Rice Junky

This spot is super tiny but busy so ordering ahead is a pro tip. There are not any tables for eating, just a counter. I enjoyed the egg-salad sandwich with ham, cucumber, corn, and buttered wheat bread quite a lot. The pork bulgogi onigiri had great flavor, and I was quite impressed by the inventive wrap that separates the nori so that it doesn't get damp. I was not quite so excited by the bacon kimbob, in part because I like my bacon crispy and this wasn't quite there. It's also quite dry. Other Rice Junkies in the Bay Area have a specialty wrap with macaroni salad and a range of sauces, but this seems to be the first one that they're experimenting with toast-based items more. I did not try the Issac toast, which is their signature item here that features an omelet inside of bread. I would go back to try that.

Awesome rice onigri , Korean bibimbap rolls and sandwiches, highly rated and fresh , no seating here but there is a small counter for standing . Love the 3 onigiri for $10 would love to try new stuff all prices are less than $10

Excellent food and quick service. We ordered the smoked salmon sandwich, combo Isaac, ham and cheese Isaac, and the beef kimbap. All had good flavors and tasted fresh. Finally was able to try this place. They close early at 3pm so we never got a chance to try it. So glad we tried it today for an early lunch. Good price for the food. Most items were between $5-8. We will be returning to try their other items. Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved their egg Kimbap—fresh ingredients and very filling. But their sandwiches were a bit too saucy for my taste... I would still come back to try more varieties of Kimbap. :)

I am not sure how to describe how I feel about this place because the combo issac toast that I ordered is something unique. After ordering this twice, the only thing that I can say that this is a good sandwich. Especially at the price it goes for ~8.50 (can't exactly remember) and with tax its goes for about 9.37. The only flaw that I can say about this sandwich is that it can get messy to eat so watch out if you need to make a good impression. Note: Take out only so plan accordingly where you're going to eat. The parking lot can get filled up easily since its in a plaza filled with a lot of other businesses. Would I come back? I definitely would. Rice Junky is such a pleasant surprise! The food is flavorful, fresh, and served in generous portions. Everything tastes well-balanced and satisfying. The staff are friendly and the service is quick, making it perfect for a casual meal or takeout. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

The drink selection was limited; soda, water, and a few Korean drinks in bags. The drinks in a bag would need ice that way it's not too sweet. I ordered the kimchee tuna triangle sushi. That was really good! My husband ordered the bulgogi Kimbap and the meat was super dry. The bulgogi kimbap was packed inside of a small box and about 10 pieces.

It is a take out only place. We got bulgogi bowl, pepper chicken bowl and pink lemonade. The food was delicious. The portions are generous. The quality was pretty good. The lemonade is very potent and comes with ice, pieces of lychees and fresh raspberries. We had to wait for the food to be fixed for about 10 mins. The plaza itself is very sketchy. Rice Junky itself has a nice place. I hope the Plaza will improve over time.

This cute little store was located right across Washington High School in Fremont. We decided to give it a try due to the ratings and the menu. We got the combination Isaac toast and Cheese Ttokbokki. The Isaac toast included so many ingredients: egg pancake, cabbage, avocado, ham and its house sauce. The egg pancake was delicious. It was fluffy and filled with cabbage. The toast itself was crispy and lightly sweet. The Cheese Ttokbokki was a bowel of rice cake, fish cake, cabbage, boiled egg, and melted cheese. I loved the sauce for the Ttokbokki! It was a little spicy but full of flavors. The inside of the store was quite small and there was only bar seating. The ladies were super friendly. It was a great place for Korean street food!

I enjoy coming here for a quick but hearty lunch. The kimbap or Isaac toast sandwiches are a solid choice. I was first tried Isaac toast style sandwiches in South Korea and was surprised that they served something similar here! Definitely similar flavor options. Staff are always nice. I've accidentally been given the wrong order before, so just double check before you walk away. The store and the parking lot are TINY! Simply grab and go.

