Fantastic halal Mediterranean restaurant! The lamb shank was amazing! Everything else we tried was delicious as well. Fast, friendly service. Seated immediately for lunch on a Sunday. Accommodating to young children. Highly recommended!

With my wife being Lebanese we have tried Mediterranean and the like types of food all across the world and I'd have to say that this experience as we were traveling to the Bay Area certainly was disappointing. The grape leaves AKA dolmas had lemon and honey drizzled over them - that was a first. The falafel wrap seemed kind of spicy, but not a flavor spice more of an ingredient spice, couldn't make out what that was. The hummus came with a giant tortilla instead of actual pita. The salad didn't have any dressing, and the kibbe seem more like a kabob that actual baked kibbe itself. The tzatziki as a side cost $8 which for just wanting a little bit of a side sauce seem like a little excessive. We didn't get any utensils with our order and it was stapled together by the restaurant before our driver delivered it to us. For a restaurant with such a high rating and the high prices I don't know if they were having an off day or if they cater to dine-in customers more so than delivery but I certainly would not go back again.

In such a lively neighborhood with so many flashy places around, Ricco feels like treasure hidden in plain sight. I must have walked by a dozen times and I feel like a complete fool for not giving them a shot sooner. The food is phenomenal. First off, the dolma was the best I’ve ever had in my life. Seems simple, rice wrapped in grape leaves, right? But it was exceptional. The lamb kebab was delicious, the veggies were buttery and garlicky and perfectly cooked, the rice was flavorful, and that whole roasted tomato was like a nostalgia bomb that brought me back to my childhood. The restaurant itself is really nice too (they don’t always have little skeleton farmers atop the bar but hey it’s Halloween), and the staff is attentive and friendly. Stop scrolling around trying to figure out what you want to eat tonight. You found it, this is it.

Best Mediterranean in the Marina! Everything tasted fresh and healthy, but still super flavorful. The owner was very friendly too - everything made us feel at home. They've got these gorgeous painted ceilings and fancy cutlery that tie everything together. This place is definitely flying under the radar, total gem.

Exceptionally nice food, high quality service. The marinated chicken kebab was one of the nicest I’ve tasted, succulent and moist and the basmati rice was cooked to perfect, very many thanks for making my dining experience so nice.

Had the Caesar salad with lamb. Also had Salmon dish with whipped potatoes and vegetables. Good portion sizes. Very tasty and flavorful. Nice location. Highly recommend.

This restaurant recently opened. We went here for dinner on Fri, 24 May 2024 and the food was great -- they have done a really nice job on the interior design, and the service was good also. We enjoyed the Koubideh rolls (ground beef in thin bread), Greek salad, Pomegranate chicken, Koubideh kabab, and others. Very reasonable prices and great food. We would definitely go again.

Recently opened, authentic and modern atmosphere. Great location, and reasonable prices We visited for Sunday lunch and enjoy the food and service overall. A Lady server was nice and very sincere. They are still in process's to be better, but not bad at all considering a new opened restaurant. Flavor of the food in general very well Kabobs and cold Mezes are tasty they use correct amount saffron flavor in the food they serve. Give it a try! Wont be disappointed! Good wine selection goes well with the food. We were satisfied from our visit.

Wanted to try a Mediterranean spot in the marina so we ended up here, there is quite interesting decor with pictures and a painted sky ceiling! Spanakopita: A Koubideh Rolls: B+ Dolma: B Babaghanoush: B- Koubideh Kebob: B The spanakipita was easily my favorite appetizer and dish here, super crispy and tastes great. The koubideh rolls are interesting and quite good, same with the koubideh kebob. It's ground beef seasoned and cooked well.

The ambiance was nice and the decor inside was beautiful. However, the food itself was ok at best. The rice covered in olive leaves was the best thing on the menu, but the rest of the food was not anything special. The chicken was very dry and could have used more seasoning. The service was also ok. We were the only customers when I arrived, but the waitress was very slow. She was very nice when she did serve us, but we had to wait a long time for our checks and even after we asked we had to wait for a while for her to come back.

