Google
Lots of hype around this place and wanted to finally stop by to see what it was all about. The matcha latte was just okay but the show stopper was the coconut americana - it’s unique and delicious. I’d skip out on the pastries as it seems like another shop made them but they were just okay as well. I’d definitely come back for the coconut drink, it’s memorable.

I’m Algerian 🇩🇿, and it’s my first time here at Rhythm Zero — and WOW! ☕ The coffee beans? Absolute top quality. You can taste the craftsmanship and passion in every cup. The style? So elegant, so modern, so perfect. You feel the real art of coffee in every detail. I highly recommend this spot to anyone who truly knows and loves coffee. This is not just a coffee shop — this is an experience. Thank you, Rhythm Zero! You earned a loyal fan today! ❤️‍🔥☕✨🇩🇿

My friend recommend this place for the coffee but I’m not a coffee lover. So I go with Matcha latte, it was so good. Love it !!

Google
Such an amazing spot to have in the neighborhood. Anytime we have family or friends visit, we always take them here. Everyone enjoys it. Highly recommend!

Google
The coffee they serve is very mild, if you love strong coffee, this could be not your choice. Chocolate croissant is very good. It is always warm when it is served and a hint of orange zest makes it so good. The owners are very friendly. But servers are felt like snobs for whatever reason. 🤔 (Edit: The new duo at the counter are so friendly. Love that they greet you with “Hi Friend”. My previous review is from a year ago.) When you order extra hot coffee, they won’t call you when coffee is ready, sits in the counter until you realized, it’s ready. so your hot coffee joy may spoil. You need to wait your coffee in the counter 🫤 (happens more than once so. Lesson learned 🫡) It is the most beautiful coffee shop in terms of decoration and art. And they change the decor several times in a year, so every time I come here I have a surprise 😍 Very early in the morning to be there is the best. Plenty of seatings. Calm and quiet. The coffee is not that important but if you are looking for a nice place to sit and relax or meet a friend, this place is the perfect spot. 👍🏼

Google
Stopped by this cafe 2-3 times and it’s been on point every visit. The space, employees and drinks are great. They always have great tunes playing in the background. I got the Blueberry Matcha & Yuzu Matcha. Highly recommend. Will stop by whenever I’m in the area.

Google
Rythm Zero is one of those coffee spots that manages to stay calm even when it is busy. The team behind the counter is always kind and self aware. They acknowledge the line, the wait, the rush, and somehow make it all feel human instead of hurried. That small detail sets the tone here. The first drink that got me hooked was the Coco Americano. It is simple but unexpected, smooth and rich with a hint of coconut that feels special without being fussy. Still, the real standout is the matcha. The summer blueberry matcha was easily the best matcha latte in New York. It was bright, creamy, a little tart, and perfectly balanced. Now that it is fall, they have replaced it with a blackberry pie version. It is good and sweet in a nostalgic way, but the blueberry one was unforgettable. Everything about Rythm Zero feels intentional. The ceramics, the light, the way drinks are handed over with care. It is a small space, so most people take their drinks to go, which adds to the rhythm of the neighborhood. I like to bring mine down to Transmitter Park and enjoy it on a bench by the water. Rythm Zero makes mornings feel unrushed and personal, which might be why it never gets old.

Google
Great vibes and great drinks. Monday mornings usually suck, but this place made mine feel like a scene from Blade Runner. The second I walked in, the air was thick with juniper smoke, dark wood, and moody lighting that felt like a cross between a Tokyo cocktail bar and a Nordic design showroom (in the coolest way possible). Their menu had shifted since my last check—blueberry matcha in lieu of raspberry matcha. Maybe not as punchy or bright as raspberry, and less sweet than strawberry, but that mellow, non-edgy blueberry flavor actually worked surprisingly well with the matcha. Super smooth. I also tried the Coconut Americana, and this one felt like a literal split between coconut water on the bottom and a layer of espresso crema on top. Practically impossible to mix evenly, but I liked the separation. Almost like sipping on coffee-infused coconut water. Refreshing in a weirdly satisfying way.