3.5/5 This place has been bookmarked for a while, and since we were in the vicinity, it was a great time to stop by. We ordered a beef Kimbap and the Isaac toast. Kimbap: 4/5 . Kimbap was flavorful. The kiosk was easy to maneuver through to add or omit ingredients. I would get this again if I was in the area. Isaac Toast: 3/5. This was a little underwhelming. I've never had this before so I don't have anything to compare it to except the standard American sandwich. It was just ok for me. This was fun little shop with sarcastic wordings around the store. Not a sit down place. So, it's a - order at kiosk and go kind of place.

A new favorite in Fremont! I have been dying to try this place but it's close most of the time we are available. I finally got to try it and I am so glad I bookmarked it. This place is next to dominos, in this small little plaza across Washington High. It is very easy to miss, with a small parking lot in front. The inside is very small, I think I remember seeing a long table against the glass window but I am not sure. It's more of a grab and go imo. The ladies that make the food and drinks are quick and very kind. I have tried the isaac toast, gimbap, triangle gimbap, and some of the drinks. All have been very good. My top favorites are definitely the gimbap and isaac toast. Definitely give it a shot if in the area and looking for something quick to eat!

Delicious food and friendly service. The Isaac sandwich was perfect - savory ham/cheese, crunchy cabbage, a little sweetness from the jam. Light and filling at the same time. Staff is very nice - I feel like I am going to my friends house after school and their mom is making us a snack.

I never got a chance to try this place before they simplified their menu so I did go in with limited expectations. Wanting to try something from each category, we got an Isaac Toast (Avocado Isaac Toast), a kimbap (fish cake), and a sandwich (chicken). I expected the Avocado Isaac Toast to have a good amount of avocado or at least visible that I almost went back in to tell them they forgot my avocado until I found a small piece in the bottom 1/3. By then, it was already a soggy mess. The other two were okay but nothing really stood out to me and the Isaac Toast I was most excited to try was disappointing.

I guess it's just not for me. Been here twice. FOOD // Crab and avocado onigiri / triangle - strange how the rice is flavored - very very very little crab - does consist a good amount of avocado that is still green and noticeable - I appreciate that they separate the seaweed with plastic so it's still nice, fresh, and crispy Beef bulgogi kimpap / gimbap - strange they add raw lettuce - rice is not very good... it is very sticky and very unappetizing OVERALL // I am kind of afraid of coming back because it seems as if the food is already made (previously we had to wait) and sitting around...because once I hit the submit button for my orders, a brown bag immediately shows up in my face. SERVICE // - completely a self service kiosk establishment - there is zero service - I saw a Korean carbonated orange can drink on my way out and I tried making conversation with the worker such as if the drink is good in her opinion... it did not work... she just wanted to get out of the room and told me to pay by kiosk (I also saw straws and had to ask if I could grab one.). AMBIENCE // - No indoor seating (they had a wooden or was it plastic bench before but I guess they removed it?). - they do still have a wooden table for those willing to stand and eat - completely to me it is wanting to be a grab and go establishment as much as possible LOCATION // - tiny plaza with laundromat and taekwondo - somewhat complicated parking: does have a parking lot but it's tiny...however there's another adjacent parking lot and you just have to walk Will I come back? Not going to lie, if I was in the area and I wanted something quick and able to simply eat in the car, I would...this place is like an Asian McDonalds and I appreciate that.

After keeping Rice Junky on my wish list for quite some time, I finally had the chance to try it last week. It's a very small, to-go style spot (not dine-in as I originally thought), but that didn't take away from the experience. Service was quick, and ordering was simple. We went for the Avocado Toast, Isaac Toast, and Tteokbokki (my first time trying this South Korean dish). The toasts were the highlight -- especially the unexpected addition of jam. At first, I was hesitant, since I don't usually enjoy mixing sweet and savory, but one bite completely changed my mind. The avocado paired with cabbage, egg, and that light sweet note from the jam was delicious and so well-balanced. For the Tteokbokki, I customized it to be made without fish cakes, and it was fantastic. The sauce was spicy and flavorful, the rice cakes were perfectly chewy, and the vibrant red color was as appetizing as it was tasty. Overall, Rice Junky delivered on flavor in a big way. If you're looking for quick service and bold, unique tastes, this place is a must-try. Highly recommended!

