"Ricardo’s, the 24-hour Mexican restaurant, plans to close after nearly 41 years in business. Owner Bob Ansara tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal that once Gov. Steve Sisolak lets restaurants reopen for dine-in service, his business will close for good. Ansara says the reopening “doesn’t make any sense” since restaurants will have to add social distancing protocols once they reopen. Since pivoting to takeout and delivery service daily from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Ansara says his restaurant does about 20 percent of its regular sales. He cut his staff of 67 down to four. Gov. Steve Sisolak ordered all nonessential businesses including dine-in restaurants to close on March 17 to prevent the spread of COVID-19. He extended his stay-at-home order through May 15, and hopes that dine-in restaurants can reopen with social distancing practices once he lifts his directive. Ansara says other factors led his to decide to close, including the changing demographics of his neighborhood at the corner of Flamingo Road and Decatur Boulevard and the amount of money he’d need to reinvest in the restaurant to get it to up to full operation again, a process he predicts will take 18 months." - Susan Stapleton

Food excellent. Great break away from the Strip. We had a group of ten. It was all good words from all for the meal and the service. I had the Enchilada Southwest with a taco. Really, really good.

We found this place online desperate for good, late night food. We were not dissapointed at all! Being from Dallas, describe it as a Tex-Mex styled restaurant. The decor/ambiance was nice, the food bursting with flavor, and the Strawberry Margarita prepared perfectly! We LOVED it!

This was OK but not the great Mexican food experience I was hoping for. I ordered Nachos, a drink and some tacos and my bill was around $40. Doesn't that seem insanely high? Like I said, the food was good but not great. The service was OK and the ambiance was standard sit-down Mexican restaurant. I will not be back.

Love this place. We showed up here at 1am with a party of 10, and still received great service. The waiter was nice, patient and fast. He was very knowledgeable of the menu. We had some people in our party that had not had Mexican food, he explained to the T different dishes. The margaritas were delicious, the kids tried the non alcoholic versions. They also hold a world record for biggest Margarita.

This place is a decent Mexican food restaurant to start off the hot sauce is a little runny too watery it is a Sunday they have a buffet the food is fresh the meat is a little spicy clean restaurant has little banquet room or wedding reception was going on in the back room where they cater to the reception the service was okay it did have a good atmosphere

They deserve all 5 stars, but there is no such thing as a perfect world. I'm kidding. I enjoy the atmosphere, staff, and food. No matter if it's 4:20 am or 12noon the service is always the same. I like the lil tv's in all the booths. Haven't figured out if the can all play separate channels or if the bar TV is main hub. Carnitas Verde Burrito was really good. And their hot salsa, yeah buddy, it's hot. When you in Vegas, this is the place to eat good mexican food.

Every Vegas trip, I always have to stop by this place for their menudo. So delicious, staff is very friendly and the chips, beans and salsa were great. Always superior! Raul (waiter) was so great with his customer service! Manager really needs to praise this guy!
