The food here is always amazing. It never disappoints. The vibe of this restaurant is unique also. They're always playing sone good rock classics and 90s 2000s alternative as well which the nostalgia alone makes the experience even better. The ribs are so tender the meat comes completely off there no meat left on the bone. And their spicey ranch sauce on top of the BBQ sauce is the extra kick which makes ever bite so flavorful. The Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes are on point. That's what brought me into this place to begin with . The pix of the Mac n mashies from Google I could tell it was going to be bomb. 100/1 recommend this restaurant. I've brought multiple friends here to enjoy this and they all love it .

Quiet little spot with only a few tables inside and one outside, nice atmosphere though. We got ribs this time, but will absolutely go back to try the sandwiches and tacos.

Great BBQ. Its not dripping in juice but not dry, meat is tender has great flavor rub is great and I like that you can choose heat level. Sauce is well balanced not vinegary not too sweet just enough with some smoke and a kick of heat. We got the beef rib combo with sauce on the side and taco combo and they did half pork and half beef. Sides are good, mac and cheese was good (not runny but good amount of cheese sauce), mash was good just the right enough butter and cream not too heavy. Very happy we stopped here food wasn’t heavy but packed with flavor! If you’re here for the theme park or tour or whatever and have a craving for bbq this place will not disappoint.

Tried this joint for the first time tonight. I got the beef sandwich and my husband got the mixed ribs plate. All so tasty although my husband had a slight preference for the pork over the beef. The mac and cheese had nice cheese flavor. Usually I prefer a creamier slaw but the vinegar slaw actually complimented the richness of the meat nicely. Always happy to support a local spot!

One of my coworkers came back from lunch absolutely raving about this spot, and honestly? He undersold it. Ribs Against the Machine is one of those rare finds that hits you before you even park the car. The smoky, slow-cooked aroma floats down the street like it knows exactly what it’s doing. Walk in, and the vibe is just right. Cozy, warm, unpretentious. The kind of place where you immediately feel like you’re in good hands. I had a chance to chat with the owner/chef, and the man is as passionate as he is humble. He told me a bit about his journey, from pop-up hustle to finally opening their brick-and-mortar and it genuinely made the food hit even harder. You can taste the dedication. Every bite feels like someone really gave a damn. Let’s talk ribs. The beef ribs? A masterpiece. It’s tough to find spots that even offer them, let alone do them right. Here, they’re fall-off-the-bone tender with this unreal bark, and they offer three dry rub heat levels. I went for medium and it was chef’s kiss. Great barbecue never needs sauce, but their sauce? Dangerous. I asked for it on the side, just to see how the meat held up solo (it held up perfectly), but I had to dip into the sauce after, and I’m so glad I did. Sweet, tangy, just enough kick. Sides? I grabbed the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Creamy, comforting, and honestly, the portions were so generous I turned it into two meals. No complaints. This place is a gem!!

Just picked up food for the family at Ribs against the Machine, on Glenoaks. It’s real real good! Started with pork tacos which were crazy good! Ordered a Beef rib plate which came with a big scoop of mashed potatoes, corn bread and 2 huge ribs. Next was a beef bowl which had a huge portion of beef rib over 1/2 Mac n cheese, 1/2 mashed, with sauce. Everything had a dry rub on it which is flavorful but not heavy and really good sauce which I ordered on the side . Definitely going back and next time ordering as they make it with the pickles and slaw. Simple menu, nice people, great bbq… 🍖

I went here twice very good ribs. Owner is a very nice guy. I like him very much is a good guy. He always tries to give me something on the house. Last time was a soda and this time was extra ribs. I will definitely come back again, brother good job.

When I saw the name of this bbq joint I knew I had to check them out. I will say, however, the Rage Against the Machine play on words ends with the name and a tiny picture of the singer & guitarist inside. Beyond that, the food is just named what it is & the interior of the restaurant feels more NYC themed than even rock & roll. However, that doesn't change the fact that they put out a delicious product. I really wanted to taste everything, but instead opted for the rib sandwich (with beef at the employees' recommendations) with a side of fries and slaw. I will say right off the bat, if you don't like vinegar, don't get the slaw. It was way too vinegar forward for my taste. But if that's your thing, go for it. The sandwich though? Delicious. The sauce definitely masked any taste of the meat, but the meat was tender and melt in your mouth soft. You could see them pull out 3 big beef ribs, strip off the meat, and throw it in the sandwich. It was that fresh. Once I devoured the sandwich, I had to see what the pork tasted like so I opted for a single pork taco. Honestly, I think I preferred the pork to the beef (once again, I still think the beef was delicious). The flavor of the pork definitely still shined even with the sauces on the taco. And the amount of pork was very generous. They're absolutely not skimping on meat here. The employees were very friendly. Not overly chatty, but offered good suggestions, checked in on me, and made sure my short visit there was a good one. In all, this was an absolutely delicious meal. The next time I am in the Burbank area I am absolutely coming back for more.