Ordered from DoorDash and it was super fast service and a huge amount of food. I got the egg sandwich, 3 of the triangle bap things and one kimbap. All tastes wonderful. Will go back and try other flavors. The only downside I would say is that their sj store seem to make the triangle bap differently, not sure if it's franchise or family business.

My hubs+I are still enjoying RJunky. Now we have our favs. He loves the chicken salad+ice matcha. Tteobokki is my fav. The sauce is what makes the tteobokki so good. Rice Junky's is amazing, better than restaurants+ Mega Mart. I usually have some leftover sauce--never throw it away!--I add more kimchi+rice cakes or ramen the second day it's just as tasty Tuna/kimchi + both Bulgogi triangles and Kimbaps are fire sooo delish! If I have to refrigerate the Kimbap+ the rice gets cold, dip them in egg, lightly pan fry them--yummo I hope you open a Rice Junky in Sacramento. You'd do great in Pocket area or Freeport Blvd near CK McClatchy/Sac City College area. Tks for providing great food at a reasonable price. So glad ur close to my home ‍

My first visit had some technical issues so I waited for my repeat visit to write a review. I ordered the Isaac Toast both times and I have to say it is authentic and just as good as what you get in Seoul. (Not an exact comparison cuz I had a bulgogi toast) Here the combo had ham and avocado. The mayo, slaw, and jam was what made it stand out and the toast is perfectly crispy. My fav triangle kimbap was the bulgogi -- wish they would offer that as a sandwich. The place is small with no seating. They did try to make it fun and inviting. The Ahjummas were friendly and polite. Definitely come for a authentic meal and get the Isaac Toast. So good! If you want to read about my technical issue ..... Here's what happened on the first visit. After reading the Yelp reviews that recommended ordering ahead due to long lines and small parking lot, I ordered a good variety to sample. Combo Isaac toast, 3 triangle kimbap, fish cake kimbap for a weekday lunch. When I arrived I snagged the last open spot near the laundry mat, I walked in and there was no line, no one actually. So I inquired about my online order but they couldn't find my order. The app said it was waiting for the restaurant to confirm but that was 15 mins ago. The ladies weren't quite sure what to do so I decided to call grubhub support cuz my credit card had already been charged. Good thing I wasn't in a hurry and the crowds mentioned on Yelp weren't there. As I was waiting on the phone, the ladies informed me that they found it in their system and will start making my order. I think they rushed my order cuz I waited maybe 5 more minutes. The second visit I decided to order at the counter and not deal with grubhub. Again no lines no trouble parking. I ordered/paid on the kiosk and my order was done in 5 minutes. Here's the shocker. The Isaac Toast was $10.50 via Grubhub. When you order at the kiosk, it was $8.50!!

Sad to see they no longer offer cocaine chicken bowls here! That was my go to order at this location. I really wish they would consider bringing them back :(