Customer service was great service was great you don't wait to long for your food your greeted as soon as you walk in nice set up. I went for my birthday I would definitely go again but today was the last day of them being open the owner is shutting the doors

Food: Hands down some of the best koobideh kabob I've ever had in my life. It was perfectly cooked. Juicy, flavorful, and two long delicious pieces that were the right amount of food and still filling. It's definitely the best koobideh I've had in California (right up there with Aladdin's in Ohio - but Ohio is too far to go for koobideh)! The rest of the plate was also fresh and delicious. The rice, salad, hummus... no complaints here. It is a solid meal for someone looking for high quality cuisine. Service: We were seated promptly, served promptly, and checked in on throughout the meal at perfectly timed intervals. I got my wine refills and had no complaints. Ambiance: The restaurant is well lit but still a decent spot if you're taking a date. It's not that big of a restaurant but still fit our stroller since we came out with two babies. I had to change a diaper there so I can attest that the restroom was clean (single user but large enough to roll the stroller into) and the changing table was clean. I can't think of a better experience with Mediterranean food that I've had in a while. I unfortunately don't live in NorCal otherwise I would absolutely make the trip and return for more since good food like this is so hard to come by. If you're in the SF bay area, do yourself a favor and stop by here!

Delicious food, quite empty on a Sunday evening for dinner but the service was outstanding, very friendly and attentive. The mixed appetizer dish was fantastic, hummus was so fresh tasting. The chicken kebab entree was equally as yummy with well cooked but not dry chicken. Recommended!

We were so surprised to see our experience didn't match the Yelp reviews. We came in on a Friday afternoon and the place was empty which, in hindsight, should have been a clue. The woman server was not friendly and was on her phone the whole time we were there. The worst part of the experience was the calamari which was rock hard. Most of the service was fried/breaded shallots or red onions but the calamari rings were rock hard. I ordered a combo lunch plate that had half a gyro, chicken, humus and Greek salad. The gyro was okay. The chicken was extremely dry and sat on Dijon mustard which over powered the taste. The humus and Greek salad were meh. We were given water but when I asked my niece is she wanted something else to drink the server walked away. And got on her phone again. A disappointing experience considering what the other Yelp reviews have posted.

We were walking by looking for a place for dinner, and we came across this place. I walked inside to see if there is options for vegetarian and also if there was Halal options. It made a choice really easy when they said they had both. We walked in during dinner around 530 place was not very packed so we were able to sit wherever we wanted very. It is a spacious restaurant. They did take some time to take her order, but not a complaint. Food came out pretty fast. Everything from my standpoint seemed delicious as far as my friends that were with me, they said that their food was great as well.

A great new addition to cow hollow/marina, had the best time here! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We went at 6pm on a Saturday and it was relatively quiet compared other restaurants in the neighborhood. Perfect for a date or catching up with friends.

Had a fabulous lunch here today and sad to report, they will be shuttering in three weeks. Every item we tasted on the menu was superbly fresh and prepared perfectly. Highly recommend you enjoy a meal while you still can... we're going back this Saturday night for dinner!

Nice neighborhood gem. They server Mediterranean food with a few Persian cuisine items. We really enjoyed the food and it is reasonably priced. We are coming back.

Fantastic addition to the Cow Hollow/marina "triangle" district! If you haven't already experienced this lovely new Mediterranean restaurant, you should go there soon! I wish I had remembered to take a photo of the atmospheric interior of the restaurant with its painted sky ceiling and beautiful pictures which make you feel like you're on vacation in the Mediterranean. The lamb shank dinner was my favorite and cooked to perfection. The lamb kebabs were also very tasty and tender. I was a little disappointed with the moussaka, because I was expecting the Greek style with bechamel sauce on top, but it still tasted very good. They also offer complimentary pita bread and dip which is so delicious! The staff there are extremely friendly and very attentive/pleasant. I highly recommend this restaurant-- I know we will be repeat customers there!

Service is great, brand new space super clean. Food delicious! Recommend: - Baba ganush (fantastic flavor) - pomegranate chicken has the most amazing crispy skin and seasoning, super tender and juicy - I got the chicken kebab and added a beef koobideh to it and it was perfectly seasoned, tender, and extremely flavorful - Persian tea was also delish! Don't forget to ask for sumac to put all over the dish! Pricing is standard for Mediterranean. We will be back!