Yelp
So glad this new-ish spot opened in Greenpoint, it was such a delight to try their solid coffee, and in the summer they had this lemon sorbet that was super interesting though quite expensive. They put the sorbet in a lemon and inside a cup just for ease of transport and it was refreshingly delicious and eating it out of a lemon is fun. The peach iced tea was also quite delicious! They also had a season latte for fall which was a spiced pear latte and that was actually really delicious, not a flavor you see too often! The vibes here are immaculate as well and they were playing some jazzy japanese music which was right up my alley. Especially in the warm months, sitting at the tables outside is such a vibe. Have revisited and enjoyed what I've gotten each time, including at their west village location.

Yelp
Pros: The vibe of this spot is incredibly chic! The aesthetic is a clean & modern layout; it makes a great place to bring a friend for a casual hangout & good conversation. The drinks here are also fantastic! On this visit, I tried the iced pear brown sugar latte, which had a perfect balance of sweetness without overpowering the coffee. Cons: If you're looking for a place to work, this might not be the best choice. There's no WiFi, and outlets for charging devices are limited. The space is also quite limited, so it's not ideal for larger groups.

Yelp
I've been meaning to try this cafe for what feels like forever after I had seen so many videos singing the praises of their matcha lattes. Sadly, the reality didn't quite match the hype... I ordered a matcha latte and an iced latte. The iced latte was...fine, but way too heavy on the milk. The matcha latte, on the other hand, was downright disappointing. When the drink came out, I stood there flabbergasted. I haven't seen such a bad matcha latte in what feels like months; it was grainy, the color was off, and it looked way too milky (spoiler, it was). I was already a little scared when I watched it being made, and saw the water being added to the matcha without being measured or strained...i understand that some cafes don't strain their matcha and it comes out fine but it mightve been necessary here. The result? A grainy, milky drink that lacked any hint of matcha. I haven't had matcha this underwhelming in a while..extremely disappointing. As for the ambiance, the interior itself was decent but it felt kind of basic, lacking in character, something was missing. However there was a fair amount of seating. The service was also extremely lackluster. We didn't feel very welcomed, the staff was extremely indifferent and disengaged. TLDR; You can skip this one. And if you come, bring an extra shot of matcha, you'll need it.
google avatar

Eric C.

Yelp
Rhythm Zero is a decent spot if you're looking to relax with a book or catch up with friends. The space is comfortable enough for casual hangouts, but don't come here expecting to get work done since they don't offer WiFi. I ordered two drinks: a latte and a matcha latte. Their latte was pretty standard and was fine, but their matcha latte was literally the worst matcha drink I've had in the past year. It was grainy and completely drowned in milk. The matcha quality didn't seem that great either looking at the color. Service is neither notably good nor bad. I would probably not come back again.

Yelp
I'm highkey confused abt why this place has sm hype but it was fine... i got a pear brown sugar latte but i have to assume the syrup was not added bc there was no flavor, the lemon bar was yummy. It's totally inoffensive but i think u can go To any other cafe and get the same experience without hving to wait for a seat
google avatar

Matt L.

Yelp
The furniture and ambiance is very much a modern designer's dream living room (could do without large haunting portraits just hanging around). It is expensive feeling here. The coffee is pretty good; the latte is a good balance of sweetness and fairly strong. There is a variety of seating: large tables to work on, 2 different couches, and some outdoor seating. Would recommend doing some WFH from here as it wasn't hard to find seating on a Friday afternoon.
google avatar

Shai W.

Yelp
If you're looking for a place with a good espresso and cool artsy vibes, this is a good choice. Not an amazing place to pull out your laptop and do work, but the drinks were good and the staff were nice. This is definitely a ~cool spot, and the people around here also seem ~cool, so we had a bit of imposter syndrome of whether we were cool enough to be there. But would go again.
google avatar

Lina L.