Another quick update as Rice Junky has a completely different menu than what they had initially had when they first opened. I was actually pretty bummed that they didn't have their original menu but we opted to still try them out. In short, one of the rare spots that serve the famous Isaac toasts as well as triangle gimbaps (or Korean style onigiris) as well as gimbaps (kimbaps) and sandwiches. L O C A T I O N In this tiny plaza with very small amount of parking. Depending on when you come there may be tons of spots or barely any. We arrived when there was barely any. There's a laundromat nearby and a pizza place too. I N S I D E It's basically a to-go spot. There's a window side table where you could stand and eat but you're better off grabbing the food and heading somewhere else otherwise you will smell like food. M E N U I mentioned their menu, they have Isaac toast, triangle gimbap, gimbap, sandwiches, coffees and some drinks. ~ Combination Isaac Toast ~ It's a sizeable sandwich and very saucy like it leaked through the paper and through the carton they put it in. It has egg, cheese, meat slice, and shredded cabbage. I wish it had less sauce and perhaps a thicker slice of bread to help offset the amount of filling inside. The balance just felt wrong. But it was hefty. It felt like an okonomiyaki between two slices of buttered toast. ~ Triangle Gimbaps ~ We picked 3: Pork Bulgogi, Beef Bulgogi and Crab Avocado. The wrapper was interesting to make sure that the seaweed didn't completely wilt. But they were all quite good with a good ratio of meat to rice. I did like the crab avocado the best just because it reminds me of a California roll. S E R V I C E Everything is made to order, so it does take a bit of time, but all in all, it took only 10 minutes to get our food and considering we saw people waiting and were about to go to a Plan B, glad we just stuck it out as it wasn't as long as others have said it taking. But I would imagine if it were during school lunch time, you may want to preorder and just pick up. We did do our ordering through the kiosk inside. O V E R A L L I understand the shift from their original concept to this toast and gimbap place. It's a little more cost efficient with less actual meat to prepare outside of the bulgogis. But I do miss the old menu. The Isaac toast was fine, would I get it again? No. Just not something I would gravitate towards but it was nice to try. The gimbaps on the other hand, I do love a gimbap. So I would come back for those as they're relatively priced well in comparison to other places. Also not many spots have gimbaps. Definitely try them out!

Love this place we will be back every time i go to fremont from now on! The shop was small with no place to eat but the staff is fast. it was nice that i could order online and pay at the store. I don't always want to link my card. The food was on point and the drinks so yummy!

I'm definitely a fan! Almost as good as it gets offering feel good (rice-based) Korean street food that everyone would enjoy. From the classic kimbap to Korean styles onigiris to street food inspired toast, whatever you get here will definitely hit the spot when you're craving carb-o-licious-ness. Prices are affordable. Friendly Korean staff, but kiosk only ordering system, Rice Junky at this location is small, and rather loud little store that is take out focused with made to order offerings. So, none of what you take will be pre-made--be prepared to wait. Private lot, but could get full quickly. I'd definitely visit again.

They completely changed their menu along with business hours. I was a little sad, but decided to try their new menu. So far I've had the crab rolls, vegetable gimbap, and egg salad sandwich. All were delicious. I've already bought multiple times and quality/flavor is always consistent. I recommend placing an order in advance because it gets very busy around lunch time. I learned the hard way. I waited 30 minutes for 3 items vs only waiting 2 minutes to pick up my order. Orders can be placed online but no option to pay online. Only option is to pay when you pick up your food.

Trendy sandwiches and large gimbaps! You know it's authentic when there are ahjummas rolling gimbaps as you enter the shop. Not great as leftovers, so eat the items fresh! Popular items include: -Combination Isaac: would prefer more meat here. I would only get it again if I don't have time to make my own sandwiches. -Beef Bulgogi Gimbap: good amount of veggies and meat -Egg Bomb Gimbap: lots of eggs. Visit their website to view the menu details, locations, and order ahead of time! They don't accept payment online though.

Love the vibe of this place! This is a great fast food type place where you order and take it to go. They provide excellent korean kimbap or rice ball for a good price! Don't settle for frozen and get a fresh one! The workers in the store is all korean moms so you know you are getting authetic korean taste! The most interesting thing is their issac toast, which is a type of grill cheese x Okonomiyaki, very interesting and tasty.

I had the combination Issac and while I'm not a fan of whatever was sweet in there that tasted like jam, it was eventually overpowered by all the other flavors that made the sandwich great. Also something was wrong with the self register and we didn't know what to do for a while. Eventually noticed the try again button and the signature screen finally popped up. So just a note to the owner, the POS might need a reboot.

