"To learntraditional Moroccan home cooking, look no further than Café Clock, where Souad will verse you in the essential flavors and techniques of local cuisine so you can take an authentic taste of Morocco back with you. In a comfortable kitchen above the café, you’ll prepare a three-course lunch featuring traditional soups and salads, tagines or couscous, patisserie and bread. If you want to delve into what modern Moroccan cooking looks like, head to Dar Namir. Classes for groups of two to four people are held in aprivate courtyard kitchen and dining room, andthefocus is on dishes for entertaining—like chicken, olive, and preserved-lemon briouats (crunchy parcels) with a harissa-and-mint dipping sauce, or lamb marinated in souk spices and slow-roasted on a bed of fennel. Five dishes are made and devoured by the class, along with a tasting oftwo boutique Moroccan wines."

We stayed at the Riad Fes - Relais & Châteaux for a short two-night visit to the old city, and it was a truly lovely experience. Despite the summer heat, the riad provided a cool, peaceful, and relaxing retreat from the vibrant streets of the medina.||We were kindly upgraded to a beautiful suite, which made our stay feel extra special. The riad itself is stunning, with classic Fassi architecture, intricate tilework, and a serene atmosphere that reflects the spirit of traditional Fes.||A real highlight of our stay was dinner at the hotel’s Gayza restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious – rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and made with care. The service was just as impressive: warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable.||As a family with a three-year-old child, we were also grateful for how welcoming the staff were. While the old city may not be the easiest place for young kids, the riad itself made us feel very comfortable and supported throughout.||Highly recommended for those looking to enjoy the charm of Fes in a refined, authentic, and family-friendly setting

Riad Fès – Relais & Châteaux is one of the finest places I’ve ever stayed. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re immersed in a world of refined luxury, historic beauty, and top-tier hospitality. The riad itself is stunning – elegant courtyards, ornate tilework, and a rooftop terrace with sweeping views of the Fès medina. The ambiance is classy, serene, and timeless.||The service was impeccable, and Anouar deserves special recognition. He brought an incredible level of care and sophistication to everything he did, from warm hospitality to crafting cocktails that would rival NYC institutions like The Dead Rabbit or Employees Only. Each evening was elevated by his presence and talent.||The spa and pool offer a peaceful retreat, and the restaurant delivers beautifully executed Moroccan cuisine in a stunning setting. Every part of the experience felt thoughtful and seamless.||Traveler tip: Be sure to call ahead before your arrival – you can’t drive directly to the riad. There’s a nearby area where you can park briefly to unload, and the staff will graciously assist you with your bags. It’s all part of the smooth, welcoming experience that makes this place so special.||If you’re visiting Fès and want a stay that blends luxury, authenticity, and heart — Riad Fès is the one. We can’t wait to return.

This riad was stunning, the details are amazingly aesthetically appealing, the stained glass windows gave the most stunning reflection when the sun was shining in. Our room was also beautiful with many small Moroccan touches. The bed was comfortable with different types of pillows which I really appreciated. Our room had delicious Moroccan cookies and dates. What i really loved was our bathroom, it had black soap and clay, I really did want to try this before purchasing, riad Fes gave me the chance. We were welcomed by Anwar who greeted us with sparkling wine and Moroccan nibbles. He provided us with good information on Fes. The staff service is excellent at riad fes. Anwar and Maha were very hospitable. You must try the Moroccan Rose cocktail made by the barman Abdul, it probably was the best cocktail Iv had. |The breakfast was also delicious, there is a continental buffet, and you can also order hot breakfast too which was included in our stay. |I really did appreciate the porter Abdulraq. He was helpful with our luggage, our car was parked quite far.

This is one of the best 3 hotels in Fes and being Relais Chateaux made us think it was the best option to stay in. I must say I would not recommend staying at this hotel and I’m quite surprised Relais chateaux has accepted it. I am traveling with my father and we had explicitly asked for a room with 2 beds, upon arrival they told us they had given us a great room up in the rooftop when we got there it had a queen bed. We called reception and they admitted they knew about the 2 bed request but had given us that one their solution was to give us one room for one night and then we would have to change rooms again. They gave us a bigger room with 2 separate rooms and NO apology. It is a hassle to pack and unpack, so the next day they asked Ud to bring down our bags to what we answered no. We will leave the bags in the room and they will take care to moving around a the bags ( so obvious). When we arrived late afternoon from the tour they told us they had 2 room option a deluxe room or the royal suite - we chose the royal suite which was an amazing spacious room. Today in the morning there was no shampoo bottle at either bathroom (it had 2) and the scrub they place as a courtesy hadn’t been changed from the last guests so it wasn’t cleaned. Today in the morning more than 20 minutes to get scrambled eggs with only 2 other tables occupied, had to ask 3 times for them. At check out no apology. Service from front desk does not exist. I would not definitely not recommend this place as it does not hold up to Relais chateaux standards.

Overall the Riad Fes is nice, with beautifully designed interiors in a unique location in the heart of the Fes Medina. The feel is aimed to create a personalised luxury experience with rooms that are comfortable and aimed giving it a luxury boutique hotel feel. When comparing it to similar classic luxury hotels it falls slightly short. Breakfast is excellent, served in beautiful setting with a good verity of produce. The pool is ok, but was consistently a mess, with no staff paying attention to the space and the gym is a small space that they would be better closing as few gym goers would really use it. The rooftop bar could be a goldmine but with outdated furniture and only two staff at peak times and super high prices it is a turnoff. The view is brilliant and staff very friendly…. The room was nice, but housekeeping really needs to look at the small details…..deep cleaning and refilling the soap!! The layout was not very practical but clearly the owners have aimed for high quality furnishings. As stated it’s nice experience but needs more hands on management attention.

Stay HERE! Truly 5 real stars. All facilities are fabulous: rooms, public areas, restaurant, rooftop bar, everything. I wish I could simply move in! Wonderful, truly controllable air conditioning in our room (more of a suite!). Breakfast was marvelous. Restaurant and rooftop bar staff treated us spectacularly nice. May I please recommend Riad Fes completely. Experience from mid-late May 2025.

Beautiful. Looking back I would never stay in a hotel in the Medina. Super noisy. Weird set up. Service was extremely slow. Housekeeping lacking. They care. Just can’t step up. Koby is beautiful and the may serve the most insane cookies with the tea.