Yelp
Rhythm Zero is a visual feast, with giant art pieces and a projector whimsically playing onto the walls. The furniture is an eclectic mix and match, like someone raided an antique store and decided to create a hipster haven. The bathroom was extremely aesthetic and cool. Strangely enough, it worked and vaguely reminded me of The Sipping Room by Breeze in Boston (though I do think that Rhythm Zero did a far better job with decor. See Yelp page here: https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-sipping-room-by-breeze-boston ). I ordered the Yuzu Matcha and my friend opted for the Matcha Heaven. The Yuzu Matcha was more yuzu than matcha. I mean, I signed up for a harmonious blend, but what I got was yuzu trying to steal the spotlight. My friend took a sip and said it tasted like guava. Guava? Really? To me, it was more like a weird, bitter note gate-crashing the party. I took a sip of the Matcha Heaven and it was equally as disappointing. With a name like that, I expect an ethereal experience but was met with a milk masquerade: the matcha was so muted that it simply tasted like milk. I've had my fair share of good matcha latte moments previously working for a Japanese tea company, and this was definitely not one of them (especially for a drink named Matcha Heaven). So, while Rhythm Zero might be a visual and aesthetic delight, the drinks left me yearning for a bit more substance and flavor. Maybe next time, they'll get the balance just right.

Yelp
Alla crema cornetto was so good; warm and great consistency that I'm still thinking about it as im typing. pls get. Latte was weak for me. Location is great. It's almost at the end where you can see the water.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice cute spot for a cup of coffee! Staff were super friendly and also amazing crowd. It is also right my the water so I walked over!!! Great combos! Very interesting design of the place! Would come by if I'm in the area.
google avatar

Sheena T.

Yelp
One of the best cafes in Brooklyn that sells very flavorful matcha. It's such a brilliant concept with a lot of the items for sale in the cafe. The smaller lemon bars are also a must have. Portion wise it's perfect and not atrocious in regard to price tag at $2.50 a piece. Definitely loved the matcha raspberry and love that it's so close to where I live. A place where I'm going to definitely frequent and regular!
google avatar

JP P.

Yelp
The service was great! This place is clean, and the vibe is modern with a Miami flare down to the scent! The coffee is good! It was a perfect day and the espresso with tonic hit! Give this place a go if you are in the area.
google avatar

Steven Z.

Yelp
I hope you're hungry.. for nothing! Basic shop with disappointing coffee. I had heard mixed reviews of Rhythm Zero so decided to stop by to form my own opinion. It was a blazing hot summer day, so I was looking forward to a custom iced drink. I got their Coco Americano. It was literally all ice and some flavored foam. I probably took 4 sips before there was nothing left. Granted, it did make for a good iced water cup afterwards.
google avatar

Carina H.

Yelp
This place has got to have the best matcha I've had in NYC (and the US). The Iced Pear Matcha Latte is rich and creamy, very similar to the matchas I had in Japan. The pear flavor is very subtle, and perhaps that flavor added to the original richness of the matcha. The decor and seating gives off both cozy living room and museum vibes. The space is super cute, and I even considered getting the merch. While there's a wait in line, the wait isn't too unreasonable when you arrive closer to closing during the weekend. My drink was ready shortly after paying for it. I would 100% come back here for this matcha latte.
google avatar

Tiffany L.

Yelp
A friend recommended checking this place out, and I am so glad we went! Sadly, we did not have a chance to stay since it was so busy inside / all the seats were taken, but it did look really neat inside. Loved seeing the various artwork on the walls. It's minimal, but it's very trendy. They sell cornettos, which I wasn't expecting. We didn't get to try one since we were just there to get drip coffee. The drip coffee was ready pretty much immediately, which was a nice surprise! I personally thought it tasted sour, but I guess that is what light roasts typically tastes like. I would love to come back to try other drinks and hopefully have a chance to stay and sit next time.