Amazing!! My wife & I have been following them around since they were in the parking lot in Hollywood. They moved to Glendale at a bar and now they have their own location in Burbank! Proud of these guys and proud to still want to come back! The ribs are epic! The Sauces, Spices all on point!! Definitely will continue the support

Good and helpful service at the counter. The ribs are fall off the bone tender with a nice rub. The medium bbq sauce on the side (you can choose from 4 sauces and get it on the side or already on the ribs) was perfect. The Mac and cheese is pretty average, but the vinegar slaw paired nicely with the sweetness in the sauce. The interior is clean and pleasant to eat there -- but it is small There are only a handful of tables. Support small business though! We found a great BBQ spot in Burbank! Let's keep them going so we always have one!

Great local neighborhood bbq spot but I wouldn't drive 1 hour for. I thought the coleslaw was pretty good with an acidic dressing which I prefer over the creamier one. The Mac and cheese tastes floury and it wasn't not my favorite. The brisket sandwich was really great. I love the sweet smokiness of the brisket and how it was tender and had a bit of chew at the same time. However the portion size was pretty small for 20 dollars. I've been to other bbq places offering bigger portions of sides and meats. I also got mild heat but I think their sauce is more on the sweeter side and I would recommend getting at least medium since I thought the mild had 0 heat. Overall a great local spot if you're craving bbq but I personally think there's better bbq spots in Los Angeles.

This place is absolutely worth the trip! First time here and ordered the Beef Rib Sandwich, it was a 10/10! Cool vibe as well and we will definitely be back soon.

If you're around the area and are craving some bbq I would highly recommend this place. I went in at 10 pm and order the number 2 hot level with mash potatoes and cornbread. When I got my meal he also asked if it was my first time and I said "Yes" and told me to also let him know how much I'll enjoy it. I took the first bite of the cornbread and it was great it was moist not too dry and had great flavor. The mash potatoes was also good it was a good amount of mash potatoes and buttery once it went it my mouth it was light and fluffy no need for gravy. For the pull pork sandwich I had no complaints either, very flavorful and the bbq sauce had excellent spice and tangy-ness also wanted to add good amount of meat. Definitely will be bring my friends over here.

Had a great experience for my first time. Michael and Emil were helpful, offered the opportunity to sample both the pork and beef meat. I really liked the pork rib sample. Took a Pork Rib Sandwich combo home, with an extra sandwich. My thoughts: the sandwich was tasty, but I wish it was a bit larger. The sides were very generous. I had mashed potatoes and cole slaw. The mashed potatoes were good. The cole slaw was a bit vinegary for my liking, though I finished it. As it also appears on the sandwich where it was a good flavor note there; Just a bit much on its own. Next time, I'll go for just the ribs as the samples I had were great.

Inflated reviews don't help anyone. People work hard for their money. Uber Eats was not a factor in the review. I exclusively order food from Uber Eats and DoorDash now--just check my previous reviews. A lot of people relied on my glowing review in 2019, tried this place, and later messaged me that it tasted like leftovers. This was so frequent that I felt an updated review was in order in 2024. Just imagine how bad it must have been to private message a complete stranger on Yelp. I am downgrading to one star. Further messages will be ignored. I am including the messages for transparency. Through UberEats, the fees are just as much as the meal, so I was really keeping my fingers crossed! I ordered 6 beef ribs. It's been 5 years since I was a weekly regular at their pop-up, but I remember the taste as if it were yesterday. I think it's safe to say they have pivoted. There is no charcoal taste. There is no vinegar mop. Medium heat in the past would have me sh*tting fire. Medium heat now is mild. There is still definitely smoke flavor, perhaps they're using offset or even a pellet grill now, my palate is not so refined to be able to tell. My Beef Ribs definitely tasted more Central Texas "low and slow" than the "hot and fast" from 5 years ago. I never had to use the sauce in the past, but ribs I got were quite dry. Their sauce is very reminiscent of the sauce used at Phil's BBQ in San Diego--very heavy tomato base--vinegary with a sweet finish. Sauce is not bad! But if it's yet another middling Central Texas style bbq place...I got dozens of backyard bbq warriors on speed dial already for that.

