Rhythm’s Chicken and Waffles

Who doesn't love a hole in the wall chicken and waffle shop in the heart of PB with good music! First time here, but we always walk by and catch the scent of the chicken frying...this time we had to try. We ordered the chicken and waffles combo(fries and a drink) for $19. The waffle was fluffy and the chicken strips were lightly breaded...interesting flavor tasted like Italian seasoning mixed in. Fries were really tasty. The guy there was super nice! Glad we checked it out and would recommend when you're in PB.

I saw it on a show and I read the reviews, i was exited to go here And I am sorry to say that neither the wife, kids or I liked it... The bacon waffle save the trip... But we were all disappointed. We had chicken and waffles in LA, Chicago, Atlanta and NY... Never been disappointed before. I was so looking forward to eating chicken and waffles in San Diego. I was order 13... So maybe they were just getting started or something else... But on all the orders the chicken wasn't even close to good. Chicken was okay! Also, I paid credit, and first time ever that I was told to pay twice because for some reason the order didn't fully charge... I was charged 4.50 for 3 can sodas twice... Didn't want to argue... Extra tip for, uuhh service. I have a bunch of food reviews in town... This is maybe the second time I gave 2 stars.

Delicious! This tastes like grandma's chicken with a tasty side of waffles to go with it. The chicken is seasoned well and moist. This may be a small place but the music is good out on the street too. Great place to stop if you're in pacific beach.

An hour wait well worth it!! This place is just that busy / that good.. pulled up on the original chicken and waffle sandwich fire, but the buffalo chicken sliders 😳 rest in paradise... only spot that’s cooking up sliders of this quality with actually good quality juicy chicken! Will definitely be coming back

Decided to check this place out since we saw them on the Netflix series as other reviewers have mentioned. Experience was great overall. Wait time is long but that's expected since they just got a ton of publicity. We were told the wait would be about 30-45 minutes before we placed our order. You might think no one is in front of you because people tend to order and leave so they're not hanging out in front. They'll text when your order is ready. They have a set of barstools on the side of the building and three small tables in front. Not much room if you've got a party larger than 3 people. You order at their open door. Just walk up to the door and get someone attention if there's no one there. I noticed someone mentioned they weren't acknowledged when looking at the menu... a lot of people look at the menu and leave or they've already made an order so it's safe to say you need to approach the door to order. Lol. There were only 3 employees there and they were busy cooking and getting the food packed. We waited about 35 min for our food. The food itself was great. We ordered the Loaded Fries with Sriracha Mayo, Chicken & Waffles, and Sunrise Chicken. Loved the seasoning on the breaded chicken. It was crispy and moist. Waffles were pretty good. Kind of chewy but in a good way. They soaked up the syrup and runny sunny side egg really well. Your hands will get super sticky if you decide to go with the Sunrise so it's nice that they give so many hand wipes. We'll definitely visit again.

Such good chicken! The way they batter it in buttermilk and add a touch of rosemary is a winning combination. I usually get the loaded fries with honey mustard and Buffalo sauce and it's just great. I have had their chicken sandwich once and it was also good, but the fries just do it for me. A little long on the wait times, but it's okay for that good of food and small of a kitchen

The food was amazing! Was disappointed about the wait, took about 30 min to get our food. I did give grace since it’s the COVID-19 crisis and they could of been short staff. But the wait was worth it. I love the many menu options that they have. The chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned well, the rosemary really set it apart. Next time in PB can’t wait to try something new.

Takes a while to get your order, BUT ITS WORTH IT! deliciousness on every single aspect of the dishes. The chicken is juicy and wow the sauces flavor are lit! A little over priced from my point of view, but still worth it.