Very solid new Mediterranean restaurant in Cow Hollow. Very spacious and welcoming small staff with big ambitions and large servings. We had the Moussaka, pomegranate chicken and filet mignon kebabs. All delicious and sizable. My only suggestion is plate them with more inspiring veggies than carrots and broccoli. Caesar salad had a unique, lemony dressing. The mezze sampler was great and accompanied by nicely toasted thin pita. Great new addition to the neighborhood. Come hungry.

We were so excited to try this place but felt that the food fell a little flat to our expectations. We started with the Calamari and The Lamb was cooked perfectly but the sides had little flavor. I loved the ambiance and our server was incredible but I would give this place a few months being open before going back

Food was great! We got the sampler platter, Greek salad, pomegranate chicken, and the salmon - would recommend it all.

Ordered the chicken skewers plate. One chicken skewer, mount of bland rice absolutely drenched in butter, vegetables over cooked and also drenched in butter. Everything including the chicken was drenched in butter. Never been more disappointed in a Mediterranean meal. If you like Mediterranean food go to Bursa in west portal or truly Mediterranean on 16th No spice just bland buttered over cooked food

Food was yummy and hit the spot! Great service and such nice people. I'd come back here for a kebab or salad. Koobideh - solid koobideh, slightly different than your usual persian restaurant's, but still fire. Rice was buttery and cooked well. Greek Salad - good, with lettuce. Refreshing and fresh.

I walked by their lunch special sign a few weeks ago and been meaning to try. There are no Greek restaurants in the area (Souvla doesn't count...), so I was very excited! Got their lunch platter for $18.99 and it was delish and everything I wanted in my Greek food! Traditional ingredients and very fresh. There was also a ton of food, which I loved the variety of getting a bit of everything (wrap, side kebab, hummus, salad!). Whatever they're marinating the kabob in, I need to put on everything. This is going to be my new weekly lunch spot. I can't wait to try the other wrap flavours. Also, the mgmt was so kind. For just takeout, I got a white tablecloth laid out while I waited outside with my pup, and a water bowl. Thank you so much :)

I ordered a Caesar salad. I checked the description multiple times. There was no place to add a note in the order (they don't take special orders). So I figured since they listed every single ingredient, croutons would not be added. I received the order and it arrived with croutons. I can't tell you if the salad tastes good because I gave it away. Also, no cutlery in the bag!

what's not to like?! quality fresh food with filling portions - yet, i always feel healthy when i leave! the owner is *incredibly* kind and hard working. spotless clean restaurant with beautiful window boxes full of flowers and spotless windows show how much attention to detail and pride this place takes in their restaurant. we are lucky to have this gem in the marina!

Based on friends' recommendation as well as public reviews, I decided to try Ricco today. Ordered the Chicken Kebab (dinner menu) to go, and was highly impressed. The flavor of the chicken was just right, not overly seasoned, and tender. The rice was seasoned with saffron (I think); and the vegetables were just right ---not overcooked. So by the time I got home and (slightly) reheated everything, it was perfect. Kudos to the nice and friendly owner, Mahnaz, who chatted with me about the restaurant. I liked the interiors: the ceiling was painted beautifully like a mural; the tables and chairs new; and the bar clean and new as well. Her husband, a contractor, did most of the work in designing and reworking the interior which makes the restaurant warm and inviting. Would definitely return to try other items on the menu. Thank you!

This is a great neighborhood Mediterranean spot for locals. It's a bit bright inside and the ambiance needs some dimming. Food is yummy.

What a fantastic lunch! Went with my Greek cousin. We were both impressed with the combination platter; the babaghanosh was so fresh, the hummus delicious and the dolmas with pomegranate sauce amazing. I had the Greek salad with chicken, beautifully grilled and juicy. She had the salmon which she said was excellent. Would definitely come back. Lovely server and warm atmosphere. Would love to see more people come and support this business. They just opened 8 months ago. I'll be going back.

Greatest lunch special of all time! Lunch Special #1: Salad, chicken skewer, hummus & pita, beef/lamb gyro for $18.99! Fresh, delicious, healthy satisfaction. Wish they were open everyday for lunch but right now i think it's Thursday-Sunday. Thanks Ricco!