Saw this place on Instagram and have been meaning to try for awhile. I got the beef gimbap, bulgogi isaac (sando), cheese ddeokbokki,cream avocado triangle gimbap, and an iced vanilla latte. There is a bit of a wait because they make your food fresh, about 20-30 min. Everything was so good. The beef gimbap was probably my favorite: the meat is seasoned and cooked well, each roll is huge and doesn't have too much rice, and the seaweed has a nice crisp. Second favorite was the bulgogi isaac, which has HUGE portions of meat balanced out by lettuce and a crisp toast on outside. I also enjoyed the triangle gimbap, where the saltiness of the anchovy and the creaminess of the cheese inside were a good flavor combo. The cheese ddeokbokki has a thick layer of cheese on top, with good chew from the rice cake and nice flavor from the fish cake. The iced vanilla latte I thought was okay, didn't really taste much of the espresso but it also wasn't too sweet! No places inside to sit down, so very much a grab and go place.

OMG, how did I just discover this place??!! Every item we order taste amazing, fresh and delicious. The Issac (Sando) is warmly toasted, filled with healthy vegetables (thin slices of cabbage). The aunties (staffs) are friendly and the items are all made to order. Will definitely come back often to try all the options!

The location is different from the other locations / changed their menu to Korean street food with Korean sandwiches, kimbap, and triangle kimbap. Saw it all over social media and decided to check it out. Self order on kiosk. I got the avocado Issac sandwich, beef bulgogi kimbap, bacon ssamjang mayo kimbap, and a few of their triangle kimbaps. Service was sooo sweet when I went to pick up my order from the nice ladies! More of a grab and go place as there's no seating and it's small inside. Taste I would say is a little different from other Korean places I tried, but it's not bad. Portion is big for the price! Food is good to bring it to a picnic or something.

The Fremont location is really tiny and focused on take out. There is a tiny ledge to eat there but only works if no one else is there. The menu is limited compared to the other location as found out after the fact. The prices are reasonable. When we got there the ordering kiosk went offline and took what seemed forever for them to call for service and get it back online. The beef bulgogi sandwhich is ok. I would prefer the rice burrito seen in the pics but seems that's only offered at the other location. The tuna kimbap is ok. It needs a sauce which wasn't provided. If you are close by and in a pinch, sure. But I'm not so I'd rather try the other location with a larger menu.

Are you ready to try some Korean street food? This place brought back memories of my childhood in Korea--especially the street food I grew up with. The staff reminded me of the friendly "ajummas" (mom-like ladies) at food carts on the street, always smiling and cooking with so much love. They were kind and welcoming :) I also really appreciated how thoughtfully the food was packed. Sandwich was in the small open box , made it super easy to enjoy in the car, completely mess free! I felt like the sandwich was super filling, and you can tell they use fresh ingredients! And kimbap was just speechless, beautifully made and perfect for a quick lunch. (We got ham issac, avo issac, and tuna kimbap, all for two people haha) Personally, price-wise, it's very affordable compared to other places selling similar items. I'm especially grateful they manage to keep things reasonable despite rising egg prices and inflation. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of their sandwiches, kimbap, and maybe even their drinks. There's also a small standing area to eat quickly, and the inside is clean, cute, and even has a little photo spot! See it in the pic!

My sister and I wanted to go and try out this place since the sandos looked bomb.com. This location is very small, so dinning in and eating is not an option is more like a take-out or eat in your car sort of thing. Parking is definitely an issue. Theres not many spots available so best option would be to park on the street. Store is really nice and neat inside. They have the tv menus and people can order on the screen or with a cashier. The monitor to order is neat because it has pictures of the food. What we order: For drinks we order iced matcha. Matcha was really good, and it tasted like actual matcha. food; hot chicken sando 5/5, combination it has an egg in it and lots of veggies and avocado 4. spicy triangle gimbap 4/5 this is extremely spicy but soo good. Overall, this was a nice place to go to. Would be coming back to try out their bowls and wraps.