This place is delicious! I popped in one afternoon and grabbed a bowl - pork w/ fries and mac and cheese. OMG. THE BEST. The flavors meshed very well together. The staff was super friendly and the owner was even in the kitchen which is very rare to see. He was so nice and accommodating. I sent my boyfriend their way later the next day for dinner where we got two rib plates and again it was delicious. If you're in the area and like BBQ this is the place.

SAVORY, FLAVORFUL, and so TENDER! Just a few words to describe the ribs we tried today!!! My bestie and I decided to give this place a try after hearing about them from so many friends. Their ribs were amazing!!!!!! The flavor was perfect and the meat was super juicy. If you haven't tried them and are in the mood for bomb ribs, try this place out!!!!! 10/10 recommend, and will definitely be back again! Ps, their service was superb! Everyone was so kind and down to earth!

Wanted to try this place for a while and finally had a chance to. I'm gonna give it 4 stars because the ribs and the flavor is very good, but the mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese are not good. It's missing flavor I think the mashed potatoes might be instant because there's no flavor or cream, like you can't mess up mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese 2 easy things to make. If the sides get fixed I'll definitely go back.

I've never once gone to a place twice and reviewed it twice but this establishment clearly deserves it. I've never felt such good value for my money and even though I called about 30 min before closing, they were more than helpful and friendly and they even gave me a bonus rib. Genuine good people behind this place, food delicious, atmosphere amazing.

The bbq pork sandwich was phenomenal. Great flavor, a little Smokey, tender and addictively tasty. The mashed potatoes are creamy, buttery and warm. Love the bbq sauce too! I'll definitely be coming back.

Great BBQ place! We are always looking for places that sell beef ribs and this place did not disappoint! We ordered the sauces on the side (personal preference) and we were really pleased with how well the meat was bbqed as well as their sides. We tried all of them except the slaw, but the sandwich had some of it in it. Service was great, and the location was well lit and clean. The restaurant is not very big, so I'm not sure how busy it is during prime meal times. However, we did see a lot of people order take out while we were having a late dinner. Overall it was a great experience and we will come back.

I came here wanting to support local small businesses and as a big fan of bbq but the food is just meh at best. I got the beef ribs and it was the driest ribs I've ever had. The best thing I enjoyed was the Mac and cheese and bread but the place was super disappointing for a bbq joint. Pork ribs weren't as dry but would rather eat at wood ranch down the street if I'm paying for my food.

Yo! I've ordered a handful of times from here. Last night the ribs tasted weird and so did the Mac n cheese aaaand I got so sick! I will spare the details. I liked your ribs, the sides were never anything to write home about, but I kept coming back for the ribs. Sad to say this relationship is over! Everything tasted old and I shoulda listened to my intuition!

Great food. Very friendly owner. However ran out of a lot of items when we went for dinner. They just had a TickTock review and was swamped for lunch, so we're out of a lot of items, including beer. Definitely will try again.

I was hyped to try this place after all the rave reviews. What a major disappointment. This place has a lot of work to do. I seriously doubt the authenticity of these positive reviews. The staff seemed to have issues with each other--there was complete silence between them while I waited for my order. The fries were stale and tasted store-bought. The BBQ sauce was clearly not homemade, and the BBQ sandwich was inconsistently heated, with parts cold and others hot. To top it off, they used Wonder Bread for the sandwich, which felt cheap and unappetizing. I'm not sure where even all the meats are made but it's definitely not inside the business. P.S. If you're going to wear gloves to serve food, please don't use the same gloves to text and then handle customers' food.

I was in the area and decided to check this spot out because I was craving bbq. Also, the name was pretty funny, so it piqued my interest. Armen, the owner, was very friendly/welcoming and gave me a recommendation. As we got our food, he was kind enough to throw some stuff in on the house, taking the time to talk with me and my friend and tell us about the spot. The food was delicious, I got the bbq pork sandwich, and my friend got the bowl. Both were tasty and would definitely come back. I'd recommend anyone to check this place out if you're in the area!

Food felt like it was reheated, we came on a Sunday afternoon, place was dead. The BBQ sandwich tasted like something we can buy at chili's. Fries were crisps and savory, the mash potatoes were buttery but needed more flavor overall the food was satisfactory but this would not be my first spot for BBQ. We had to wait for our food to be prepared. Ambiance was pretty confusing and felt like it had unfinished furnishing sort of an identity crisis

I started a new project near by and every morning i get a wiff of the ribs cooking, so after a few days of smelling the delicious ribs cooking i drove by to see what's up . I was greeted so well and i was able to try some ribs. My man went above and beyond and treated me with high quality so best believe the food will be the same! Unfortunately i didnt take a picture of the ribs and mash potatoes i was so excited to eat

