The sponge is soft and fluffy, and the kaya cream is rich, fragrant, and not overly sweet. I also appreciate that they offer a mini version, which is perfect for a small treat without overindulging. One suggestion for improvement: it would be great if they could offer basic cashless payment options—PayWave.

This is a takeaway kiosk from the famous local Swiss roll maker. I was surprised to find them having an outlet here at changi airport as I always thought that they had been very traditional, operating out of the old school shop at Kandahar street. Of course, since I’m here, I need to buy some back. The older folks had always preferred the Kaya ones whereas the kids preferred the chocolate roll. They have a long history here in Singapore. My missus has been buying from them for a long time now. Why we liked them so much? I think what my mum said summarized it all. It’s old school, traditional and very local. Their rolls do not have the very strong butter or milk taste to it which makes them easy to go down. One can simply down one roll in one eating.

Came here to get our swiss roll fix with my partner and friends on 2-Dec Appreciate the staff for going above and beyond for us in her service that day. The red velvet cheesecake for my BIL's birthday is well made and was an excellent choice, sadly we came abit late at night hence the durian swiss roll was sold out. we bought blueberry and mango instead and they were nice

Rich and good has a long history of selling swiss roll and it's known for its softness and fluffiness. Used to buy it long ago when it's $6/7 dollar and prices had surged. Currently they offer $12 for regular since and $6 for small size. Nevertheless the roll is still good and noted that it has more flavour since then. My friend recommended the kaya and durian flavour, and I went for the regular size. The durian is good as I could taste and smell durian (not sure if there is real durian in it). I finish most of it in an instant.

I used to queue at their Kandahar street outlet and enjoy eating their Kaya roll. Went to buy at jewel and ate it within 2 days but I felt it’s not as soft as before. Taste wise is still good and not sweet. To eat the whole $12 roll in 2 days by myself is too much. Good that they came up with the half roll option $6.50. The staff serving was not jovial as I will like to see.

Always a fan of their kaya and durian roll cakes going at $12 per roll. Mostly cashless transactions. Queue moves fast also. Need to finish cake within 2 days.

The rolls were good, but the service was very disappointing. We approached a staff member who was sweeping the floor and politely asked if the store was still open. Her response was rude — she said, “We’re actually closed, but these are the only flavors left,” in an unfriendly tone. Despite that, we decided to proceed with our order. She then slammed the broom down, went behind the counter, and threw the rolls onto the table with visible attitude. We would have been completely understanding if she had simply said the store was closed, we have no issue with that. But if you’re still willing to sell, basic courtesy and professional behavior should be expected. the service experience definitely needs improvement. We don’t owe you anything!

There’s usually a long queue and so never bought it to try until the day when I spotted just a few people in line. Bought the box of mini rolls at $20 to try different flavours. The cake texture is light and yet satisfying. Coupled with light cream and flavouring/fruit rolled into the cake, makes it a very nice dessert. I like the mango flavour. Lady serving me was nice and explained that the cake needs to be refrigerated and can keep for 2-3 days. If want to keep longer better to put in freezer.

Yelp
Always a long line to buy the delicious rolls. Loved the kaya and mango ones. Soft and full of flavor oozing with cream and soft sponge cake. The rolls are dense and long. Not precut, you have to cut it yourself to enjoy. Savoy with black coffee with out sugar and you will feel the punch of the flavors. 5 stars for taste and value. One request, please make more of your delicious rolls so that we won't have to wait so long...