I'm amazed by this place!! Great prices for the value of food!!! I got the spam and jalapeño Kimbob. Omg the amount you get is amazing. Filling & yummy for lunch! My husband got the triangle Kimbobs & got to mix & match 3 kinds. Beef Bulgogi, Pork Bulgogi & Crab Avocado. He loved his as well. When you come in, you order on a kiosk & wait for your order. It's a grab & go, there's no seats. Totally fine! We definitely will come back to this place. In the books forever

The 5 star rating is for the food and service. Even with the small space (no seating/takeout only), the women working behind the counter were taking orders while making food, yet still had smiles on their faces and greeted us! And the food was soooo delicious! I need to pass through Fremont more frequently, haha. The menu was small (there were no bowls, like I had read), but all the ingredients tasted so fresh, like the meat in the bulgogi roll was thinly sliced and flavorful and the veggies in the veggie roll were so fresh that they crunched. I knew I loved this place when I was already thinking about what I'd order the next time I visited! [This review is based on an order-at-the-counter eatery.]

Haven't been here in a while, but they remodeled the interior and changed their menu. They have a few Instagram-esque decorations that would look great in pictures. I ordered online just so I didn't need to wait, and was able to come in and just pick it up. The ladies working here are super friendly and seemingly working non-stop making delicious food. The Kimbap is the best I've had so far in the bay. I've had the bulgogi kimbap and the fish cake kimbap, and they were both amazing and cheap with good portions. Will definitely be a regular here.

I have mixed feelings about the Rice Junky in Fremont. I used to love frequenting this spot for their Cocaine Chicken wraps, burritos, and bowls, which were flavorful and delicious. In my recent visit, they had changed their menu and it was a DISAPPOINTING experience. We ordered two things this time, a bulgogi sandwich and their three triangle gimbap (cream anchovy, bulgogi, and kimchi tuna). We waited 39 minutes. Bulgogi Sandwich: was left in a bag to become soggy for 10-15 minutes as they prepared the three gimbaps. The bread was nothing special, just generic white bread. the bulgogi marinade was too sweet to go with the basic bread. Just a bad experience despite eating it straight from the store as it was room temperature from being left out as they prepared the gimbap. Gimbap: while they took the time to wrap each individual gimbap, in my opinion, that is not the best use of time. kim chi tunawas not it for me, more on the sour side. I prefer my kim chi a little spicier and a tiny bit sweeter. The rest of the flavors (creamy anchovy, bulgogi) were okay, nothing special aside the bulgogi being similar complaint to the sandwich. The ordering process remains straightforward for a small establishment. But they may be adjusting to their new menu, as they were not efficient in their prep process. Ultimately, I don't think I will return as the menu change has left me longing for the dishes that initially drew me in. Yes, part of this review is cope but... the new options, being street food, was not a good experience for what it's worth.

I am obsessed with their gimbap and triangle gimbap! Rice Junky recently changed their business to serving Korean street food and snacks which I don't mind because I've been looking for a place to get delicious gimbap and rice balls. They also serve sandwiches that are also delicious! The gimbap is packed with ingredients and super delicious. Perfect for on the go. If you're looking for something easy to take and pack, their rice balls or triangle gimbap is amazing. They have legit packaging to keep the seaweed nice and crisp separate from the rice ball so it can be enjoyed anytime! My favorites are the spam and jalapeno and tuna mayo. They do open and close early so be sure to check hours before going and are closed on Sunday. I recommend making an order online since it can be really busy and orders might take a little longer to complete.

Man, I loved this place so much when they had the bowls and the wraps. Its ashame that their menu is so limited now. I personally hate the new menu and wished they offered some of their old wraps. My go-to was the cocaine chicken wrap with white america sauce. Now they don't offer any wraps at all! Man, another go-to no longer a go-to :(. Ps. I used to love coming here and telling them my name is Best aka 최고. :(

Bacon mayo ssamjang kimbap! Wow! I was 2 bites left and I had to take a photo to remember how yummy this was! Even better than my go-to fish cake kimbap! We love Rice Junky! Super affordable and their kimbap is really good! I like their rice to inside content ratio! Not too much rice! Parking at this trip mall is kind of limited.