Ordered both the lamb shank and moussaka via DoorDash. You'll never get away with such small portions when serving inside the restaurant. The lamb shank in particular was baby size to fit a small plastic tray. Not good for your reputation...

I just love this place! The food is always delicious, and the owner is so kind and provides excellent service. My son especially loves the lunch specials, and the prices are very reasonable. If you haven't tried this place yet, you definitely should! I come here almost every week and it never disappoints.

My husband and I came here for a casual weeknight dinner and loved it! The food was excellent and the service was also great.

Have been passing by this place since they opened recently and finally stopped in to give them a try. We got a pleasant table by the window for drinks and snacks. We ordered some bubbles to start off and were given a complimentary dip with pita. This was a delicious way to start off and the flavors were delicate and delightful. We only ordered 2 apps. The Koubideh Rolls and the Spanakopita. Both were prepared very well, with tasty and fresh flavors. The real star was the koubideh rolls. The beef was very nicely and deliciously seasoned and tender. We even used some of the condiments that came with the spanakopita to round out some of these bites. Overall, everything was fresh and tasty. I would definitely like to return and have a full dinner here. I saw some plates come out of the kitchen that looked absolutely delicious. Make sure to stop by and give them a try and welcome them to the neighborhood!

Love this spot - it wasn't on my radar at all and I'm so glad we found it. The ambiance is wonderful. I love the space. The service is superb - attentive and high quality. The flavors were impressive in every dish we tried. I'm picky about dolmas and the ones here are delicious. I will definitely come back, it's a great spot for a date or bringing out of town guests, and the prices are reasonable so it's a good spot for a casual meal as well. Five stars!

Yes, yes, yes! Awesome food! The man who welcomed us gave us the option to sit by the windows, or have the ocean view . We got the one by the window. The portions were generous, and it was a lovely lunch! Keep up the good work, Ricco Mediterranean!

The food was really fresh and delicious! The restaurant was recently remodeled with an uplifting theme, and the waitress was friendly and professional. I highly recommend this restaurant as a place to eat for business or pleasure.

My household LOVES Ricco's!! The gyros are awesome and the service is always great. ONLY suggestion would be to consistently have the skinny fries, they are phenomenal and we are pumped every time we get them with our meal!

Such an amazing meal! My boyfriend and I were shopping in Cow Hollow and were looking for something yummy, but relatively healthy so we thought of Mediterranean food! I've never had moussaka, and it was life changing!! As a fan of lasagna, this was like that but so meaty with the eggplant and ground beef and the lamb sauce was so fragrant! The buttery steamed veggies were also a nice side to the dish. The kebab was so tender, juicy, and fragrant as well--it's some of the best kebab I've had! The combo platter was so nice to try all the appetizers on one plate and the portion was pretty generous! I was halfway full after the combo platter. The decor of the place is so cute as well! They made the ceiling curved so it feels like you're sitting in one of the Santorini blue domes :) We will be back!

This Mediterranean restaurant is legit. Staff is very polite and attentive, and every dish is super flavorful. Strong recommend it!

Best grape leaves I've ever had! I think they add pomegranate sauce to them which makes them a bit sweeter and delicious!

Amazing experience. Food was incredible! Service was kind and quick. Felt like I was back in Greece! Clean and nice atmosphere.

Staff was as nice as can be but maybe they were just understaffed which is why it took a really long time to get our drinks and our appetizers. Felt like the kitchen was able to feed only one table at a time. Daughter ordered chicken kebab which was undercooked. Son ordered filet/steak kebab which was very under-seasoned. The best dish was the shrimp and rice. Shrimp cooked and seasoned well. The shrimp were delicious.

Highly recommend! The Lunch Special is a great deal!!! 4 items for $18.99. I had #3, hummus, salad, gyros, and chicken kebob (3 pieces of chicken). The gyros as a single item is $14. For $5 more, you get 3 additional items, better than ordering individually. I was sooooo full from the hummus and bread, that I brought the gyros home to eat later. The chicken was very moist, which I was thrilled about because I don't like dry meat. Tasted my friend's beef kabob and it was juicy! Friendly staff. Nice interior.