Yelp
I was looking for a cafe in Greenpoint to get some work done. Some previous reviews indicated that the cafe had free wifi, but that must've changed recently since they didn't have it when I stopped by, which was a bit of a bummer. Despite that, the cafe has great vibes. There are couches and a communal table, with a mix of people working on their laptop, reading books, or just chatting. There seemed to be a lot of regulars coming in and out throughout the morning, and the cafe is dog friendly as well. The cafe also seemed to have a display case of merch on sale, which I thought was fun. Their drink menu looked interesting but I just ended up going with hot americano!

Daniel M.

Yelp
Great espresso drinks. Super busy and chic cafe. The stuff was well prepared for weekend rush and the wait time was spot on. Highly Recommend !
google avatar

Jasmine C.

Yelp
Came in on a Thursday morning and if you're looking for aesthetics this place is it. Overall there's not a lot of seating so I wouldn't recommend coming with more than one person. I ordered a raspberry matcha latte and overall not bad but the raspberry did overpower the matcha. Don't think I would come back as nothing really stood out to me
google avatar

Rina D.

Yelp
I've been trying to explore more places in Brooklyn, and this was a nearby cafe that was pretty accessible to get to. There weren't that many seating available when I walked in. There are some seats on the side near the door, outdoor seating, and a communal table where most people at and were on laptops. The drinks here are a bit pricey and okay; nothing too special. My matcha was lacking a bit of flavor and tasted too much like milk. It's a dog friendly cafe and there is free wifi and a bathroom. I enjoyed the decor and atmosphere, with free art related books on the table as well. But I wouldn't bank on coming here and expecting a seat to work here for a long time.
google avatar

Brooke S.

Yelp
Great atmosphere with rotating decor & flowers, and lots of cool art. The team here is very accommodating to their customers and the space is cleanly. No outlets and there are always a ton of dogs around. Great selection of seasonal drinks!

Tasha N.

Yelp
Great staff and service. Loved the location. Cappuccino and chocolate chip cookie was delicious. Definitely will go back.
google avatar

Sara W.

Yelp
Cozy ambiance. Rhythm zero also has had nice background music both times I've been. Both times I've visited are pretty packed, during lunch time and end of the day. They change up the decor and furniture as I've noticed from the two times I've been here. Or they sell the art on the wall? It's also a nice spot just to grab a cup of tea or coffee and go the transmitter park.
google avatar

Vicky H.

Yelp
I really enjoy the vibes here! It's like you're drinking coffee in an art cafe but better because they're dog friendly! I wish they had some more food options but their drinks are pretty good and the service is solid! I got the raspberry matcha latte and I personally love an aesthetic drink! It's always like a cherry on top!
google avatar

Jennifer L.

Yelp
This cafe is my true happy healing place. The gallery aesthetics have my entire heart and id come back for their seasonal decor changes every time if i could. I got there right when they opened at 7am and was able to grab a table but it didn't take too long before it started getting crowded. Very work and dog friendly! Seasonal peppermint mocha 10/10- lovely dark chocolate flavor with subtle minty notes from the adorable cane on the side Pistachio cornetto 10/10- unpopular opinion but its my favorite croissant in NYC where i could devour entirely without feeling guilty afterwards. Less eggy, sweet, didnt coat your lips or fingers with oil but still super flaky and filled with deliciousness
google avatar

Andrew W.

Yelp
I've had a hard time finding coffee I like in New York. Am I too picky? Do I even know what good coffee tastes like? Though Rhythm Coffee is crowded and attracts a talkative crowd, the aesthetics and coffee make this my favorite spot in New York. I typically like to savor coffee and form an opinion over time, but after the first sip it was obvious the coffee here is significantly better than almost anywhere else. I typically go for a macchiato, a less popular drink that I've developed a strong fondness for after time in Europe. I skipped some of the pastries and sweets since the store doesn't focus on that. They also have a couch, nice art books and dining tables. Something for everyone.
google avatar

Sheryl W.