New menu as of Sep 30, 2024!! A little sad that it was my first time at Rice Junky so I never got to try their old menu. They decided to revamp the menu at this location to offer more convenient, healthier AND more affordable options. The exciting item is the Isaac toast, a popular Korean street food, which is a grilled sandwich with ham, egg, cheese and lots of crunchy veggies. Usually I prefer thick bread for my sandwiches, but the thin bread slices here allow you to taste all the ingredients inside. It's so good and they have a combo one with avocado. Also available are gimbaps (traditional and triangle ones), cold sandwiches and house made salads. Gimbaps are always good! There is one with a housemade chili sauce and spam. The cold sandwiches are thiccc. And I never thought of having kabocha pumpkin and sweet potato in a salad, but now I'm a fan. The staff here are so nice!!

Tried out this place for lunch takeout and got their combination isaac toast, and 3 samgak gimbap combo (beef, pork, and crab avocado). Overall food was pretty good and filling, well worth it for their prices. The shop is small and take-out oriented so no dining in, but still well presented.

It is a take out only place. I ordered it using the tablet and my order was ready in less than 5 minutes. The bulgogi kimbap was delicious, filling and reasonably priced.

This is a take out place only. There are no tables or chairs to sit to enjoy your food. They share a small parking lot with some other businesses. We were greeted by a cashier upon entering this establishment. They have a limited menu. We saw the menu on Yelp that they have bowls and wraps. However, they no longer make them. We were pretty disappointed. We ordered the crab roll, three triangles ( bulgogi, pork bulgogi, crab avocado), beef bulgogi kimbap, fish cake kimbap, and tuna roll. There was a 15 minute wait for our order. Out of all the food that we ordered, our favorites were the three triangles and the kimbaps. The three triangles were still warm when got them. All the ingredients that they used were fresh. The crab and tuna rolls were nothing special. They're like store bought ones.

Got food through online ordering here after not having it for years. It has some funny decor. Last thing I got here was the cocaine chicken bowl which was great. This time around I got two sandwiches: Tuna Salad Sandwich (w/egg): 4/5 I liked the ratio of veg (cucumbers + lettuce) to the tuna salad. Tasted pretty good and wasn't too heavy on the mayo. Chicken Breast Sandwich: 1/5 I wasn't expecting generous portions, but I feel like I got done dirty since this sando was more expensive than the tuna salad (same price w/egg added). They gave me some Temu chicken breast bruh like what is this!?! (in the pics) Overall: 2/5 just because I liked the tuna sandwich. Don't order the chicken breast sando...

They were incredibly overwhelmed last Saturday. I hope they get some extra help moving forward because you could tell they were very sweet and trying their best in the kitchen. I didn't really see anyone being the manager there, but would having someone to help lead/manage benefit the women trying to fulfill our orders? Orders can only be made online. We wouldn't have known this had another customer not told us as we approached the front door. They have a huge sign out in front of posting their hours, but they should have an equally big sign outside telling everyone that they need to order online. If you don't have a smartphone you're out of luck, and will be turned away. I respect the workers trying their best to keep up. They were very apologetic and kept cool under so much demand. People were constantly checking on their orders or being turned away because they were sold out of items/couldn't fulfill orders in the store. In the end my friend and I were given things (all except 1 item) we didn't order because everything else we got was apparently sold out. I wanted the cheese Isaac, but got the avocado Isaac. It was really good though, quite sweet but I liked it. I wanted the Mac salad but received two onigiris instead. I received the bulgogi and CA roll flavors. I liked the CA roll more, and I'd skip the bulgogi next time. I forgot what sandwich my friend wanted but she got a salmon sandwich instead. It was really good though, similar to a lox sandwich, but better! These sandwiches are really good! Sad to see the big delay and disorganization, but this can be improved upon and I'd still return in the future as long as those things do not become consistent issues.