Great BBQ pork sandwich! I got a standalone sandwich (wasn't super hungry at the time) and my boyfriend got his with a side of the curly fries and coleslaw -- the coleslaw was the perfect complement to the BBQ, with the vinegar-y tang and crunch that it provided. The inside sitting area was roomier than we thought it'd be, which was great on a hot day. We were also able to try a cornbread + ice cream dessert that they offered us toward the end of our meal, and that was absolutely the highlight of my time there -- we ate it all up, as it was so incredibly delicious (especially with the warm cornbread having a slightly crispy top and juxtaposed with the cold ice cream), but most of all, I really appreciated the hospitality of the staff to offer that to us so kindly. Really glad that my partner looked on Yelp and found this place, since I unfortunately wouldn't have been able to, since Ribs Against the Machine wasn't listed on Google Maps yet (which is where I usually look to find options to choose from). All the guys at the shop were so friendly and seemed so passionate about their food and establishment, I can't help but want to support them and want to see them succeed. If you're ever in the area and want some BBQ with friendly, great service, definitely check these guys out!!

My family and I stopped here because the name intrigued us, the guys inside were so nice and the food was BOMB! next time we visit again we're stopping by again!

This is a small place, we are always more than 6 people, I have a huge family, today we were 14, so the restaurant was almost full, just 4 more tables, but the service was amaizing the guy who attended us talked with us in English, Spanish and French, really really nice this are the type of business you hope to conquer the world, the food it was incredible the taste was from another planet, keep working hard the future is yours!!! We are going to come back again .

Excellence! I've been itching to come here since the summer. Long wait, huge pay off! The items I got today were pork ribs, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes. My girlfriend and I shared this with a Dr Pepper and were satisfied and wanted more. As we were about to order we were surprised with 2 brisket tacos! And they were incredible! I think their slaw on the tacos was a nice touch. I got medium spice for my ribs and it was very mild so don't be scared! I will say the Mac and mash both needed more butter garlic or salt but when combined with the ranch and the BBQ sauce they were incredible. My perfect bite on the brisket tacos was with pickle, mac, and extra sauce. Speaking of pickles... WOW! I asked for an extra side of pickles and was given a nice ramaken full! They are acidic, crunchy, and flavorful! I need to know what brand they are! The toast on the combo plate was very good too. Toasted, buttered, and absorbed whatever rib pieces fell. All around an excellent food establishment with excellent proprietors. Will be back to try everything I missed!! Thank you ribs against the machine!!!!

Great service, great ribs. Ribs could have used a little more flavor but the bbq sauce and house sauce are great. Cornbread is really tasty but the mashed potatoes I'm pretty sure are instant potatoes. Overall definitely satisfied the bbq craving and will be going back.

If I could give this restaurant more stars, I would. I needed a turkey for Thanksgiving and I can't express this enough- they prepared the BEST smoked turkey my family and I had! Highly recommend this spot for either a quick fix or for catering.

Truly awful. The meats were alternately undercooked and burnt. The alleged slaw was some wet cabbage in a puddle of white liquid. The mac and cheese was worse than what you'd get out of a box. I've seen better cornbread at Starbucks. Ultimately, it did kinda scratch the itch for BBQ, but really more in the sense that I didn't want anymore for a while afterwards. Avoid if you can at all help it.

Now located at the former Ameci Glenoaks location, RAM brings ridiculously yummy meaty BBQ accessible to Burbank and Glendale where a memorable great BBQ was lacking. Keeping it purist, no hiding that luscious, clean, flavorful, slightly spicy dry rub meat under heaps of unnecessary sauce! That said, the side of BBQ sauce was great tasting as well! Baby backs were our fave; just right where you can bite/pull the meat off the bone with satisfaction but no wars with gristle or toughness and no messy fall off. Take it from our toddler who ate his dinner clean off the bone. Haha! Service is top notch, kind and fair guys running a respectable business right.

This place is pretty good as far as quality of the meats and sides. But portion wise, was relatively small. I don't mind paying extra for more portion. But definitely will come back to explore menu items

Since covid, my bf and I had been trying to try this place! We finally had a chance and IT WAS WORTH IT! Too good to get a picture of the food. The staff gave 1000% of their service and made sure everything was good! Thanks Michael and Armen for making the best ribs and having such a nice, relaxing, laid back ambiance.

My order consisted of bone and skin there was no meat on my ribs and to top it off the sides looked and tasted like they were 1 week old

Wow! The food here is amazing! I had the BBQ pork sandwich with mac-n-cheese and coleslaw. My son had the beef ribs, mashed potatoes and fries. My son said they were the best ribs he had ever had! Meat falls off the bone good! Service was great. Air conditioner was out so they brought us a yummy ice cream desert. Would highly recommend!