Yelp
The lemon bar is yummy. Nice vibe. No laptops on the weekend. Open, clean look. High ceilings. Modern seating. They have a bathroom. Lots and lots of pets. Close to the water. Staff is pretty chill. The lines get long on a Saturday morning. I opted for a hot matcha which was fine.
google avatar

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Love!!! This place had my heart with their interior design. Beautifully crafted place and their coffee is equally high quality with their furniture pieces. I usually have a couple go-to spots whenever I visit greenpoint and this one is my new one on the list!
google avatar

Jenny J.

Yelp
Rhythm Zero is a cafe not quite like any other. Part coffee shop, part art space, it gives up the opportunity to have more seating. On a late Saturday afternoon, the place was packed. My friend and I could only snag seats at the laptop-less after waiting several minutes. The mismatched furniture evokes a dinner party-style restaurant, but if the inhabitants were art snobs, rather than warm and inviting homemakers. The menu is limited; their coffee choices are basic and the pastries consist of a few types of cornettos, lemon squares and blueberry pie. My friend got a regular latte, and I got a matcha latte. They were both fine, nothing spectacular.
google avatar

Alexis S.

Yelp
My friend and I came here the other day as I had heard good things about it. It's right by the water and offers nice views when sitting outside. They have several tables set up outside and then one long communal table inside. It's a very minimalist shop with great pastries and sorbet options along with coffee and tea. The service was quick and everyone who worked there was very nice. Would definitely come back here again in the future.
google avatar

Phoebe D.

Yelp
Loved the aesthetic of this cafe in Greenpoint, but the coffee was just ok. I had an iced vanilla latte and personally found it to have a strange aftertaste - not quite artificial tasting but not very pleasant. I did like the seating arrangements and the art gallery aesthetic but it definitely gets crowded and they do not allow people with laptops to sit on the couches, so it limits the seating options a bit if you're looking to stay and work.
google avatar

Jeany Z.

Yelp
Really minimalist and aesthetically decorated - came for the vibes. We ordered lattes and cold brews, wasn't anything crazy but the matcha looked promising. I'll get it a try next time!
google avatar

Amol K.

Yelp
Ordered an iced almond milk flat white and it was really good. Milk didn't have any added sugar which I prefer. Also ordered the lemon bite which was very very delicious... I prefer my sugar in sweets and not my drinks obviously. Staff was friendly. Place is really clean and sleek. Good location as you can walk over to the pier and sip your Joe while basking in the glow of the East River. Would go back.
google avatar

Anja P.

Yelp
The ambiance is as calm and serene as it gets in NYC, can't wait to go back to the city and pay them another visit! Their cold brew was delicious, and Ivana and Alex make the most amazing hosts
google avatar

Ashley W.

Yelp
I have only had this Cornetto here but it was perfect. I had to leave a review to recommend. If you're looking for a croissant that has less eggs and butter then this is the place. Also, Alex was super helpful when making decisions on which one to get! Will have to try a caffeinated drink next!

J D.

Yelp
Incredible, high energy, cool atmosphere. Not a lot of seating. Splits the space with a running clothes store. Has a big TV that is showing the Olympics right now. Good drinks with good variety like a blueberry matcha and cold brew + lemonade. Will definitely come back. Fast and nice service.
google avatar

Sarah K.

Yelp
Love the decor and vibes here. Nice midcentury modern furniture that I wish I had at home and good coffee!
google avatar

Belle L.

Yelp
probably one of the coolest cafes i've been too. it's super retro in terms of the decoration. I got a matcha latte and a chocolate croissant and it was so good! the croissant is different than other croissants and had a great fluffy texture and not so crunchy/buttery. it was still amazing. the service was great and the staff were super helpful!
google avatar

Sam T.