The food here is so good and to make it even better, these prices cant be found in the bay area. The sandwiches are less than $10! The combo of three triangle kimbob for $10 is a great deal too. Everything I've had has been good but I especially love the crab and avocado triangle, pork triangle, and their bulgogi. There's not much customer service to be had because you order from a screen yourself. The Korean aunties are furiously cooking and won't pay you much mind except to call out orders. It's also convenient and easy to order ahead online so you don't have to stand in the tiny store waiting. There's no seating so this is a grab and go place. The strip mall is small but I haven't had any issues finding parking.

This is a place I love to recommend to friends because the meat proportions are better than any other rice bowl place I've ever been too! A solid meal and for some reason last time the gave a tote bag as well which I loveeee The only reason it's missing a star is that the combo of everything in the bowl is a little weird and I don't think everything fully complements each other, but I'd still go back

Crazy line and wait. We ordered ahead and still had to wait an extra 30 mins after we arrived to get out food. The shop was ran by four Korean women. They work really fast and their kitchen is pretty small. It does however look like they got a good system going. The gimbop were very good. We got the bulgogi and fish cake. Both were considerably larger in size. Really good flavors and definitely worth the wait.

Food: 4.5 out of 5 Addicting chicken! I opted for the chicken bowl with their spicy sauce. Sauce was more like a Korean sweet and spicy version. Nevertheless I licked the bowl clean. I wish they added more of the mac salad and side of veggies. Service: 5 out of 5 Environment: 3 out of 5 To go and standing tables only. No restrooms for customers. Overall: 4.5 out of 5 A must try!

I got it with the homemade BBQ sauce and egg rice. My first choice of kimchi rice was no longer available since it was close to closing. * Vegetarian options of a bowl or wrap is available, but I didn't try it yet. Would definitely be back to try the other wraps and sides like croquette and ttekbokki.

This is the more takeout-ey location (Santa Clara is sit down) but they have super affordable and delicious Korean food. You can get $3.99 Triangle Kimbab (samgakkimbab) along with Korean favorites like their street toast or their convenience store drinks. Their triangle kimbabs have fillings like beef bulgogi, pork bulgogi, crab meat and cucumber (this was so crunchy with the cucumber bits), and like ten more flavors I haven't tried yet. They're made fresh in house every day and the packaging helps keep the seaweed fresh until you're ready to eat! Korean approved! (plus the Korean ahjummas are always so nice!)

So if your order online just be sure to allow another 30-40 minutes from the time they say it will be ready. I'm only in the area on the weekends at work and can only go during work hours. So just preplan for way earlier than when you can pick it up. Be sure to check your order before you leave. On my last visit, they won't let you order multiple of the same gimbap for example you need to order three different types of gimbap. Our favorite is the crab. So my last order of gimbap seemed a bit smaller than before; ordered 3 sets received 4 pork bulgogi (labeled one of them as crab) and was missing a mayo tuna. I messaged them and all they said is to bring a receipt. There still hasn't been a resolution yet. I don't know how they'll fix it if I only have 15 minutes to pick it up. Generally every time I've gone every one has been nice. I've gotten a few coworkers wanting to order but I guess I'd have to chance it again.

Saw a video of Rice Junky on Instagram and I instantly bookmarked it! We love kimbap so we made a point to make a little detour to grab some on our way to the pumpkin patch. I ordered ahead and good thing I did because there were a lot of people waiting when I arrived! My order was ready and I just had to pay and I was on my way. It was a very good portion for the $7-8 price point. I liked how many ingredients are used and not too much rice! Very flavorful and they didn't fall apart either. I really liked the bulgogi rice triangle also (basically an onigiri). These are perfect for road trip finger foods!

This is certainly a hole-in-wall ambiance, certainly a take out vibe and some hardworking ladies focus on giving you great service and tasty yummy Korean food. I was ready to order their coccaine chicken wrap but menu changed, I took a picture of the current menu. I'm huge supporter of small businesses and this little place is one I'll be back, for sure!
