakfast friendly staff and atmosphere. I ate here with family, despite the server forgetting about us for over 30 minutes, we made light of it and enjoyed our experience.

Patrick A.

Yelp
Breakfast was Amazing! I went to the new location and didn't like it quite as much as the Pawtucket location.

Samantha L.

Yelp
I came in here for Sunday breakfast. The inside had a wait but there was open seating outside that i opted for. I went ahead and ordered the huevos rancheros with carne asada cooked medium rare. The portion was large and everything tasted good. Service was also quick and efficient.

Cheryl S.

Yelp
I've been to the Rhody Hen once before about two years ago. I was on my way home from a trip to Cape Cod this weekend and needed to stop on my way home. Being solo for this trip meant I was lucky enough to sit at the bar and not have to wait for a table. Food was so fresh. Loved the fall menu options. These pumpkin pancakes were some of the best I've ever had. The cider mimosa was yummy, and if I didn't have to drive I definitely would have ordered a second one.

Lauren Z.

Yelp
This place has a great breakfast. It's one of the only places I've found a good breakfast taco. The service is always great, and I've never had to wait in line before sitting down. Even when it's crowded there's still always been a table. We've been a few times and will be sure to come back.

Becky B.

Yelp
Very nice breakfast joint. Food was fresh and came out so quickly! I liked the bacon avocado Benedict. The staff was accommodating and kind.

Amy S.

Yelp
Amazing food! Amazing service. We found this restaurant on Yelp while passing through...It's small but the tables turn over quickly. We parked on a side street as the parking lot was filled with. It was so yummy that my family of three will definitely be back.

Natalie G.

Yelp
What a spectacular find for a breakfast spot! Fantastically delicious mimosas including an apple cider mimosa with sugared rum! The food did not disappoint - highly recommend the habanero benny (it does pack a little heat).

Janet F.

Yelp
Great food, great service, good prices. Fast and efficient. Next time I'm in the area, I'm stopping in. Even the home fries were delicious.

Kendell P.

Yelp
Enjoyed the food and the outdoor seating. Service was a bit slow. Wait was quick (25 mins for 2) considering we went on a Saturday at a peak time.

Jen S.

Yelp
Love a good breakfast or brunch spot that's worth the drive? Rhody Hen is on an unassuming corner in Pawtucket near the hospital and it is not to be missed! They have their own parking lot, outdoor seating and covered patio during the warmer months, excellent food and service. We came in on a Monday last week around noon and it was busy but we were lucky to get a table and coffee right away. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with honey mustard sauce on top and it was so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside as promised. It came with a side of fries that were good too. The sandwich presentation was impressive as the lettuce and red tomato slices were holding their own on one side of the bun. I especially loved the service and wish I still lived closer!