Yelp
Flawless execution and one of my favorite cafes I've visiting in a minute in nyc. A coffee shop x art space started by a Serbian couple in greenpoint, this place is minimally aesthetic in a quiet way. The lighting is wonderful and ambient. Absolutely beautiful inside with statues and greenery and gradient tapestries. Even the chairs are avant- garde. The coffee itself was perfect. My flat white was delicious in texture and taste. My friend and I went a little crazy obsessing over the sorbets and each ordered one. There are beautiful art books strewn across two sturdy large wooden tables in the center of the cafe. There isn't much room and the cafe started to bustle during the latter part of our stay but we were able to get seats since we got there pretty early. The sorbets were delicious. The coconut was so creamy and the lemon one citrusy and tart. Would absolutely return for the ambience.
google avatar

Chaewon L.

Yelp
Located right next to the waterfront park in Greenpoint, this is a very immaculate café with good vibes. The inside is a big giant table in the centre and some seats by the windows. There are chairs outside the café where people chit chat and come and go. Lots of dogs passing by in the neighbourhood! I got a cappuccino and my friend got the espresso tonic. I will say the espresso tonic was pretty good (had a pleasant mild sweetness), but the cappuccino was kind of bland. Although this place is located quite on the edge of Greenpoint, it's very popular, and there are a lot of people. I would say it's a good place to stop by for a quick drink while chilling and walking around Greenpoint. Only thing that bothered me was that they had the scent diffuser thing running, and it got too strong, so I couldn't stay inside for too long.

Diana C.

Yelp
We enjoyed the blueberry matcha (one pump of blueberry) and the flat white. Both were delicious and the atmosphere was incredible! All workers of the coffee shop and neighboring Bandit shop were kind and friendly. We will be back :)

Rinrada P.

Yelp
I love the lemon sorbet it's very refreshing the Peach one it was too sweet for me ( i saw other pictures they put mint for the garnish but they didn't put on my sorbets :( ) also the pistachio croissant was very yummy too When i went there it was crowded so didn't have chance to take good pictures enough but it was very nice cafe The owner was super nice too.
google avatar

Cassandra H.

Yelp
Vibes are very cool if you can grab a seat. The chai is decent! Mostly here for the aesthetics. Lots of lifestyle influencers here.
google avatar

Alejandro H.

Yelp
The coffee was not good. The vibe is nice but the space is small and apparently they don't allow you to be on a laptop on the weekend. I was excited to try this place, but ultimately a very disappointing experience.

Bruno B.

Yelp
Very chic and trendy interior with great service and a great vibe. The seating is a little sparse but the coffee, which is what you're there for, is fantastic

John D.

Yelp
I enjoyed their matcha and croissants, very good. Adequate seating and tables. There are signs on the coffee tables saying no laptops at the couches and there is no WiFi or outlets so may not be a good place to work
google avatar

Bea C.

Yelp
When this place first opened up it was great, but the quality of the coffee has severely gone down suddenly. Very watery, muted flavor. Decided to go back after having 2 bad experiences many months ago hoping it had returned to its usual quality, but it unfortunately hasn't. Otherwise, it's a cool ever changing artistically designed spot.

Dom H.

Yelp
The sweetest humans on earth! Great coffee and great customer service. Plus they have the best coconut water I have ever tried!
google avatar

Elaine Z.

Yelp
Cute, aesthetic cafe in Greenpoint near the water! The interior design was so pretty, they had various coffee book tables to read and lots of figurines and plants around. The seating was kind of limited but it's a nice place to catch up with a friend. The chai latte was nice and I really enjoyed the atmosphere in the cafe!

Jennifer R.

Yelp
terrible due to very poor customer service. I went in to order coffee and the young girl said to me, you need to go over there to order with a terrible attitude, what we are used to from these young folks making coffee. If you want people to order from a certain place then put up a sign, please order here. The set up of this place is terrible, makes no sense, very empty too and generic and boring. I ordered an iced coffee and they handed me a cold brew in a paper cup, very small size and some ridiculous straw. go elsewhere where employees are considerate. coffee was bitter.
